A summery of the two service we attended.
Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference 2010

Friday Morning
Bro Aleaka Holt opened the service. Bro. David Webb greeted the people.
Bro. Danny Taylor Reminded us why we came to PFYC, for the Fire of God to be rekindled in our lives. Higher Ground a group of Boys from the Ozark Bible Institute sang.
The Choir from Jersey Holiness Church in Jersey, Georgia sang. Bro. David Brimm introduced Bro. Brent Gabbard. He preached a challenging yet encouraging sermon on
"The Guide Every Youth Group Needs"
Then the PFYC Ensamble sang.
Bro. Ryan Ralston introduced Bro Lloyd Shuecraft. His message was titled "A Sacrifice Between Hai and Bethel." It encouraged us to not look at the world and all the things the devil offers. But to turn our backs to the enticing world and look the Power of God at Bethel. Then there was a great altar service!

Friday Night.

Bro. David Brimm opened the service with announcements. Then Bro. David Webb prayed over the services and encouraged us to worship. Bro. Brent Markee led a congregational song.
Bro. Ryan Ralston introduced Bro. Tracy Holden to take the offering. During the offering Bro Tracy Boyd reminded us to hold to the promise God. God may not promise a smooth road to travel "But He Did Say" He would be there. Then Sis. Shea and the girls sang The Promise which is a song on their new project that is now available. I'm sure I will have more on their new CD in a few days..
The Choir from Savannah Holy Church of God sang. Many were praying and blessed during the singing.
Bro. David Webb introduced Bro. Douglas Meadow preach. He titled it "The Path That Leads to Pentecost". We had a altar service at the end where the Pentecostal wind blew through the place. It was great!

I need to say a HUGE thank you to my Dad for making it possible to attend one day of the 2010 PFYC!
What is Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference? It is an awesome meeting held every April in Louisville, Kentucky. Friday night there were around 4,000 People in South Wing of Kentucky Fair & Expo Center. It was a sea of people from many places in the USA. There were people from coast to coast.
Why did all those folks come to Louisville, Kentucky just for a youth conference? To hear Holiness preaching, to fellowship holiness young people and to ready our generation to carry on through tough times.
Many say young people don't want Holiness. If you believe that opinion then you need to attend PFYC! You will see young people responding by thousands to holiness preaching.
Now it is late Saturday night and we are in Thomasville, Georgia. Revival begins in the morning with Homecoming. We are anticipating a great week here at New Hope Holiness Church. We already had good fellowship with Pastor Tony Walker and Family tonight!
Dad thanks again for a wonderful weekend. I pray God blesses you with extra strength because you drove the extra miles for me to be at Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference 2010! I love you!!!!!!!

When Your Box Falls Apart

Our home on wheels has two doors. The front door has storage compartments. You can get in that way but it would be quite a climb. There is no inside handle on the front door. The entrance door is about midway back. It may help to know this.

We came back to the BoggsMobile after lunch a couple of weeks ago and the door wouldn't open. The bolt lock was unlocked and the latch pulled but the door would not open. I lifted Kelly Jo up into the front door and she tried the latch from inside and it wouldn't open. Something was broke inside the door and you can't take it apart from inside the bus.

If the latch had broken while we were all inside we would have been stuck! Kelly Jo would have been going out the window. I was able to take the latch apart from the outside and get the door open. I did not have time to take the door completely apart and I knew I could not buy that latch at WalMart or Lowe's anyway. I decided it was better to wait until I went to Nashville.

We arrived at Prevost in Nashville this afternoon and I took off the inside of the door. The latch was busted and Prevost had one in stock so I closed my eyes and bought it. I am so mechanically UNinclined it is not funny but I had it tore apart, so my options were few. I waded in to see if it could be done.

While I was working I needed a tool that I thought was inside the bus. I was looking for the tool and picked up a cardboard box we keep in a drawer that has a little bit of everything. The box fell apart in my hands and all the contents went to the floor. Wire nuts, staples, tape, screws, washers, screwdrivers, pliers, tape measure, hammer, rope, flashlights wire ties and on and on and on.

You get the idea? All of it went to the floor. All over the floor! It was a mess! I found what I needed and began to install the new latch.

To complete the job I had to put on a very small nut on a hard to reach place and I had no tool to tighten it. I could not get it on. Just as I was about to give up, I remembered something I saw in the junk I had dropped all over the floor.

It was a very small crescent wrench a good brother gave me years ago as part of an object lesson. I forgot the object lesson long ago and had no idea where the wrench was until the box fell apart in my hands and the contents spilled all over the floor.

You can see how small it is when compared to a small set of finger nail clippers.

The small little wrench was the perfect tool for the task at hand. I could not have finished the job the little wrench. And that means I could not have finished the job without the box falling apart and everything scattering all over the floor.

So, the next time you feel like crying or quitting when things fall apart, stop. Look closely at the pieces scattered about. You may find that the very thing you need is waiting there for you among the scrambled contents of that broken box!

Broken boxes, jumbled contents and inconvenient messes may be the very thing you need to solve your pressing problem.

By the way, I did get the door fixed!

Resurrection Sunday!

We are near Jacksonville, Alabama with Pastor Roger Boyd and the
folks at Charlie Penny Rd. Holiness Church. We started Saturday night
and we will be here through Tuesday night.

Sunday services have been great. We are praising God for a risen
Saviour! He certainly visited us in a very special way today. Hope you
all had a great day.

Bro. Dexter Worrell

Bro. Dexter Worrell is our friend and encourager. What an
encourager he is! When we are near home Bro. Dexter is always there
cheering us on with a kind word and usually an offering for Odie.

The last few years he has called me on the phone periodically and
each phone call is a great boost to our morale and spirit. Bro.
Dexter is a praying man and often gives me a helpful word the Lord
gave him in prayer that day. He sometimes tells me of a revival he was
involved in and how many folks were saved or one of the many trials
the Lord has helped him through.

Bro. Dexter is one of many encouragers and friends that God has
placed in our lives. There is no telling how many difficulties we have
overcome, how many dangers we have been spared and how many souls we
have ministered to because of the prayers and kindness of men like
Bro. Dexter Worrell.

I am thinking about Bro. Dexter today because he called this
morning. He asked about revivals, souls being saved, how much I have
been praying, if Kelly Jo was still pretty, about Odie's health and
whether she has found a husband yet. He usually covers these questions
in every phone call. But today he brought up another subject.

He told me his birthday was just around the corner. It is a
special birthday. Special because he will be 85 and because he has
recently cheated death once again. In fact he is not completely well
yet. He told me he would like to receive 85 birthday cards. I would
like to help him reach that goal. We might get him 850!

If you know Bro. Dexter send him a card this week or next. If you
don't know him it wouldn't hurt to send one any way. Kind deeds
motivated by love have a way of coming back around. Wouldn't it be
great to overwhelm him with love on his 85th birthday?

Thank God for friends!

Great Music at White Plains!

We arrived at White Plains church near Conehatta, MS to find they
had completely remodled the sanctuary, foyer and bathrooms. It is
beautiful.

The music and services were beautiful as well. The young folks
have an ensamble orchestra that is awesome. Sis. Tanya Boler plays
piano and works them hard and it is obvious the practice is paying
off. Bro. Ricky (Sis. Tanya's husband) plays along on the tenor sax
and does a great job as well.

Although we were only there for two services we sure enjoyed our
short time there. All the folks there are so very kind to us each time
we see them. We love going.

We packed up quick after church Sunday morning and made a FAST
trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. We had a good start last night and we are
looking for a great revival this week.

Hope all is well in your world.

Pictures of tires?

I can hear you now. "Must not be much going on in the life of the
Boggs family if they are posting pictures of tires!" But I want the
world to know these aren't just any tires. These are brand spanking
new tires on the front of the BoggsMobile! Tires that were purchased
and mounted as a gift to our ministry and what a gift it is! The
lowest estimate I had received for the two tires we needed was $1740 +
tax!

I knew the front tires would need to be replaced soon but I was
hoping to make them last another year. The tread still looked great
but the side walls had stress cracks from age. The cracks had become
noticably worse the last two weeks so we began to make plans to
replace them.

That is when a family that wishes to remain anonymous stepped in
and made the arrangements for us. I didn't even have to move the bus.
The tire dealer came out to the church and put them on in the parking
lot.

We are praising God for His timely provision and we are asking God
to bless the family that allowed God to use them. Would you help us do
that?

Thanks for your prayers for our family. We closed a great revival
in Ellisville last night and we start tomorrow night in Tuscaloosa,
Alabama. We are preaching & singing tonight & tomorrow morning at a
church near Conehatta, Mississippi.

God bless,
Davy

Hello!
It continues to be a great week here in Ellisville, Mississippi. It has warmed up and has been beautiful. Rain is in the forecast for today.
Its hard to believe Thursday is already here. Only two more nights of revival. Each service has been different, but all have been good. It is just proof that God is in control. He knows what needs to happen.
I need to go for now. The day is ahead of me. Who but God knows what is going to happen? I am anxious to find out. Have a wonderful day!!

My Health Care Plan

Wow! When you bring up the topic of President Obama's Health Care Plan you find out pretty quickly where people stand. It is an emotional, hot button topic. Folks either love it or they hate it. I admit, I have very strong feelings about it myself.

I hate to see the government MORE involved in almost anything. I hate to see private industry MORE controlled in almost any situation. I hate to see people deceived into believing that millions more folks will be receiving MORE benefits and it is going to cost billions of dollars LESS. Insurance companies cannot cover every person and every condition and still make a profit and continue in the insurance business. That will leave the government as the only insurer which is probably the whole point any way! The whole mess drives us further down the road toward socialism and the government monitoring or controlling more and more of our personal lives.

I could go on an on about my thoughts, arguments and feelings but that's not my direction for today. I wanted to tell you about my health care plan. Bro. Jerod Burris, a dear pastor friend in California came up with this on Monday while mulling all of this over in his mind. With his permission, I have adopted it as my own. Bro. Jarod's statement is point 2 & 3 below.

Here it is. I'm not going to fret over the government takeover of the health care system. They do not control my health care. They will not affect my health care plan. They cannot fix or destroy my health care plan. It is beyond their control!
1. My Health Care Plan is not and cannot be administered or hijacked by the Government.
2. "My Health Care Plan has ALWAYS accepted pre-existing conditions and...
3. The premium has already been paid!"
Update From Bro. Jarod Burris Wednesday 3/24 11:15 pm
4. My Health Plan gives 24/7 access from anywhere in the world.
5. No deductible or out of pocket expenses.
6. No waiting forever in the waiting area. The Doctor CAN see you right now.
7. My doctor has never had a malpractice case.

Psalm 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

I Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

We are living in uncertain times, friends, but we are going to be victorious! Our faith is not in our President. Our faith is not in our government. Our faith is not in a particular system or ideology. Our Faith is in Christ our Lord! "On Christ the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand. All other ground is sinking sand." (My Hope is Built)

Praise God! May God bless and keep you in His peace!

A Mississippi Monday

Monday was another great day in Ellisville, Mississippi. We had a good visit with Pastor Kenny and Sis. Joan Morris at lunch. Emma Grace came along with Grandmama and Granddaddy. We have lot of fun watching her enjoy her food. She also loves for me to take pictures of her with her food. As soon as we started eating she said "after I eat this I can have ice cream." She had a cone first, but then had to have some in a bowl with chocolate sauce like Bro. Davy. Dad got cold so he put on his vest and zipped it. Emma Grace put her jacket on and zipped it too. It was so funny.

Today was also laundry day. The Laundry Mat is conveniently next to the church. This is one place that I can drive to the laundry mat! Don't worry it's not the Jeep just my power chair. The "Washateria" is old but very clean. The inside had been updated some since last time. It is so nice to go somewhere that is well cared for!

It has been a while since our main picture page has been updated. Dad added 12 new sets of pictures yesterday. Don't forget we love your comments. You can leave comments on the Blog or send us an email through the website.

To top off the day we had a wonderful time at church. God was there from the opening song. We are so privileged to serve an AWESOME God! Thank you Lord for bringing us a mighty long way! We would of never made it without you. I am so glad you are always with us!
Ready for a terrific Tuesday.

Spring??

According to the calendar we are supposed to be having warm weather. Saturday was a beautiful day. Sunday was cold and rainy. At least we weren't shoveling snow like some of our friends. It did flurry a bit today.
Hurry spring please, we are anxiously waiting for you!
The weather did not dampen the start to revival Sunday at First Assembly. In the morning a young lady got saved. The evening service ended with a great response in the altars.
It is such a pleasure to be back with the wonderful folks in Ellisville, Mississippi. I believe this is our fourth revival here. We always have a great time with Pastor Kenny and Sis. Joan Morris. They are such sweet people. Bro. Kenny calls me "Odie Lee". Another of many nicknames. LOL
They served us delicious food in the Fellowship Hall. I have to share a pic of the AWESOME cake. Its "Death By Chocolate". It is definitely to die for! Thanks Sis. Stephanie for making it.
Also Emma Grace was enjoying her chicken. This was one of the pieces she enjoyed. She is so cute. You will probably hear a lot about Emma Grace. She is one of my buddies.
Well Goodnight all.

The Brimms in Pine Prairie

Our great friends from Granite City, Illinois Bro. George & Sis.
Arline Brimm came by Pine Prairie on their way home from Allentown.
They parked next to us Wednesday night and it was great to have them.
It would have been better to keep them a few days but we will take
what we can get. They are really super people.

The third picture is of some of the children singing "Fix it man"
tonight at church. They did a tremendous job on a great old song.

Hope all is well for everybody.

God Made It!

It is amazing what God hath wrought! These pictures were taken by
an orbiting sattelite and they give a beautiful glimpse of the blue
marble we live on. The first one has North America at the center and
the second has India at the center. This earth and all of God's
creation testify of the greatness of our God!

Let me know what you think.

On The Road Again

Sis. Arline Brimm liked the way Mom looked behind wheel of the BoggsMobile. She decided to get in the driver seat for a picture. Bro. George and Sis. Arline Brimm are our dear friends. We always look forward to being with them. Wednesday we made our yearly Allentown visit to Dairy Queen with them. They are a lot of fun to be with. Bro. George is the ice cream king.
We are rolling down the road toward Pine Prairie, Louisiana. This will be my last Blog for a while. Verizon signal does not exist in Pine Prairie. Please say a prayer for me. LOL So understand why I don't respond this week to calls, text, or emails.
One last thing, don't forget to set your clocks FORWARD 1 hour tonight. It is time to spring forward.

Thursday In Review

Two of my little buddies this week.
1. Joy Martin- Joy is # 10, the youngest of Bro. James Martin's family. She is precious. We love their family!
2. Devin Heath- He was posing for me. Devin is a character.
Well I am going to try this again. I had it all typed last night and it would not send. Yesterday Mom and I had to go to the laundry mat. So I Don't have a full review of the morning service.
And I will spare you the laundry mat review. It was horrible! I have heard that Bro. Randall Wilson preached outstanding. I need to get the cd.
We did make it back in time to enjoy the good lunch. I had a great time visiting with friends. Here I'm able to use my power chair so it is easier for me to move around and fellowship.
As for the other two services. Here is what happened.

Well, I am falling asleep while typing. So I am going to call it a day. It's good sleeping weather, the rain is falling on the BoggsMobile.
