#15 Weekend Woundup and Weview

We had great services all weekend long in El Mirage and Phoenix. Even with rain and below average temperatures the services under the tent were terrific.

Sunday morning we drove 32 miles to Bethel Christian Assembly to preach for Pastor Johnson George and his wife Sis. Binu and their church. They have been very faithful to attend City Reach and I was thrilled when he asked me to minister Sunday morning at his church.

We had a wonderful crowd and great service with Pastor George. I really enjoyed preaching and praying and they received us very well. In fact, they treated us like royalty. It was a great blessing to meet all their people and their guests as well. We look forward to being with again very soon.

We also got to meet Pastor S.M. Daniel. He is visiting from India. He has two grown daughters that live in the Phoenix area and he is visiting them. One of his daughters is interpreting for his testimony in the pictures below. Another daughter was healed in the service Sunday morning.

This is Pastor Daniel's new grandson. He was pretty excited when I prayed for him.

After church we were asked to share in a beautiful Indian meal. It was delicious.

I am so thankful God opened the door for us to sing and preach for Pastor George. He has invited us back and we are very excited about the future possibilities. It is amazing how God leads and guides!

Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe stayed with the tent Sunday through the storms and that enabled me to venture off to preach. That is just one of the many advantages of having Bro. Jimmie with us this year. I did not have to worry about the tent while I was gone at all!

The rain had subsided before church Sunday night but you can see in the pictures taken about 6:30 that there were still storms in the area. We were spared further rain but it was a cool 61 degrees at church time.

We had to put up a partial wall to block the wind and it was not too bad under the tent.

Even with the cool temperatures, we probably had one of the best altar services of the whole meeting. God helped several folks that responded to the preaching. This one service makes the whole effort worthwhile, although we know that is not all the Lord wants to do.

I think we are all looking forward to see what lies ahead!

Bro. Lyons and his family from Minnesota visited one night of City Reach. They are Assembly of God evangelists. It was nice to have them drop in again Sunday night after church.

The neighbor's dog visited the service Sunday night. After church about midnight he even knelt in the altar!

That pretty much wraps up our weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Thanks for reading.

Davy
