PFYC 2020 Canceled

Hello, Friends,

This is Odie checking in from Ohio. I hope and pray that all of you are well! Our world is in great turmoil today. Every few minutes things are changing even more. It is hard to keep up! I can only bear so much information. I find my mind reaching my saturation point!

God has truly helped me, I am so thankful that I can cast this care on my mighty God.  He is holding all of us during this uncertain time! It is a relief knowing that He is always near. I just wanted to remind you God is with you today!

I will leave you with a special announcement below. Thanks for reading!

PFYC 2020 Canceled

I received this message Monday evening about PFYC 2020. Please read and pass this on to others!

"Due to the request of President Trump to refrain from gatherings over 10 people, we are cancelling the Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference 2020. We are praying for our country, your families and churches that the Lord would keep each of you in this time of trouble. Take a deep breath, God is in control.
Sincerely,

PFYC 2020 And Odie Update

Special Update About PFYC 2020

This is Odie, last Saturday I shared a post about the upcoming PFYC 2020.  You can find it by clicking here. Yesterday I received a text message update about the conference. I wanted to pass it on to you. Please share this message word others too.

After the PFYC update, I will have more below.

Official Statement from PFYC Board of Directors concerning PFYC 2020:

"The status of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is changing daily and our staff is listening carefully to ongoing guidance and updates from state and federal agencies. We have been in contact with Sevier County, TN City Manager and the Governor of Tennessee - Bill Lee both of which have assured us that we are safe to continue with our event. There are no plans to limit sizes of gatherings. In light of the ongoing attention given to the virus, we are making this public statement to assure you that we are taking this situation seriously and that the health and safety of attendees remains our top priority.

First, all events and activities remain as scheduled. As of today, there are no directives from the CDC or state authorities to avoid domestic travel or limit large groups. It is important to note, however, that the situation is fluid and we will provide updates as dictated by officials. In short, we are having PFYC unless the LeConte Center or TN State/ local authorities require us to cancel. It would be a mistake to cancel 23 days out when this may be under control in a week or so.

We are grateful for your confidence in us and reiterate we are taking the situation serious.  If there is a mandatory cancelation or the board deems it necessary, we will be sure to get the message out ASAP! Thank you for joining with us to take steps to keep our folks safe. Let’s be in prayer for the Lord's will to be done".

 Sincerely,
Rev. David J. Webb

Odie Update

Hey Friends,

I am checking in from Ohio. Dad asked me to write a post for you. My parents are doing good. It is hard to keep track of them because of the seventeen hour time difference from their location and mine. I am grateful for the technology that allows us to chat daily. We can at least stay somewhat connected across the world.

Several of my friends have text or called to make sure that I am surviving at home. I appreciate everyone being concerned about my well being! I am glad to report that I am making it just fine.

I know that many people near me are available if I need anything. I am so thankful for my family and friends that help me get where I need to go. It has been really good to attend church at Dryden Road this week.

Something that is now available in my area is grocery delivery from Walmart. I have now utilized the service twice. It is very convenient for me to get my groceries this way. I push my laundry cart outside. The delivery guy loads my bags in the cart. Then I take them inside. Now my cabinets and fridge are stocked. Have you used grocery delivery from Walmart? If you have not used grocery pickup or delivery click here. You can save $10 on your first order by using my link.

One thing I enjoy about being home is getting salsa and food from Alcapulco. Monday I got a call from Mamaw telling me she wanted Alcapulco. Mamaw and Papaw said they were coming to get me for lunch and I definitely did not try to change their minds.😀 We had a fabulous lunch!

Yesterday I was able to spend a few hours with my Mom 's parents. I always have a blast with Gran and Papaw. There was lots of laughter, food, and, as usual, ice cream was involved in our fun times together. Thank you, Gran and Papaw, for spending part of your day with me. Soon It was time for them to head home.

Well, that is a quick update from Ohio. Thank you for reading.

PFYC 2020 Is In Sight

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in from my Beach Cottage in Ohio. I am happy to be home! Thank you for praying for us. This week was a whirlwind of travel for us. We have reached our desired destinations and it is time to breathe and relax. I will do my best to keep you updated from my end.

Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference (PFYC)

One of my favorite events to attend is the Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference. I love going to this conference, every year I get the chance. It is an encouraging two-day conference. I always leave renewed. God continually shows up in a mighty way! The Word of God is preached and lives are changed. You can worship with great music and singing.

You can see our other post about past years at PFYC by clicking here. I have enjoyed scrolling through the pictures. We have obtained many great memories from the Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference. I look forward to collecting more PFYC memories in the future.

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is the beautiful location of PFYC. It is an annual two-day event, Thursday and Friday. Most years PFYC is the first weekend in April, but occasionally it is the last weekend of March.

People join together from across the nation at the Leconte Center. The board of PFYC always do a superb job planning and producing a top-notch conference. It is a grand experience that I recommend to everyone!

PFYC 2020 Is In Sight

PFYC 2020 is set to take place on April 2-3. The theme for this year is "2020 Vision". Over the two days, the schedule is loaded with some fantastic speakers and topics. I know this will be a wonderful year at PFYC.

Pictures of PFYC 2019 Friday and Conference In Notes

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in from the road. Today is a fabulous day for me. The BoggsMobile is homeward bound for the first time since January 3rd. I am excited to see my family, my little Beach Cottage and drink some Alcapulco salsa.

We had a fantastic time Thursday and Friday at the Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference. It is hard to believe that PFYC 2019 is now in the history books.

I always look forward to recharging my spiritual batteries at PFYC. It is a wonderful time for me to receive strength for myself! Each year we hear wonderful messages from God’s word and anointed singing and experience powerful altar services. I not only look forward to getting my help from God, but I love praying with others too!

PFYC is a great place to see a ton of friends that we do not get to see often. It is always fun to chat with as many people as possible. Yesterday We posted pictures from Thursday at PFYC and you will find pictures from Friday below along with my notes from the services.

I encourage you to make plans now to attend PFYC 2020. Mark the calendar now the dates for next year will be April 2nd and 3rd. You can find more information about the Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference by clicking here for their website.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today. I appreciate you spending some time with us here in our corner. Have a great weekend.
