Vintage View Vednesday Mount Sinai 2007

Since we were preaching for our friends at Mount Sinai in Dothan last week, it seemed appropriate that the Vintage View post this week give you a glimpse of the very earliest stages of construction of their beautiful church.

This is a picture I snapped last week.

You can see more pictures from last week HERE.

Bro. Watson and his family and small congregation began the church in a small rented building in the fall of 2005. They immediately began to make plans to find land to build a church. In May of 2007 we were part of the service to celebrate paying off the debt on the property.

The footers were already dug and they poured the footers and slab within days, if my memory serves me correctly. The new completed church was dedicated in October 2010.

These pictures sure bring back memories for us. I hope you enjoy this Vintage View Vednesday.

This picture is inside the original rented church building.

Burning the note.
