A Few Pictures From This Week

We have had a super great week in Virginia and we have only shown you a few pictures. Today we rectify that and throw in some color commentary along the way. Get ready for picture overload!

We arrived here Monday afternoon and after recovering from the trip, we ate at Ciro's Italian Eatery and then spent a while on Skyline Drive.

We have posted pictures from the drive and you can see those HERE.

Tuesday we had a full social calendar and we enjoyed driving through some beautiful country. The first drive was easy, about four minutes over the hill into Elkton to El Paso to eat lunch with our dear friend and faithful Mile Marker reader, Bro. Frankie Shiflett.

It was so good to see our friend and visit with him over lunch. Hopefully, we will see him again soon.

Tuesday evening we drove over the mountain and up the valley to Bristow, Virginia. Long time readers know that we have preached in Bristow several times for Pastor Ken Taylor. We hated to be in Virginia and not see him and his family. We also refused not to eat at Tony's NY Pizza.

Tuesday we had a chance to do both and we enjoyed every moment of it. The food was great and the fellowship was even better.

Wednesday I worked on the bus a bit while it was cool in the morning and then spent the day getting ready to preach and resting. Pastor Eddie Deane had invited us to preach at Sandy Bottom that night and we were excited to see our friends there.

Of course, we did make time for some of KJo's homemade tacos for lunch!

The service was great Wednesday and we enjoyed it tremendously, as expected.

Thursday we drove about 20 minutes into Harrisonburg so that KJo could pick up a few groceries. Why did I make the grocery trip? For moral support, of course! And an early lunch at Wood Grill!

Thursday night we walked across the parking lot to be in service with our friends at Bible Holiness Church. Pastor Brent Gabbard had asked me to be ready to preach and I tried to be prepared. I am not sure about the quality of the preaching, but we really enjoyed the service.

Pastor Gabbard and his folks have been so good to us. We love being here with them.

We are praising God for a wonderful week! Thank you for spending a few minutes with us.

Davy
