From Mississippi to Tennessee Over The Weekend

Today's post will be a pretty quick account of our weekend. I will be pulling the BoggsMobile in the shop in just a few minutes so I need to wrap it up before then.

We had a great day at Forts Lake on Friday. Sis. Ruthie Cauley prepared an awesome meal for lunch Friday including a wonderful pot of shrimp gumbo. It was fabulous as usual. We enjoyed the meal and the visit with friends.

We finished revival Friday night.

It was a wonderful service and it was kind of sad to pull away from our Forts Lake friends. We sure appreciate Pastor Tim Cauley and all of his folks for their kindness and hospitality.

But the road was calling my name as usual. We had loaded the Green Machine in the trailer and disconnected the water and electric before church.

All we had to do after we said our goodbyes was load the sound equipment in the bus and hook up to the trailer. We were pulling out at 10:15.

We drove 110 miles and stopped about 12:05 AM at a rest area along I-65 in Alabama.

Early the next morning we cranked up and prepared to leave. The rest area had a place to empty our holding tanks so we pulled up and took care of that job. Next to the sanitation island was what we call an Attack Sign. We see these all the time. Whoever installs these attack signs must drive cars and pick up trucks and do not think about taller vehicles.

The RV that was attacked by this sign left the rest area with a bad scratch that is for sure!

We drove about 415 miles and pulled into East Tennessee Luxury Coach in Vonore, Tennessee Saturday evening.

We removed the car and dropped the trailer before parking the bus.

Here we are among the other buses.

Sunday morning we drove about one hour and 20 minutes to begin revival at Beechfork Holiness Church.

It is wonderful to be with our dear friends at Beechfork. Pastor Herman Woods and his dear wife Sis. Margaret have been so special to us for many years. We love coming here and love having revival with all of these fine folks. God visited us both services Sunday and Sunday night was really special. We are planning to be here through Wednesday night and we are looking forward to it.

I hope you had a great Sunday too.

Davy
