Weekend Woundup and Weview November 9

What a great weekend it has been! Friday night we had revival service at Grace Fellowship and it was a great service indeed. Folks really responded in the altar and I know my family was encouraged.

It was wonderful to have Pastor Rick Simpson and Sis. Beverly visiting Friday night. We sure love these long time friends.

Saturday afternoon there was a birthday party for three of the church kids. It was right here at the fellowship hall where we are parked and we enjoyed the meal and visiting with the church folks.

Watching the kids try to break the pinata was hilarious!

We had all Saturday evening to ourselves with no traveling to do and we enjoyed it very much. I was working on some bus projects and then correspondence for City Reach and Kelly Jo and Odie were working on a newsletter and perfecting some recipes. It was a very relaxing evening with my girls.

Sunday morning we drove a little over an hour to Mt. Sinai Holiness Tabernacle in Dothan, Alabama. We had a good service with Pastor Dewayne Watson and his family and all the folks. We have been going to Mt. Sinai since Bro. Watson pioneered the church in the fall of 2005.

We were scheduled to preach revival for them this week but with all they have had going on the last few weeks we both decided it would be best to reschedule. Odie wrote about their saga and miracle Saturday.

We enjoyed a nice leisurely lunch with the whole Watson family before heading back to the BoggsMobile in Elba. We appreciate their hospitality and kindness toward our family. May God continue to bless our friends.

We arrived home in time to rest a few minutes and then go to Grace Fellowship refreshed and ready to have church. God touched the service again and they responded great in the altar service. It seems that revival is building each night and I am looking forward to seeing what is going to happen the next two nights.

After service the church presented Pastor Jon Isaacs and all his family with very nice gifts to show their appreciation. Each of them were surprised with their gifts but surprise does not begin to describe Bro. Jon's reaction when they presented him with a brand new Taylor acoustic electric guitar! it is awesome.

Bro. Jon used to play an electric guitar when we were here previously. I asked him early last week why he was not playing it. He told me he sold it and that his dream was to eventually buy a Taylor acoustic electric. Now his dream has come true!

May God bless Bro. Jon, Sis. Heidi and their three beautiful and Godly girls. May God also bless the fine folks at Grace Fellowship for going to great lengths to love on their Pastor and his precious family. I commend them for it!

The rest of the pictures from Sunday night will speak for themselves! They must speak for themselves because I do not know what to say! Haha!

That pretty much wraps up our great weekend! Thanks for tuning in today.

View Out The Front Window November 8, 2015

I started these Sunday View Out The Front Window posts early last year and added the links from the previous week's posts shortly thereafter. Part of the reason we go to the effort to keep up this blog is so that we have a record of where we have been and what we have done. It has really been handy when we needed to know something from years before. We have a searchable record of revivals, bus maintenance, meetups with friends, meals and a hundred other things.

The View Out the Front Window lets us see at a glance what the parking arrangements are like and the pictures may trigger my mind to things I may need to know when pulling in again. The number of page view are similar on Sunday when compared to the rest of the week so evidently others enjoy seeing where we are too.

My question is this. Are the links from the previous week's post helpful at all? I have no way to track their usage and I would like to know if they are being utilized or not. I like having handy links when I read a blog but do you use them? I am curious.

Speaking of those links: Check out our posts from the last week at the links below.

We should be turned around facing the other way but it was raining when we arrived here and we were in a super big hurry. As you can see here, we are facing the building.

We did not take time or effort to turn around so this is the view you get out the front window this week.

This is the view out the front door.

We are planning to drive to Dothan, Alabama this morning for service and lunch with Pastor Dewayne Watson and all his folks at Mt. Sinai Holiness Tabernacle. We are excited about seeing all of them again and having church with them. We should be back here in Elba tonight to have a few more nights of revival at Grace Fellowship.

I hope you have a great Sunday.

A Living Miracle

Odie with Bro. Jonathan Watson

Hey Friends,

This is Odie checking in today from Elba, Alabama. God visited us in a special way in revival. I am so thankful for the privilege to be a child of God. I believe we will be reaping the benefits of this revival for a long time and it is not even over yet!

We share a lot of prayer requests on the blog and many more by texts and phone calls. Thank you for joining us in prayer! Most of you do not even know the individuals involved but when the needs are special to us, they become special to you. Thank you for helping us carry the burdens of the family of God.

Our dear friend Jonathan Watson had a very unexpected health crisis last month. Jonathan collapsed while in a church service on October 9th. He went into cardiac arrest and extensive CPR had to be given. Jonathan went several minutes without a heartbeat and was air lifted to a Dothan, Alabama hospital.

At the beginning the doctors did not give the Watson family much hope that Jonathan would pull through. He spent several days in the critical care unit hanging between life and death. Doctors were baffled by his case and they are still unsure of what caused him to collapse and his heart to stop.

We are praising God that Jonathan has miraculously recovered. A week ago Tuesday he was released from the hospital after two and a half weeks. The Watsons still have many unanswered questions, but one thing they know for certain, we serve an awesome and a mighty God! It is absolutely amazing how God turned the entire situation around for these dear friends.

Wednesday night the Watson family came to the revival at Grace Fellowship in Elba. I was very glad to see the entire family but I wanted to shout when I saw Jonathan. He is a real living miracle and a testimony to the power of God. I want to proclaim once again that God still works miracles in 2015! Thank you, Lord for caring for your people!

Please continue to pray for Jonathan as he gains strength. Keep believing God to work in your impossible needs. I pray He moves for you this weekend.

Speaking of this weekend. We will continue in service here at Grace Fellowship Sunday night through Tuesday night. However, Sunday morning we will be singing and preaching at Mt. Sinai Holiness Tabernacle in Dothan, Alabama. It is going to be a special time for us with the Watson family and all their church.
