Revival In Pictures - Little Rock Assembly

Another revival has flown by and we have enjoyed ourselves so much. These folks have been so kind to us and we really appreciate it. Every service was good and God was blessing and helping.

I am always thrilled and amazed that Pastors keep calling and asking us into their churches to minister to their people. What an awesome privilege to preach the Word of God. It is also a privilege and honor to be entrusted with the responsibility of ministering in another man's pulpit.

It is so easy to tear things up and leave folks in worse shape than we found them when we arrived. I do not want to do that. I want to be a help and encouragement in every church where we sing and preach. I pray that we have been able to do that here in Waynesboro.

Pastor Jason Merritt and his family

Monday night we several Pastor friends attend revival and bring their families. This is the third revival in a row that we have had excellent fellowship from local Pastors. We could get use to that in a hurry. It is always nice when folks take time out of their busy lives to come and visit us in revival. Thank you my brothers. You were a big help to us and to revival.

Davy and Mama Joan. This is one of the sweetest women on the planet and probably most the other planets too.

Pastor Kenny Morris

Pastor Lamar Chapman and Pastor Scott Morris

They have a beautiful church  and grounds here at Little Rock.

The gym and fellowship hall are huge.

I hope you have enjoyed the Revival In Pictures from Little Rock Assembly in Waynesboro, Mississippi. I always appreciate you all taking time to stop in and read a while.

The Difference One Year and 680 Miles Can Make

Wow! What a difference a year and 680 miles can make! I was looking back through posts from last year in January and February and remembering how bone chilling cold it was. It was so cold that hitchhikers were holding up pictures of their thumbs and politicians had their hands in their own pockets. In addition to the cold it was blowing snow and ice nearly every week.

These first two pictures are from January, 2014 in West Plains, Missouri.

That is cold! Some of our pipes were frozen that night and stayed frozen for two or three days.

We were only able to have three services of the seven revival services that were scheduled. There was a silver lining though. No church and terrible driving conditions meant we were invited into the Galiher home for Sis. Brenda Galiher's outstanding cooking on SEVERAL occasions! Absolutely delicious!

I can not post pictures from West Plains without including one from our favorite dog in the world, Hank the Church Dog.

February was not much better. These two pictures are from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma the first week of February.

We were at South Mission with Bro. Leon Rich and his family and this storm blew in right before the very first service of revival.

That is enough of the extreme winter pictures. We fought the bad cold temperatures nearly every day for 6-7 weeks and we were so glad to point the BoggsMobile south near the end of February. RVs are just not built to handle temperatures down near zero and it was a constant struggle to keep things from freezing. Even with diligence we still had frozen water pipes and other systems on several days. With wind chills of -22 things are going to freeze!

That is one reason we did not go back to Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas in January and February this year. We have been there during the winter 12 years in a row and I just needed a break. Thank God for opening revivals in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. Even though it was 32 last night and has been below freezing a few nights, that is not near as bad as 10 degrees and less.

Especially when it is supposed to be near 70 this afternoon. I can handle 70 degrees for at least one winter.

We are having a great revival in Waynesboro, Mississippi. Pastor Jason Merritt and all of his folks are treating us so well and God is blessing too. Tonight is the final night so I should have a Revival In Pictures post tomorrow morning.

Thanks for tuning in.

Allentown Campmeeting and Monday Night Fellowship Meeting

Next month it will be time for Allentown Campmeeting at Semmes, Alabama and we are getting excited about it. We have been attending Allentown for many years and we always enjoy it so much. God has used the meeting to be a blessing to the holiness people and I am sure it will be a blessing this year.

The meeting always begins on the second Tuesday morning in March. The dates this year are March 10-13. There will be three services each day through Friday night. There will be a different scheduled speaker each night and the day services at 10:00 and the youth services at 6:00 will feature visiting preachers.

The preaching is always outstanding at Allentown. It is always great spiritual food for our family. The singing and worship is always great as well and God moves in each altar service.

Pastor Eugene Futral and the folks from the Allentown church work very hard to make the Allentown meeting as good as it can be. They also have a fellowship of local churches that help with the grounds, help prepare meals and work in the services. It is a cooperative effort to put on an excellent meeting.

If you have never been to Allentown, you ought to make plans to attend. Or if you have been there but it has been a while, then it is time to go back. There is something special when we gather together with hundreds of other folks to worship and have church.

As I said, the meeting begins on Tuesday morning. Two of the churches in the fellowship have a fellowship meeting on the Monday night before the actual Allentown meeting starts. There is a Monday night fellowship meeting at Trinity near Pascagoula and Moss Point, Mississippi, with Pastor Russell McDonald.

The second Monday night meeting is at Cedar Creek Holy Church of God in Citronelle where we were about two weeks ago. Our dear friend Bro. Jimmy Millikin is scheduled to preach that Monday night. We are planning to be in attendance that night at Cedar Creek and we are excited about seeing and hearing Bro. Millikin. It is going to be a great night. I know that Pastor Darius Templeton and the church would love to have you.

I hope you will join us at Cedar Creek on Monday night and Allentown if you can.

Thanks for reading.
