The Tent Is Up In Springville, Indiana

The tent is up in Springville, Indiana. Thank God for a good safe day. It was a lot of fun working with the men from Tunnel Hill church again. It was so hot and humid when we put the tent up last year on this same weekend. It was in the 40's or maybe lower 50's when we started this morning. That is much better.

The men started arriving early and had most of the stakes in the ground by 8:00 this morning. Bro. Lakes had rented a hammer drill with a long bit so we pre-drilled the holes for the stakes. An old school used to set on this lot and there were some foundation type rocks under the gravel. There were two places we could not get through but we moved those stakes out a little and they went right in.

Because of the gravel we put down the sheets of plastic that we bought last year. It makes setting up the tent a little tricky but it saves the tent from possibly tearing on the gravel.

It was not long before the tent was up and everything was in place. Thanks to a great crew that knew exactly what to do!

I had not tightened it in the picture above but it is good and tight in the pictures below.

Bro. and Sis. Lakes treated our family to lunch from the local store. I had another pork tenderloin sandwich and some fried mushrooms.

They live within about 100 yards from where we are parked and we are headed to their house now to eat supper. I told you this was going to be a great week! I hope you all have a great Sunday. Thank you for praying for our family.
