A Window Into Our Plans

Well, we should be on our way home!

If all goes according to plan, we will leave Abeokuta Monday afternoon to make the long trip to the airport in Lagos. Bro. Shobanke and a couple of men will go inside the airport with us and wait while we go through the luggage check and ticketing process. After an hour or two of this, they will walk with us to security and we will say a long goodbye as we submit to more inspection and questions.

As we wait a few hours for our departure, Bro. Shobanke and his men will make the long trip home to Abeokuta. Hopefully, they will be missing us a little, because I know I will be missing them a lot! May God bless our dear friends!

We will fly overnight toward the US and then a second flight toward Knoxville. The BoggsMobile will not be ready to be picked up so we will find a cheap room somewhere and sleep with no interruptions for a few days. It sounds like a good plan, by God's grace.

With all that excitement going on Monday night and all day Tuesday, there will be no opportunity to post a Mile Marker. I have saved a few pictures that will fit nicely into this spot.

Windows
In last Friday's post about the GoodNews Christian School, I told you about some of the projects we have helped with there and a little about the building project that is in progress. When we arrived in Nigeria the first week, I was reminded of another project that was accomplished last year.

In 2017 Bro. Shobanke's main branch church building needed new windows badly. With the help of God's people, we were able to provide the funds for them to install new windows all around. The windows are absolutely beautiful and have been a great addition to the church facility.

I took pictures of a few of the windows for you.

There was another improvement to the church that we had nothing to do with, but it was done for me.

Bro. Shobanke is always worried about me overheating when I am preaching in his church. I do not know why he would worry, unless it is the gallons of sweat that pours off of me almost constantly while I am here.

He wanted to install a small air conditioner to his office before my coming to Nigeria this year. He announced his plan and someone volunteered to pay the price for a small mini-split system for Bro. Shobanke's office.

Yes, it was very refreshing after preaching! Wow! Thank you. That was so thoughtful!

Thank you for joining us today.
