#31 Weekend Woundup and Weview

This has been another super great weekend! It started with sleeping in Friday morning after traveling late Thursday night. Most mornings my eyes open at daylight and that is the end of sleep but I was able to hang in there and get some rest Friday morning.

We had other chores to do Friday but we had one pressing task that had been put off for too long. With four City Reach Campaigns plus a revival and travel in quick succession, I had fallen behind on all of our paperwork. We started at noon and I gave up 13 hours later at 1:00 AM. I told you I had fallen behind.

Kelly Jo took a couple of hours away to meet her family for dinner. They brought Odie back to Waynesville.

I hear they had a great meal and the pictures seem to prove it.

Saturday morning I needed about two hours to finish all the paper work and then I was done. I worked in the barn until it was time to meet my whole family for supper at Outback for my mother's 72nd birthday!

The whole family was there and it was good to be together. The bone-in ribeye was tremendous!

Happy Birthday, Mother Dear!

Dad, Mom and Steve came back to the barn for a while and helped me finish up a few things.

I was trying to get to a stopping point because we had big day planned for Sunday. We were up and gone by 6:20 AM with the Green Machine pointed toward Hodgenville, Kentucky. Pastor David Webb had kindly invited us to be in service with them Sunday morning and we were glad to do it. We always seem to have good services there and Sunday morning was no exception. Praise God for His help in the altar service and Praise God for our friends.

After church we had a great meal and fellowship with the Webb's and the Flynn's from Arkansas.

Soon it was time to hit the road so we could make it to Anchor of Hope near Lebanon, Ohio. Pastor Bill Lamb and Pastor E.J. Lamb keep the door wide open for us at Anchor and we appreciated their invitation for Sunday night. They have been so good to us through the years and Sunday night they covered us with goodness again.

We enjoyed the service, the fellowship and the meal with our dear friends.

By the time we rolled into the Lazy OD Ranch we had logged about 425 miles, had super times with super friends and tremendously enjoyed the blessings of the Lord! I tried to tell you at the beginning this had been a super great weekend!

Thanks for reading.

View Out The Front Window July 31, 2016

Check out our posts from the last week at the links below.

We arrived back at the bus very late Thursday night and this has been our view since then out the front window.

I will be looking through the windshield of the Green Machine most of the day today. We are leaving in a few minutes for Hodgenville, Kentucky. We are looking forward to being in service with Pastor David Webb and all the fine folks at Hodgenville Pentecostal Church.

We will come back to Lebanon, Ohio tonight for service with Pastor Bill Lamb at Anchor of Hope. It should be a great day with God's people. I am ready to get started!

Thanks for reading.

Caricature of a Character

Hello my Friends this is Odie checking in today.

Please check out Dad's post from Wednesday if you missed it. We had a City Reach Schedule change and he details that in Wednesday's post. Also the Friday post was a great tribute to our cousin Mike Kramer.

This week I have had fabulous time with the Morgan side of the family. I stayed all week with them in Hillsboro until they finally asked me to please go home! (I hope not!) I have enjoyed spending time with each family member.

I am incredibly blessed with a wonderful family. Miles and time does break our family bond. We do not get to always be with our family so I try to stock up on family time and memories. This week I have collected new memories and laughed until I hurt from our fun times in the past. I love everyone in my family!

My cousin Morgan Evans is now 13 years old. We always have a bundle of fun together. She has always been artistic. I am not artistic at all. When I draw, even my stick people are hideous. I admire Morgan's talent very much.

This Morgan's latest interest is Caricature drawing. I had the honor of being her second subject. Here I am!

Morgan studied a caricature drawing of herself to learn the basics of caricature drawings. I thought she did a great job on mine. I had to share it with you here.

I am now back home in Waynesville. It was wonderful to spend time with my family in Hillsboro. Hope you have a fabulous weekend. Thank you for stopping by and reading!
