Vintage View Vednesday-The Last of Vacation 2012

Today is Vintage View Vednesday and we have the final pictures from our vacation in 2012.

The vacation that I have been posting from was in the spring of 2012. It was the very first time we went on a cruise and we actually booked the cruise part a full year in advance so that we could work our schedule around it. It was a repositioning cruise from Miami to Rome for 15 nights and several ports for $500 a person.

That is $1000 total for both of us for 15 nights accommodations, all the delicious food we could cram in our mouths and visiting several countries and seeing things we had never seen and may never see again. It was a steal of a deal.

We flew to Miami on airline miles, paid for one night hotel room in the Miami area. We also paid for one night hotel room in Italy and then paid for flights from Rome to Cincinnati. It was one of the greatest trips we have ever taken and we barely spent $100 a day!

Wow! When can we go again?

The first day we met these two ladies. One of them lived 12 miles from our hometown. It really is a small world.

The last day we exited the ship at a port near Rome and toured all day before going to the hotel. We first visited Tivoli where we ate awesome pizza and toured a palace and garden that was tremendous.

They had several different kind of pizza in display cases. One we pointed to what we wanted and chose the serving size, they weighed it and told us the price. It was very reasonable.

Adam and Eve picking and eating the forbidden fruit on a mural on the wall of the pizza place. Can you see the forbidden fruit?

Then our driver gave us a driving tour of Rome.

It was quite a trip and we will never forget it. Thank you for joining us on Mile Markers today.
