Allentown Campmeeting and Monday Night Fellowship Meeting

Next month it will be time for Allentown Campmeeting at Semmes, Alabama and we are getting excited about it. We have been attending Allentown for many years and we always enjoy it so much. God has used the meeting to be a blessing to the holiness people and I am sure it will be a blessing this year.

The meeting always begins on the second Tuesday morning in March. The dates this year are March 10-13. There will be three services each day through Friday night. There will be a different scheduled speaker each night and the day services at 10:00 and the youth services at 6:00 will feature visiting preachers.

The preaching is always outstanding at Allentown. It is always great spiritual food for our family. The singing and worship is always great as well and God moves in each altar service.

Pastor Eugene Futral and the folks from the Allentown church work very hard to make the Allentown meeting as good as it can be. They also have a fellowship of local churches that help with the grounds, help prepare meals and work in the services. It is a cooperative effort to put on an excellent meeting.

If you have never been to Allentown, you ought to make plans to attend. Or if you have been there but it has been a while, then it is time to go back. There is something special when we gather together with hundreds of other folks to worship and have church.

As I said, the meeting begins on Tuesday morning. Two of the churches in the fellowship have a fellowship meeting on the Monday night before the actual Allentown meeting starts. There is a Monday night fellowship meeting at Trinity near Pascagoula and Moss Point, Mississippi, with Pastor Russell McDonald.

The second Monday night meeting is at Cedar Creek Holy Church of God in Citronelle where we were about two weeks ago. Our dear friend Bro. Jimmy Millikin is scheduled to preach that Monday night. We are planning to be in attendance that night at Cedar Creek and we are excited about seeing and hearing Bro. Millikin. It is going to be a great night. I know that Pastor Darius Templeton and the church would love to have you.

I hope you will join us at Cedar Creek on Monday night and Allentown if you can.

Thanks for reading.

Sunday At Little Rock

Sunday we began revival at Little Rock. No, not Little Rock, Arkansas but Little Rock Assembly in Waynesboro, Mississippi. We are thrilled to be back with Pastor Jason Merritt and his folks and we are looking forward to the blessings of the Lord.

We had two good services yesterday and last night was very good in the altar service. Thank God for speaking to his people and working in our lives. His incredible love for people is absolutely amazing. Praise God for His help.

The last time we were here in February 2013 we had floods, storms and tornadoes all over this area. It was really bad. In fact a tornado hit right down the road during church that Sunday night. It was pretty exciting for a few days.

But what we remember most about that revival was sickness. Kelly Jo and I were both sick that week. We were sick when we arrived and still sick when we left. I do not think both of us have been that sick at the same time in nearly 30 years of marriage.

Our part of the revival that year was horrible. We had no voices to sing and I had no voice to preach and we felt like mud. All we could do was squeek and squawk a little. But even though we could not add much with our singing or preaching, the church had revival any way. I remember telling them that they did not need us here. We were just an excuse to have a revival.

I am so glad they gave us another chance and invited us back. We have worked very hard to arrive this year healthy and strong! So far we are doing good. We are expecting more good health and more good services by God's grace.

I hope you had a great Sunday. Here are a few pictures from Little Rock yesterday. Thanks for reading.

View Out The Front Window February 8, 2015

We were parked in the country most of this week and the surrounding area was beautiful. Here is our view at Red Creek Church of God our the front window.

And out the front door.

We moved to Little Rock Assembly Saturday afternoon. It is a whole lot closer to town but is still in the county. Here is our view our the front door at Little Rock.

And out the front window.

Update:

We are starting revival this morning at Little Rock Assembly in Waynesboro, Mississippi by God's grace. We are planning to have services every night through Wednesday night. If you are in this area we would love to have you.

Please pray for the folks in this area. There was a young man in the community that died tragically this week. His family is closely connected to some of the church folks here and they need God to help them.

We still have very little phone service here. Odie may lose her mind before long! I hope you have a great Sunday.
