No-Miss November

I try to post regular to the blog. I usually think I'm doing pretty good if I can put up 18-20 posts per month. The only time I hear from some folks is when I'm not posting often enough. Lol. That's OK. It is nice to be wanted. At least I know you are out there. I intend to post often but I want to have good content as well. I admire people that can post something interesting or thought provoking every day.

I am obviously not there yet but I did manage another No-Miss Nobember. That is, for the second year in a row I posted everyday in November. I worked on posts for this month from Montana, Utah, California, Georgia and Ohio. I typed posts on airplanes, in airports, sitting in McDonald's, standing outside in one place so I could get signal and in the warmth of the BoggsMobile. I have wrote about revival, friends, family, weather, churches, Pastors, music, food or whatever else came to mind. I have posted pictures of special people, places and some of my favorite foods! 30 days and 30 blog posts.

Posting everyday is certainly not a great accomplishment in the grand scheme of things but it's done. Now I hope I can think of something to write about tomorrow.

Until then... Back to the weather...
It snowed here at home last night. We were on our way to church in the rain when, lo and behold, it turned into snow! It is not the first day of snow here this year or the first we have seen this year but it did surprise us. After our experience in February with the Tulsa blizzard even a little snow makes me want to go WAY south!

Thanks for reading the blog. I hope it is warm where you are.

Thanksgiving Dinner With The Boggs Family

Saturday afternoon we gathered at the Fellowship Hall at Dodds for the Boggs Family Thanksgiving Dinner. It Was ALL good. Everybody was there except for one nephew Victor. Plus our cousin Lisa joined us and it's always great to have her celebrating with us.

Here is a glimpse of some of the craziness that is the Boggs family. Now you know where it comes from...

Let's begin again with the turkey!

No Boggs dinner is complete without a cheese tray...
Can you tell we nibble on the appetizers while the meal is receiving the finishing touches?

I would grow a beard but I don't know which chin to grow it on...

This is my baby brother, Tommy. He can do amazing things!

We also celebrated Jay (My Brother in Law's) 40th Birthday.

Sunday at Anchor of Hope

Sunday we were at Anchor of Hope near Lebanon, Ohio. Pastor Bill Lamb and his congregation have been very kind to us though the years. I have actually known them all of my life. Bro. Lamb and his family were a big part of the church I grew up in at Dodds until he became Pastor of this church nearly 37 years ago. I grew up around their older boys and still consider them all good friends. It is always a privilege to be with them again.

Both services were very good with folks around the front receiving help from the Lord. It was especially good Sunday night and I believe God changed some situations. I know people are struggling right now and the weight of the bad economy makes it even worse but I sense folks are able to believe that God is going to help. If we can believe that God is able then all things are possible. It may be impossible with men but nothing is too hard for our God.

The weather has turned a little cooler and it is raining a whole big bunch here in Ohio but it could be much worse. It could be bitterly cold this time of year and that would turn all of this rain into snow. I will gladly take the rain and day time temps in the 50s. Oops, I just checked the weather on my phone and now they are predicting 40s. But at least I'm not shoveling snow yet. Praise God for the small things...right?

God Bless you all!

Anthony Abner sang  a lot at Dodds Church while I was growing up. I always wanted to sing like him. He and his dad, Reuben, were outstanding singing together. Bro. Anthony sang Sunday night! Wow! That guy can still sing!

They dedicated several children on Sunday morning. We ended up being related to at least two of them!

More Pictures From Sharonville, Ohio

Posted Sunday

We only had four nights for revival in Sharonville at the Free Holiness Church of God but God surely blessed and helped in each service. The altar service each night was wonderful. Praise God for His grace. I appreciate Pastor Randy Brown inviting us to Sharonville. We look forward to returning soon.

Last night we had a big feast with the Boggs clan. I will try to post pictures from that tomorrow. Today we are supposed to preach both services near Lebanon, Ohio at Anchor of Hope for Pastor Bill Lamb. We always enjoy being there.

We brought the BoggsMobile with us to Anchor even though its only a short distance. It was parked at Dodds Church while we made the western swing by plane so it had been in one place for five weeks. Although I started it and let it run when we came back from Arizona it needed to be driven. The batteries were so weak that I had to charge them before starting. Plus I don't want the folks at Dodds to think I am homesteading over there. They are so kind to allow me to park when I am home so I sure don't want to take advantage of their kind hospitality. We will move back over there after the weekend.

Here are a few pictures from revival...

Sis. Margie Howard received so much help in the altar Tuesday night. She came into church Wednesday night with a permanent smile! We are still praising God for helping this dear sister.

This is the choir having their picture taken. I slipped in on the action from the side...
