Remembering Aunt Vivian Carol Montgomery

 Hey Friends,

Our family is grieving a loss. Saturday, God chose to take our Aunt Carol home to Heaven. Read her tribute HERE

Thank you for praying for her last week! I requested prayer a couple of days. Her heart was in bad shape. Things did not go as we hoped they would.

Ultimately Aunt Carol is much better than the rest of us! She is free from the heartache and cares of this life. She will no longer suffer from any ailments. Her 83 years are completed.

We as a family hurt, because we do not want to be separated from her. She was special to each of us. Our family has always had Carol the sister, aunt and friend. Things suddenly changed for us and we are extremely saddened.

We will miss our beautiful Aunt. Her smile, laugh and antics will be missed. We have been reminiscing. Thankfully we have many fabulous Carol memories.

Please keep my Gran, her brother and three sisters in your prayers. Also, there is a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

I will close with my favorite memory of my Aunt Carol. This happened when I was around 10. One day my aunts were visiting Gran an Papaw. We were sitting around talking about names. The conversation went to names we all thought were crazy.

Aunt Carol asked me Odie what do you think of the name Vivian? I had never heard that name! I responded with ooh yuck that's a horrible name!!

Needles to say she loved my reaction. That was exactly what she was wanting me to do. Aunt Carol went on to tell me her name was Vivian!

I was blown away. I had no idea she went by her middle name. I ate humble pie for a while, and Aunt Carol loved it!

That year, for Christmas, she bought me a 36-inch-tall porcelain doll named Vivian. I kept in my rooms for years. Looking at that doll brought a smile to my face.

The last several years I called her Vivian. I love the name now! She signed all my cards with Aunt Vivian. I am probably the only person that called her Vivian regularly.

Thank you for reading. See you tomorrow!

A Very Morgan Thanksgiving 2025

 Hey Friends,

Mom and I spent yesterday in Hillsboro, OH. It was Morgan Thanksgiving at Gran and Papaw’s. We all were able to be together. It was a great Thanksgiving!

I spent most of the day on the couch. I was just happy that felt well enough to be there! Below are some pictures I snapped along with some more from Joey’s camera.

See you tomorrow!

Pray For Pastor Doug Stevens

 Hey Friends,

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit today! It is always good to have you in my corner.

I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to everyone who let us know that you are enjoying our new project. Your comments and reviews me so much! Click here for information about our project, The Next Step.

Pray For Pastor Doug Stevens

I have a special prayer request for you today. Our dear friend, Pastor Doug Stevens, needs your prayers. Bro. Doug, pastors the High Point Pentecostal Church in West Paducah, Kentucky.

He is facing open-heart surgery. Last I heard it was scheduled for tomorrow. He also has some other ailments that need correcting. We would love for God to touch our friend!

Bro. Doug and Sis. Vickie have been precious friends to us! We love them so much! Our hearts have been very burdened for them since we received the news of his sickness.

He is one of my encouragers! I feel so honored that he takes time to send me encouraging text and I know he truly does pray for me and my Mom.

He text me the other day to encourage me about our music. It was so thoughtful of him! You see, he is in the hospital, facing surgery, and he took time to text me about the music! His message made me tear up. It was so special!

I was humbled and honored! I told Mom, I am supposed to be the one encouraging him right now. Bro. Doug flipped it. 😀

It was just a reminder to me to always try to encourage someone! Even on a terrible day, I can send a text or give a smile.

Please join me and praying for Bro. Doug, that the surgery and recovery would go well! Also, pray for Sis. Vickie and all of their family! I am sure they need peace and strengthduring this difficult time!

I know I mentioned prayer request on here lots. Most of the people you may never meet. God knows who they are and what their needs.

We serve a prayer answering God! I have been a recipient time after time of the prayers from God's people! Every prayer really does matter! In closing, I wanted to say, thank you Lord in advance for helping our friends!

See you all next time!
