2025 Mother’s Day Weekend Recap

 Hey Friends,

I am so glad you stopped by to visit with us. I hope your week is going well!

Here is a quick update on my Mamaw. Mom and I spent some time with them at the hospital yesterday afternoon. She was still very weak, but improving!

The doctor was pleased with her progress and her numbers. The plan was for her to go home sometime today!

She wanted me to thank everyone for their prayers and concern for her. Thank God for answering our prayers!

I have some photos from our weekend to share with you. On Saturday, we spent time with my Uncle Danny Morgan and his family, Gran and Papaw. We had a great day with them!

The weather was perfect for a zoo day, so we visited the Columbus, Ohio, zoo. It was extremely crowded!

We were thrilled to spend the day enjoying sunshine and family. Although I only captured a handful of pictures, countless memories were made! This was little Kolby’s first zoo trip.

Sunday afternoon we also had more Morgan family time. Mom and I decided to surprise everyone and show up for the Mother's Day family dinner.

With two services at our church on Sunday, my mom being in the hospital And my mom's parents live an hour and a half away, I did not know if we could pull it off. The day was jampacked full, but I am so glad that we were able to be with my grandmother for a little while on Mother's Day.

Saturday and Sunday both we did spend some time with my Boggs Grandparents! I did not take any pictures of my Mamaw since she was in the hospital. Sick or not, she is still beautiful!

Here is a picture from a few weeks ago! I love both Mamaw and Papaw dearly!

We will wrap it up with a few pictures that I snapped during church on Sunday. We are blessed to be part of DRPC!

See you all tomorrow!

Sedgwick County Zoo 2022

Hey Friends,

This is Odie checking with you! I hope you are doing well.  We are doing great here in Ohio. We are already in the midst of great revival near home. I am sure you will get a full report later.

Today we are rewinding to Wichita, Kansas, for this post. I promised to tell you about some of my Kansas fun. My faithful readers know Mom and I love visiting the zoo whenever we get the chance. We try to squeeze in a visit to squeeze a trip to Sedgwick County Zoo every year or two.

The weather was perfect for our annual zoo trip. The weather man forecasted 106 for the day that we scheduled for the zoo. Extreme heat is a given for Wichita. We were prepped and ready for a fun day!

Aunt Karen joined us for the 2022 adventure. We were thrilled to spend a few hours with her. It is always great to add to our list of memories with her!

Here are the pictures that Mom and I snapped at the zoo. Mom took some great shots. She kept telling me we have already photographed this animal every year. I was determined to get pictures for our blog readers.

I enjoy the elephant exhibit at Sedgwick County Zoo. You can tell the people in charge focus on the elephants.

As You can tell, most of the animals were ready for a nap.

I love my Mama!

We went early before the heat of the day. It really was not too terrible. The company was great!

I had a rough time trying to get pictures. My focus was on driving the scooter that I had rented. This scooter was more like a tank. Thankfully I made it through the day without killing anyone. I also did not have any significant accidents.

I really like seeing all of the beautiful birds. They were very vocal that day.

The Orangutans were active. I think they were our favorite animals of the day.

There you have our 2022 Sedgwick County Zoo trip. We only spent three hours there, but they were great! We were able to see most of the animals during that time.

Here is a tip if you are planning a Sedgwick County Zoo visit this summer. They are offering Twilight Tuesday. Where the zoo is open later on Tuesdays. The admission price was drastically reduced! I believe it was $3 a person. Stroller and regular wheelchair rentals were offered for a reasonable price.

I am adding this tidbit for my memory's sake. In 2022 the scooter rental was $25 plus tax. $30 plus tax for a scooter with a canopy.

Thanks for coming to the zoo today. I hope you were able to stay cool! I suggest this zoo to everyone interested. We give it five stars! Mom and I look forward to our next zoo trip. You will hear about it here.
