The Little Things

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in again. How are things going in your life? It is good to visit with you today.

Recently I was listening to some songs that were popular during my teenage years. There was a lot of fabulous music during that period. I came across a song with a great message. The lyrics of a song caused me to stop and think about my life.

Thankful
The song reminded me to be thankful for everything. Remembered what the Bible says in I Thessalonians 5:18?
"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

My desire is to be in the will of God! I am going to use this moment to be thankful for everything. God has blessed me abundantly. He has answered more prayers than I could ever count. The uncertain time that we have been living in has reminded me to praise my God for everything more than ever.

I have experienced numerous huge miracles in the past. Currently, I have a list of miracles that I am praying to see. I believe that He is well able to answer all of my prayers! I look forward to testifying about more miracles.

The Little Things
Here is a small list of little things that I am thinking of today. I normally would have taken these things for granted, but now I realize that they are special blessings. I know these items are not required for life, but these are privileges that make life much easier. I am thanking God for these things.
  1. My comfortable house.
  2. Attending church services.
  3. The ability to hug my family and friends.
  4. Water and electricity always available.
  5. Heating and air-conditioning at the click of a button.
  6. Food to eat and grocery delivery services.
  7. Toilet paper, disinfectant products and hand sanitizer.
  8. My wheelchairs that help me get around.
  9. Truck Drivers that keep our country supplied.
  10. The people that look out for our health.
  11. Technology that helps us stay informed and connected.
  12. Safety, health and freedom.
I will give you the lyrics that inspired me to think about the little things. Click here to listen to the song on YouTube. The song is titled The Little Things. It was recorded by Chosen Few and Brian Arnold wrote the song.

The Little Things

Verse 1
I used to pray God would part the sea
That He would be there standing looking back at me
There would be a sign a miracle or two
And I would know exactly what He wanted me to do
That's how I would pray
Until the day
I looked at the sun shining in the sky
I heard the birds He sent to sing a lullaby
I felt a breeze blow across my face
Then I realized that every day I know His grace
Lord I stand amazed I'm amazed

Chorus
It's the little things that I can't live without
It's more than just miracles God is all about
It's the little things that hold my life together
I don't need a parting sea
And every day I wake up I ask God
For more of the little things

Verse 2
Once I sought to see the face of God
I prayed with all my might He'd let me see
Then I saw some children playing so alive and carefree
And I heard God softly whisper that's me
Once I understood I began to see
That with everything God was reaching out to me
In a helping hand or a loving smile
He was showing me that He was right there all the while
With me every mile showing me

Chorus
It's the little things that I can't live without
It's more than just miracles God is all about
It's the little things that hold my life together
I don't need a parting sea
And every day I wake up I ask God
For more of the little things

In closing, Friend, I want to remind you that God is working for you right now. You do not have a need that is too big or small. Are you struggling to believe that God is hearing your prayers? I encourage you to make a list of the little things that He has blessed you with.

Thanks for reading. I hope you have a great weekend.

Odie
