View Out The Front Window 6/8/2014

I thought I posted this Sunday morning but just realized it did not go live. Here it is now.

I changed our view out the front window quite a bit this week. We started in Richmond, Indiana, spent a night in Ohio, then four nights in Tennessee and back to Ohio.

View out the front last Sunday morning at a truck stop in Richmond, Indiana

From the front door.

Monday morning backed into my normal spot at Dodds Church. I usually pull in forward but I had parked the trailer into that spot so I could leave it there.

This is the view from the driver's seat inside the shop.

And inside the shop when the bus is up on the lift.

Back at Dodds pulled into the spot like I usually do except the trailer is parked where I normally sit. This is the view from the front window.

The Isaacs at First Baptist in Richmond Indiana

Hey! Happy Saturday!

This is Odie checking in today from Ohio. We have been spending time with family the last few days while Dad is tending to the BoggsMobile. I will try to post a few family pictures next week. I hope your week has been good.

Last Saturday after we had been traveling a couple of hours dad asked me if I wanted to eat lunch at Frisch's with some friends. I quickly said, "Yes." When we made it to Frisch's I was greeted by Sonya and Ben Isaacs. Yes, my day was totally made!!  We had a great lunch catching up with the whole family.

Later in the afternoon we were able to listen to sound check as the Isaacs prepared to sing that night.

The church doors opened at 5:30 PM and the people poured in.  Around 400 people gathered to enjoy some wonderful singing and music. The church was pretty much full in 20 minutes and it did not start until 7:00.

At 7:00 P.M. The Isaacs took the stage. Words can not describe how awesome they sang that night.  From the first notes of "Walk On" to the grand finale of "I Will Praise Him" it was amazing!  There were so many high points in between that I can not write it all for you.

Sonya's boy Ayden James Yeary. He is a smart little guy. He will be 3 on July 25th.

Levi Bowman is Becky's 17 year old son. He graduated in December. He is super talented.

Dad closed the evening in prayer.

Angie Ramsey was one of Mom's childhood friends. It was good to see her and her Aunt Kim.

Jacobi Bowman is Becky's 13 year old daughter. I am always glad to get to see her.

I was so happy to see my family again!  Please keep them in your prayers. They are in the Holy Land right now.

Aunt Lily is a wonderful lady! After many years of waiting, her autobiography is now available. I recommend it!  You can get it from the Isaacs at www.theisaacs.com. It is also on www.amazon.com.

Have a wonderful week.

D-Day - 70 Years Ago Today

70 years ago today the greatest generation landed on the beaches of Normandy taking tremendous casualties and turning the tide in WWII. The amazing sacrifices they made to preserve freedom and end the atrocities of the Germans deserve to be remembered and celebrated.

Thank God for men that were willing to risk it all so save the lives of men and women they would never know. Many of them made the ultimate sacrifice leaving behind parents, wives, girlfriends and children. Today we should pause to remember them and honor them.

Most of us are not old enough to remember these events. Some may not be familiar with any of the facts of this period in history. I encourage you to take some time today to do some reading, look at some pictures and realized the courage and bravery of these men and what it means to us today.

Taking the Tent Down In Springville, Indiana

I appreciate Odie posting for me yesterday. I am staying pretty busy in Tennessee so her post was a big help. Mr. Jeff Rowe and his guys worked on the BoggsMobile all day again Wednesday. They are pretty close to wrapping the work up. They worked until about 6:30 last night and then I pulled the bus outside for the night. They lock the gates when they leave so it very peaceful at night.

Odie told you I went to Knoxville to see Pastor Herman Woods in the hospital Tuesday. I went back up Wednesday. It was good to see Bro. Herman and Sis. Margaret. They said it is amazing how much progress Bro. Herman has made and the Dr. said he should only be in rehab for about another week. Please continue to pray for them. I am believing that Bro. Herman will be able to preach again soon.

When I wrap up here in Tennessee I will write a comprehensive post about the work being done on the BoggsMobile with lots of pictures. Odie had sent in some pictures of the tent coming down last week and I have been meaning to post them. Today seems like a good day to do that.

We ended tent revival in Springville, Indiana last Friday night. We sure enjoyed joining with Pastor Dallas Lakes and the Tunnel Hill Church to reach out to the Springville community. I know that God will honor their efforts.

From the time we said "Amen" until everything was strapped down and ready to ride was only about 50 minutes. That included taking down the PA system, lights and wires, folding the shares, stacking them in the trailer and strapping them down, disassembling the platform and removing it, laying down the big plastic sheets to protect the tent from the gravel parking lot and then folding the plastic back up, taking down the tent and folding it up, removing the stakes, removing and folding the ratchet straps loading the tent, poles, straps in the trailer, loading the PA system in the bus and about 50 other things I have forgotten.

All that in 50 minutes. The Tunnel Hill folks like to work! We also had some visitors that night and they jumped in and helped too. That was very nice.

Odie snapped a few pictures of the tent coming down and the folks working. I will let you see those now. God bless you for reading.
