Revival In Pictures - Wichita, Kansas

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, friends. I am telling you that we have enjoyed the blessings of the Lord five days in a row! Praise the Lord! It has been delightful.

Saturday night and Sunday morning services were as close to a tent revival service that we have had in normal revival in quite a while. God was reaching strongly to people in need and it was a joy to watch it happen and to be part of it. Hallelujah!

I love watching God speak to people and then I love it when they respond to His voice. God will help you when you respond to Him!

This is our 19th year of revival at Bethany Revival Center and we are always thrilled when Pastor John DiZazzo invites us to be with them. Our bond with these folks keeps getting stronger and that is perfectly fine with us.

I hope you are ready for Revival In Pictures today. We have more pictures than you can shake a stick at! Thank you for stopping by.

Thanks to Sis. Dianne for the next two pictures.

View Out The Front Window

Sunday Morning Sanity
People often ask this question. How much diesel does your bus hold? The answer in real numbers is the bus holds 208 gallons of diesel. This always elicits a Wow or similar expression.

I want to tell them that the bus holding 208 gallons would not be a problem at all IF the bus actually held 208 gallons. The real problem is that the bus does not do a very good job of holding any diesel. Otherwise, I would not be adding more every few days.😎

View Out The Front Window
This is our view out the front window of the bus at Bethany Revival Center in Wichita, Kansas.

I hope you have a super great Sunday. Thank you for stopping in.

Odie's 36th Birthday Fun

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in from Wichita, Kansas. We are thrilled to be here this week with Pastors John and Judy DiZazzo and our dear friends a Bethany Revival Center. It is extra special to be here and see Uncle Steve and Aunt Karen! I have really been missing them!

Dad and I both wrote last week that October 14th was the 36th anniversary of my birth. Thank you, Dad, for writing a sweet post on my birthday!  Last Saturday I shared some of my birthday memories. Thank you to several of you that let me know that you enjoyed walking down my memory lane! Click here or here to see those posts.

I am old enough to know that birthdays are just like any other day of the week, but it does feel good to celebrate. My phone was busy all day with calls and messages from family and friends with birthday greetings. I appreciate everyone that took a few minutes out of their lives to let me know they were thinking of me, it really was special!

Today I wanted to share with you a glimpse into my 36th birthday. Some of these pictures have been previously posted and others are new.

Mom made me a wonderful birthday lunch, I had a scrumptious taco bowl.

We will have to fix German Sundaes, my favorite birthday meal, at a later date. I had a sore in my mouth and did not feel like I could eat sauerkraut and enjoy it last week.

Mom also took me to Starbucks so I could get my free birthday reward. Starbucks only allows you to redeem that reward on your birthday. I was excited to get a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino!

Then it was time to prepare for church. That night We had a wonderful start to the fellowship meeting at Bethany Holiness Church! After service my friend, Terry brought me Happy Birthday balloons. We decorated my chair and had a photo opp.

I had to include a couple selfies with great friends that were taken on my birthday.

After service, we were invited to fellowship with some very special friends. I was surprised when I entered their home to find a surprise birthday gathering!

Wow! Thank you, friends! You made me smile.

All of the food was delicious! The birthday cake was almost too beautiful to eat, but it was also tasted extraordinarily good!

The fellowship with friends was amazing! We visited way too late into the next morning! I know my friends sacrificed hours of precious sleep to let me know that I was loved!

My friends spoiled me, treated me like a princess and made me feel special! I do not know for certain who was the mastermind behind the gathering. I do know lots of work and time went into making it a success! Thank you so much to all of my friends involved! The words thank you will never convey my heartfelt gratitude properly!! I love all you very much!

Here are some pictures from the party.

Sis Joy Cummins, my Oklahoma adopted Mother, opened her beautiful home for my birthday celebration. Thanks, Mom, for adopting me and being so kind to me! 😀

I missed getting a picture of Bro. Galen Cummins at the party. This is a picture of Bro. Galen and Sis. Joy later on in the week at church.

Now back to the party. Bro. Chris and Sis. Debra Kite!

River Toliver was our entertainment for the night! He loves to make people laugh!

Bro. Terry and his sweet mother.

One more crazy picture. Terry and I could not get the balloons right. First, we had the saying birthday happy backward. It was hilarious I guess we were slap happy.

There that was my 36th birthday in a nutshell. I felt so loved by my family and friends! I do not expect any special treatment for my birthday! I pray God blesses all of you for loving on me!

Thanks for spending a moment with me today. See you next again next week.

It Has Been Another Great Week 10/22/21

We loved being a part of the annual fellowship meeting at Bethany Holiness Church in Sand Springs for the second year in a row. It was refreshing and reviving for our family and we pray that it was for them as well.

You can see pictures from the meeting HERE.

We were in absolutely no hurry Monday morning. Mondays and Tuesdays are built in rest and travel days for us for the rest of this year. We did not crank the bus until nearly 2:00 PM although I woke up way too early. I could have leisurely cranked the bus, driven to Wichita and parked by 8:00 AM Monday. Ugh!

Even though I did not sleep much, I did rest and I got a lot of work done. Those early morning hours are often productive for me in prayer, devotions and sermon preparation.

The weather was beautiful although the wind was blowing pretty good. Once we turned north on I-35 after about 80 miles the wind did not bother us. We stopped at a Loves to empty the holding tanks and that is the only stop we made.

My brother Steve helped me get unhooked and set up Monday evening and then he and others helped us carry in sound equipment Tuesday evening. We also shared a couple of meals with Steve and Karen Monday and Tuesday.

Revival cranked up Wednesday night and we are enjoying it very much. We are praising God for His help and His strength each night! Praise The Lord. I love revival.

Thursday night was a great night with friends visiting. Pastor Darrel Toliver and Bro. Galen Cummins came Thursday night as well and Bro. Larry and Sis. Rosemary Landress. We enjoyed having them very much. We sure have great friends and we have even more that are supposed to come.

We only have a few pictures from the week, but tune in Monday and we will try to have Revival In Pictures.

Thank you for spending a few minutes with us today.

Time For A Scrub!

The Jeep was in need of some tender care after being pulled a few thousand miles the last several weeks. In that time period, we had washed it by hand a few times and run it through some automatic washes, but it was showing the miles.

The BoggsMobile leaks a little oil and a little oil goes a long way when you are going 65 MPH. Once you add in diesel exhaust, road grime and several hundred miles being pulled behind the bus in the rain, you get the idea.

My brother Steve had plans to take care of that before we ever arrived. He had scheduled the Jeep for cleaning inside and out and good hand wax. He knows a young man that does the cleaning onsite and does a super great job.

The Jeep was not dirty inside, but the young man worked about four hours on the wash, wax and detailing and he really did a great job. Wow! The Jeep really shines!

Thank you, Bubba, for treating the Jeep to a spa day! It was a thoughtful and helpful gift.

Thank you all for stopping in a few minutes today.

A Word For Wednesday Could God dvu You?

It is time for A Word For Wednesday. A Few minutes ago I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel.

A Word for Wednesday for this week is "Could God dvu You?"

"Translator Lee Bramlett was confident that God had left his mark on the Hdi culture somewhere; but though he searched, he could not find it. Where was the footprint of God in the history or daily life of these Cameroonian people? What clue had he planted to let the Hdi know who he is and how he wants to relate to them?"

If you enjoy this, please subscribe, thumbs up the video and share the video with someone.😍

Thank you for spending a few minutes with us today.

Bus Hydration And Inflation

We all need to stay hydrated. You know that, right? Especially in the midst of a pandemic. The last thing you want to do is get dehydrated.

The BoggsMobile needs to stay hydrated too. We keep plenty of diesel going through the tank and engine, but there are several more fluids it needs too.

It has been a while since I have been to the auto parts store and I was shocked at so many sparsely stocked shelves. I had to visit a conglomeration of places to get all that I needed and even then some brands were nowhere to be found.

I needed four gallons of windshield washer fluid, two gallons of oil for the bus engine, two gallons of antifreeze for the bus, two quarts of Dexron transmission fluid for the power steering system of the bus and oil and fuel filters and one gallon of synthetic oil for the generator.

Antifreeze type, Oil brands and viscosity are important to me as well as filter brands, but I will take any brand for windshield washer fluid. One parts guy had received a shipment of the filter I needed that morning, but it had been back-ordered for many days. He only received twelve and I bought three.

Here was my final hall after parts store hopping across town.

I would be ashamed to tell you how much I spent on my shopping trip, but it was twice as much as my first car payment 37 years ago. Ouch!

I wish I could believe the officials and their willing accomplices in the press when they try to spin inflation as a good sign of a healthy economy. We could use a little more hydration and a little less inflation.

Thank you for stopping by today.
