Travel Day - Washington, Illinois to Atwater, California

Saturday was a long travel day. We loaded up the Green Machine and drove a little over 3 hours to St. Louis. It was an uneventful drive except for some great pictures...

Especially these two below! This is Courtney, Kelly Jo's niece. She woke up after about 90 minutes and said, "I think I went to sleep for a minute." It was hilarious!

I dropped the girls at the airport and drove the Green Machine to its parking spot for the next 10 days. It sure looks awfully lonely there.

We loaded on the plane for Courtney's first flight. After a short layover in Minneapolis we flew to Sacramento, California.

Our first stop in California? In N Out, of course!

We finally arrived at the Burris home in Atwater about 11:30 Saturday night. They were waiting in the driveway when we pulled in. It was so good to be welcomed with open arms by our dear friends.

We had a very full day today (Sunday). I am posting this about 11:00 pacific time Sunday night. I will try to post more about the day and the services sometime on Monday.

God bless you all.

  1. I am EXTREMELY jealous. An airline flight (I love to fly) and an "In n Out" burger...It's killing me! The only thing worse (or better...depending on how you look at it) would be some of Brother Cliff Burris'BBQ Tri-Tip and Sister Cindy's "Bacon rolled in batter and fried"!

    God Bless!
