Homecoming Revival in Pictures - Haines City , Florida

Today was a great day in Haines City, Florida. The weather was absolutely perfect, the services were great and the Homecoming meal was outstanding. It does not get much better than that. It is so good to be back with Pastor Chris Whiffen and his family and the Lighthouse of Holiness Church.

I am sure I will have more to say later in the week but now it is late and I am feeling the effects of the of the whole weekend. My pillow is calling my name. I will allow the pictures to tell the rest of the story. Many of you will recognize some of the faces below because not everyone pictured is from Florida.

God bless you all.

Travel Night and Day

We arrived safely in Haines City, Florida Saturday about 3:30 in the afternoon. It is so nice to be with Bro. Whiffen and his family this week. We are expecting great services and for souls to be saved.

We picked up the BoggsMobile Friday night at 7:30 and then drove back to Beams of Light Church. We hooked up to the tent trailer, turned it around and then loaded the Green Machine in the trailer. Pastor Philip Deane helped us carry all of our stuff from the evangelist quarters to the bus and we pulled out from the church about 9:10 PM.

Thankfully there was very little traffic after we passed Pensacola and the drive Friday night was very smooth. We detoured to Dothan and dropped the trailer at Mt. Sinai Holiness Tabernacle by about 12:30 AM. Then we backtracked to the Flying J on the south side of Dothan and parked for the night by 1:10. It felt good to climb into bed. We are so glad to be moved back into our little home.

I wanted to make it to Haines City before dark Saturday so I rolled out early to get ready to roll. I hooked the Green Machine to the BoggsMobile, filled up with diesel and headed south. It was another good day to drive and we made real good time on the way to Haines City. The BoggsMobile loves to run and run it did today.

We are parked in an RV Park a few miles from town and 10-15 minutes from the church. It is mostly snowbirds and we have already been invited to a potluck dinner. I told them they did not know what they were asking for when they gave me an invitation to eat. Lol.

We are having Homecoming service tomorrow Lighthouse of Holiness Church and then a big Homecoming meal. It should be a super great day. I hope you have a great Sunday!

Sarah Katherine - A Miracle From God

Note From Odie

While I was in Mississippi last week I was blessed to see a miracle with my own eyes. I even held the miracle in my two little hands. God blessed Bro. Paul and Sis. Tracy from Ellisville with a beautiful little girl, a girl that was impossible for them to have. Praise God for His wonder working power.

Actually this precious baby is just the latest in a long line of miracles for the Sheffield family. They waited many years for a child and three years ago they were blessed with Caleb through the miracle of adoption. Caleb was definitely an answered prayer!!! They grabbed hold of the promises of God by faith and Caleb was the result. You can read a little about their amazing miracle HERE.

Here is Caleb with his parents at about 6 months.

And with my Daddy...

And with his mother at about 18 months.

Thank God for the miracle of Caleb but God was not finished with the Sheffield family. He had huge plans that were full of surprises in store for them. God gave them Caleb and now he has given them a beautiful little girl.

The last week of October Sarah Katherine "Katie" was born. She's just the perfect little angel! We have all been so excited about this baby! I am so glad I was in Mississippi when she made her arrival. When I held her Wednesday I was overwhelmed with the fact that I was holding a miracle from God.  Congratulations to Bro. Paul, Sis. Traci and big brother Caleb on the arrival of Katie.

If you, like me, are waiting for your miracle. Keep trusting and believing God. He may not come when you want Him but He'll be there right on time. He's an on time God. Yes He is!

Beams of Light - Cantonment, Florida

We appreciate the Beams of Light Church and Pastor Philip Deane for being so good to us while we have been here. We have stayed several nights in their evangelist quarters, been treated to several meals, enjoyed their wonderful fellowship and been blessed by worshiping with them. Our trailer has been parked here the whole time as well.

We enjoyed another service with them Wednesday night. We were blessed to see Bro. Eddie Deane and his son Jordon from Virginia too. It was a real treat for our family. We not only had a wonderful service but we laughed before and after until we hurt.

May God bless Pastor Deane and his fine church for all of their kindness and hospitality to us. You have made us feel so very welcome. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

After Odie arrived at church we noticed she had brought a little something extra. I saw it and thought it was a blue jean jacket. It was blue jean for sure but not a jacket. She has brought a blue jean skirt draped over the back of her wheel chair. She had hung it over the back of her chair earlier in the day and completely forgot about it. It was hilarious.

Kelly Jo has been busy preparing today to move back into the BoggsMobile. The work on the bus should be finished Friday morning and we should be on our way within a few hours. We will need to go pick it up, bring it back to the church, hook up to the trailer and get it all turned around in the parking lot.

Then we will load our stuff in the bus and then load the Green Machine in the trailer. When we are finished with all of that we will probably be ready for a long nap! However we have about 550 miles to drive including a small detour to Dothan, Alabama.

There is no sense in taking the tent trailer all the way down to central Florida so we are planning to drop it at Bro. Dewayne Watson's church near Dothan. I had originally planned to drive only the Green Machine to our next revival in Haines City, Florida. But since we have been out of the BoggsMobile for 11 days we are dreading living in a motel for another week.

I will have to make that decision Friday while we drive to Dothan.

Thanks for reading.
