A Word For Wednesday, Peaches And Frost

Good Morning!Thank you for joining us today. We are glad to be back. We are so happy to bring you A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Peaches do not need frost to grow but sometimes men do! There are times in life when a good frost will help men to mature and grow. A frost may kill a peach harvest physically but that same frost may prosper a man spiritually.

Hardships thrust on us by the world and the devil to kill us can speak life into us instead by the grace, power snd providence of God.

Thank you for joining us today. It is always good to have you.

A Word For Wednesday - Trusting Our Lord to Lead - He Maketh No Mistake

Thank you for joining us today. We are glad to be back. We are so happy to bring you A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

I am talking about John the Baptist today and the crisis of faith he experienced briefly in prison. Christ had a message tailor made for John and John received it.

Have you ever wondered what God was doing while you were in trouble? We must learn to trust our Lord to lead us even when we do not understand Him. God makes No mistakes!

More Good News-Stepping Up!

Yesterday I posted an update on my recovery.

Also, I have posted a video with the information in yesterday's post and more good news from today.

Monday was also a monumental day at therapy. During physical therapy, they worked with me for most of the hour on walking without assistance. I was a little unsteady, or maybe a lot unsteady, but they had me walking pretty fast and quite a bit of distance.

Also, occupational therapy was designated to be the day that they would give me cognitive tests to see if I was ready to begin driving again. They had prepared me for this, but this was the day to take all the tests in one hour.

It is actually a series of cognitive tests along with a speed test to make sure I can get from the gas pedal to the brake pedal and a test to see if I recognize and comprehend traffic signs. I passed all the tests with flying colors and they have approved me to begin driving.

The neurologist has the final say and they can require me to take a driving test from a professional driving instructor, The therapist does not think they will require it. She said there is no doubt my cognitive skills are at the right level.

I have begun driving some, but I have such a good chauffeur, that I do not have much need to drive. ❤️ I will hold off on driving the bus for a little bit, to make sure I feel comfortable enough to attempt it. There is no sense in doing something stupid.

That is the good news for today. We are making progress, stepping up one day at a time. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Friday Night Revival at 8:00 PM Eastern

Today is a reminder of our third and final night of revival from Nigeria on Friday night at 8 PM Eastern.

This is the last night of the Gospel Crusade was on a Saturday night in December. I preached to those in need of a miracle from God.  The response at the end of the preaching was tremendous

The people in Nigeria honor me and respect me way beyond what I could ever earn or expect. Bro. Shobanke has loved me greatly and he has passed that love on to his people.

They seem to listen close to every word and are immediately ready to come to the altar and believe God is going to give them their miracle. It really is a sight for us to behold.

I have never preached good enough in Nigeria to merit the response that they demonstrate, but I love preaching in that type of environment. wow! What a wonderful relationship and wonderful amazing services we have enjoyed since 2007.

Thank you for making plans to join us Friday night at 8 PM Eastern. It will be great to have you and to hear from you.

Thank you for reading today. May God bless you.

He Is Still God

Hey Friends,

Odie here with a post for the final Saturday of January. One month ago, our plans changed in an instant. God has been with us every day! I am still thankful that we can lean on God.

Almost two weeks ago, Dad graduated from the hospital/ rehab to my home. We stepped into the next stage in his stroke recovery process. These are some of the facts that Dad talked about this week here on the blog.

Mom and I doing our best to assist Dad in his recovery. He still has a long road ahead, but He is working hard! God will see us through it all!

We are continuing to rejoice in every bit of forward progress! I praise the Lord every time I see him drink some water! God is a miracle worker! He is helping Dad every day. Here is another step in the miracle that happened this week. We are keeping the faith!

Thank you to many who have let us know you are still praying! Here are a few things to pray about specifically: for the swallowing to fully function, the numbness of his right side to go away, including his right vocal cord, the dizziness to completely subside and good rest. I know there are lots of other areas, but that is what I am praying for right now.

I will close with one of my favorite songs. My parents wrote this song several years ago. I keep thinking of the words in the last four weeks. It describes our current path.

I do not see the purpose and plan behind this season of life! But I must remember that He is God and we are just human! Today, I am saying, Lord, You are God! I trust you to see us through this day!

Thank you for stopping by for a visit!

YouTube Revival Announcement

We have a Revival announcement today. Beginning Friday night and running a total of three Friday nights, we are going to post revival videos on our YouTube channel.

These are NOT current revival services but services from the Gospel Crusade in December at Christ Ambassadors Holiness Church in Abeokuta, Nigeria. Please take note of this. These services are from December.

This was the final revival for us in 2023. The crusade ran on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights outdoors at the church.

I had already edited these videos before Christmas hoping to post them at sometime in January. Now is the time.

The first night I am preaching to people who are hurting, the second night I am preaching directly to those who need to be saved and the third night I am preaching to those who need a miracle.

I am preaching with an interpreter and that will be included in the video. I hope that you enjoy the videos. We had an awesome time those three nights in Nigeria.

I think that you will see how much I love and enjoy preaching to the Nigerian people. They are sitting on the edge of their seats, pulling the preaching out of me and I love every moment of it.

I added some bloopers from Odie at the end of Friday's video. She was recording an introduction for me this week and we laughed so hard I thought I was going to pop the feeding tube out of my stomach. I posted the bloopers video this morning separately. Let us know what you think.

Thank you for joining us today and I hope you will join us Friday night at 8:00 Eastern/7:00 Central time.

Thank you.

1/15 Monday Davy Update

Hey Friends,

This Is Odie here with the Monday report on my Dad. We are continuing to rejoice over Dad's Swallow And Praise from yesterday!

God is a miracle worker! He is healing my Dad one day at a time! Words can not explain my gratitude and praise for our magnificent Lord!

Please share this video with anyone you know who has been praying for our family! We want the world to see a miracle in action!

If all goes well, Dad will complete his in-patient therapy today. He should be home by this evening,

I will let Dad tell you about his current condition later, once he is home. He still has a long way to go to a full recovery. The rest of Dad's miracle is on the way! We will keep praying, trusting, believing and praising!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers! The many comments on the blog and YouTube, texts calls. emails and cards of encouragement have brightened our days! We love our family and friends dearly!

Swallow And Praise! Davy Update 1/14

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting for this Sunday's post. Yesterday was a two post kind of day. Check both of them out here and here if you missed seeing them.

They are both worth reading! The morning post was about our precious friend Dorcas in Nigeria. The second one was a Saturday Evening Post. It was an encouraging update from my mother about Dad. We praise God for each movement of forward progress in Dad's recovery.

I was getting ready for church this morning when I received a YouTube notification on my phone. Dad posted a video from the hospital. I immediately opened the video! This is what my eyes and heart saw!

I had a little church right here in my bedroom! He's An On Time God, even on a frigid January day!

Then I had to share the good news with you! Please keep praying for a  complete miracle! God is at work. I know the family of God has been going to war on our behalf! We are so thankful for the grace of God in the last 16 days!

A Word For Wednesday, A Well of Water-Testimony

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

A church and community needed water badly and now they have water! Praise God! I received a video of the well on Christmas Eve!

The church that needed water is Landmark Christ Mission and the Pastor is our dear friend, Pastor Stephen Kuye. By God's grace and the help of His people, we were able to take resources to drill a well on their property. They struck water at 100 meters down! They are so happy and my heart is overjoyed.

Now they have an abundant supply of water for their church and for the muslim community around their church in Ibadan, Nigeria. Hallelujah!

Thank you for joining us today.

A Word For Wednesday, A Christmas Journey

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

I love to see the Christmas scenes portrayed by the children in our churches. The angels talking to Mary and Joseph, no room at the inn, the manger scene, the angels singing to the shepherds, the shepherds going to see the Christ child and many more.

These scenes made me thing of another Christmas scene. I was considering the 100 mile journey by Joseph and his wife great with child. God was drawing them to Bethlehem so they would be in the prophesied place for Christ to be born. What an amazing Christmas Journey!

Thank you for joining us today.

Today I am giving you an update from our second week in Abeokuta including a few pictures and about 40 seconds of preaching at the Gospel Crusade.

The short clip is from the second night of the Crusade. I recorded a few of the sermons in whole, but I have not had a chance yet to review them. IF you would like for me to post the videos in complete form let me know.

I hope you enjoy.

A Word For Wednesday The #1 Reason For Revival

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

There is one main reason we are spending our lives trying to be and instrument of revival across America and that is that souls might be saved!

Paul said of Jesus, This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. I Timothy 1:15

Christ came with one great aim and that is to save sinners. That is our one great aim in life!

In September, Milton was saved under the Blue and White Gospel Tent in Richton, Mississippi. Pastor Scott Morris baptized Bro. Milton recently and I have a video of it for you.

If you would like to argue the technique or formula for baptism, please move on! This is neither the time nor the place. This is how we do it, but today we are celebrating the salvation of an 80 year old man during revival! Wow! It is a beautiful thing!

I appreciate Bro. Milton and Pastor Scott Morris allowing me to post the video of the baptism. Sis. Felicia Cochran provided the video and I appreciate her permission to post it.

Thank you for stopping by.

Have you reached out and helped anyone around you with kindness lately? Today, I am telling a story that I read recently and I hope it encourages you toward random acts of kindness! We need one another more than we realize at times. God has placed us here to be a help to others. There is a great blessing in that.

Thank you for stopping in.

A Word For Wednesday-Be Not Weary In Well Doing

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

I have an encouragement for you today.
II Thessalonians 3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

Be Not Weary In Well Doing! You are struggling to maintain. You are struggling to keep your head above water financially, emotionally and spiritually. You are fighting with everything within to be the person you need to be to thrive and survive.

It is very easy to give into despair, but Paul encourages us and I want to encourage you today, be not weary in well doing. Your reward is still ahead. When God settles the final accounts, we will hear Him say,
Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Hallelujah!!!

Thank you for watching today.

A Word For Wednesday, NoThing Too Hard For God!

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Will you do me a favor? Please share this A Word For Wednesday with your friends and family. It would help us and the channel a bunch if you would and might help a friend or family member too.😍

This is the first verse of a prayer of Jerimiah, Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: Jerimiah 32:17

The proclamation is There is nothing too hard for thee. There is nothing too hard of God! Bro. Bill Houston used to say, There is No Thing to hard for God.

I know that everyone has a "thing" they need God to move in. Listen to me friend, there is NO Thing too hard for God. God can work a miracle in your thing no matter what it is!

Thank you for joining us today.

A Word For Wednesday-All Things New

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Several years ago we were invited to sing at a church in an area and city that were completely unknown to us. We were delighted to accept the invitation and put the church on the schedule at our first possibility.

We knew nothing about the church's history, doctrine or members. All we knew was that the people we met were kind and desired us to sing for them.

The fact of the matter is this, no church ever gets just singing from us. I am a preacher and the Word of God is going to come out if you want us to sing for 45 minutes or an hour. I preached between songs that night and we had a wonderful time.

As we were shaking hands after the service and taking down our sound system, I had two very interesting and completely sincere questions.

#1 You mentioned revival. What is revival?

#2 You said that people such as alcoholics, drug addicts and others could be instantly changed by Christ. Is that true?

Can God really make a drastic change in a life? Can God make everything new? This is what the Bible says.

II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Oh, yes He can! Hallelujah! God will radically and drastically change us when we come unto God by Him! I was happy that night to tell those precious people that God has and will make an instant and substantial difference in lives.

Thank you for joining us today.

A Word For Wednesday-Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

So glad you joined us today. It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. A few moments ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

We are instructed to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We are also told that we are blessed by God when we bless God's people and we are cursed of God when we curse God's people. Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Thank you for watching today.
