Sunday Night Under The Tent

We have been posting more than once per day. If you check the blog only once each day you might want to scroll down or look in the sidebar on the left for more posts you might have missed.

We will have many more pictures but I wanted to post a few from Sunday night before I head off to dream land. It was the last night of tent revival and it was a great night.

The weather guessers were forecasting winds at 27 mph and I would say they were pretty close. The wind was flopping the tent pretty bad but the folks did not seem to mind at all.

They were worshipping and praising God tonight and many were blessed in the service. We had good response in the altar including this 79 year old man who was saved.

His wife is a faithful Christian and tonight he joined her in the altar. In fact he was one of the first ones to respond. His salvation was worth every dollar spent and every mile travelled. Praise God.

We are so thankful Bro. Larry and Sis. Rosemary Landress invited us to Chiapas for this tent revival. It has been a pleasure and an honor for us to be here.

Here are a few pictures from Sunday evening.

The tent is about ready to come down.

Sunday Morning In La Linea

Bro. Larry preached this morning in the church in La Linea. He must have been preaching good because I did not understand much of what he said. I could tell the church folks were loving it though. Seriously, I could tell The Lord was helping him and the people.

The Pastor in La Linea is Abel De Los Santos. He and his wife have received us with such great hospitality. We appreciate their kindness so very much. She is a very good singer too!

Bro. Larry and Bro. Jorge had prepared Christmas sacks from Holiness In Mexico. After church they passed them out to the children and young people. There were a lot of smiles. I will post more pictures of that later.

These are the mountains that are near Arriaga. They are beautiful. This is really awesome country.

We have one more night of tent revival in La Linea. We are looking forward to see what God is going to do. Thanks for praying for us.

Saturday Update From Mexico

The first service Friday night went very well. The crowd was very good. Bro. Larry said that some said about 400 people. I was thrilled with the service and the enthusiasm of the folks.

It felt good to be back under the Gospel tent again. I was pretty comfortable preaching with Bro. Larry interpreting and was glad to have that first sermon behind me.

We sang a couple of songs in English and then Kelly Jo sang a song in Spanish that she had been working on. I did not understand a word she said so she must have been doing it right.

Saturday was a great day. The temperature was a little warmer but it was not unbearable. When I think about how cold I will be when I get home next week the heat does not bother me much at all.

Pastor Adan Nataren pastors a church at Via Del Mar. It is not far from Arriaga. Bro. Larry preached an outdoor crusade for them earlier thus year with great results.  Pastor Adan was conducting the baptizing Saturday on the outskirts of town and asked Bro. Larry to help with it. The folks being baptized were converted in that revival.

Praying over the folks that were baptized.

It was down off the road. Thankfully Odie's push wheelchair has four wheel drive.

Saturday night was another great crowd and great service too. I snapped just a few pictures. I am sure that Kelly Jo and Odie took more and I will post more later.
