A Word For Wednesday, The Strong Bearing The Infirmities of The Weak

It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. This morning, I am posting A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Romans 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Are there any around us that need help? We are sometimes blessed with strength. We do not have that strength for our own good, but for the good of others. We ought to bear the infirmities of the weak. We ought to help others with the strength we have been given.

Can we find someone to help?

Thank you for stopping in.

A Word For Wednesday, Remembering What I Have Already Heard

It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. This morning, I am posting A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

I need a review of the things I have heard of God. I have heard His Word. I have believed His Word, But, I am prone to let those things slip in times of difficulty.

God, when my heart is overwhelmed, help me to remember what I have already heard!

Thank you for dropping by.

A Word For Wednesday, Are Good Intentions Good Enough?

For some reason, yesterday's post did not publish correctly. We heard from some that read Mile Markers in the morning, that the post was not up. Here it is, just in case you missed it.

You do not want to miss tomorrow's post. It will be a special post celebrating twenty continuous years of evangelism for us!😊

It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. This morning, I am posting A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Last week I talked about Setting Your Course. What about setting goals. Are goals, promises and resolutions enough. Are Good Intentions Good Enough?

Have you set your course? It is never too late to change our course. I am determined to be a better man at the end of 2023. I have set my course with Christ as my guide.

Thank you for spending a few minutes with us today.

A Word For Wednesday, Setting Our Course

It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. This morning, I am posting A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

It is very important to set the right course. Where do you see yourself one year from now? Have you set your course? It has been said that if you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.

It is never too late to change our course. I am determined to be a better man at the end of 2023. I have set my course with Christ as my guide.

Thank you for tuning in today.

The Weekend Dispatch Christmas!

It has been a wonderful weekend. The weather has been and still is very cold, but it has been a wonderful weekend. We will have more pictures later this week, but we will share a few with you today.

The weekend began with a horrible dip in temperatures and a drastic rise in wind speed. At 8:00 Friday morning it was minus 8 degrees with wind chill, feel like temperature of minus 34 degrees.

The wind was whipping snow all day long and it was bad cold. The wind was drifting snow and driving snow into places it had never been. This is inside the sliding door on the side of the barn. That western side was directly in the wind.

Wow again! Nothing has melted since then and may not melt for a couple more days.

We were supposed to leave about 9:30 Saturday morning and celebrate Christmas with Kelly Jo's family in Hillsboro. We had snow drifted over 2 feet deep on Odie's driveway and it had to be removed in order to get the Jeep out of the garage.

There was nothing to do but get to work.

It took us 90 minutes to get enough removed to get the Jeep. We would have had to remove more without 4 wheel drive.

We had a wonderful time with KJo's family Saturday.

The next two pictures are from Sunday. I was trying to show the piles of snow.

We have had much more snowfall in times past, but the drifting was amazing. Several nearby roads were completely unpassable until they were plowed. I am talking about a few feet of snow blown over the road. AND it was so cold!

Thank God for good heat and lots of warm clothes.

Sunday morning we had Christmas service. I hope everyone enjoyed it.

Then we opened Christmas presents at Odie's.

One of the gifts Odie purchased for me is a new phone case. The new phone case came with an owner's manual.

What? An owner's manual for the phone case, but the phone no longer comes with a phone case? Hehe😍

The main event for the day was Christmas with the Boggs family next door at Dodds. We gathered together near 3:00 and spent the rest of the day together.

We will have more pictures as the week goes by. Thank you for stopping in.

Our View Out The Window 12/25/22

We will be having a short Christmas service this morning at 8:00 AM and it will be available to watch any time after that.

This was our view yesterday on our way to the Morgan Christmas.

Sunday Morning Sanity
Please do not get caught up in what the world tries to sell you this Christmas and miss what God wants to give you this Christmas.
The greatest gift is not under the tree. The greatest gift hung on a tree. Pastor Tim Dilena

May God bless you today on Christmas.

A Few Pictures From The Week

We are planning to have a short Christmas service from Odie's house on Christmas morning about 8:00 AM Eastern. We would love for you to join us live or later!

It will be available to watch at any time after that, so please feel free to join later and to share it with others. We will sing a few Christmas songs and I will share a little Christmas homily. It should be fun.

The predicted winter storm arrived a bit earlier than forecast. It was supposed to be here overnight, but as we walked out of church Thursday night, the snow was falling. The temperatures we already in the 20s and the wind was whipping. Brrrr.

It is supposed to be -6 overnight and a high of 3 degrees today. Wow! What a change.

Odie captured a few pictures this week. I will give them to you below, along with some commentary.

My cousin Gerald and his wife, Debbie stopped by with Christmas for us.

My gift was frozen cabbage rolls from the sauerkraut festival in Waynesville the second week of October. That is really planning ahead. I failed to get pictures before I ate them, but suffice it to say I was very pleased with that Christmas present.

Odie had a special afternoon with two cousins, Stephanie and Lisa.

We were scheduled to preach at Anchor of Hope in Lebanon for Pastor EJ Lamb on Wednesday. It is always a joy to be with them and this visit was no exception. We enjoyed singing some Christmas songs and preaching.

Thursday night we were at Dryden Rd, our home church. We were blessed to hear Bro. JR Alexander preach and to get to sing with Sis. Teresa Alexander. They are now Pastoring in Mississippi and we miss getting to see them much when we are home.

As I said, today and tomorrow are going t obe exceptionally cold. We are planning to be out an about with family Saturday, but hopefully, we can stay inside today. We definitely have the heat turned up a little higher. Praise God for electricity and money to pay the bill. There have been times when both were in short supply.😍🙌

Thank you for stopping by today. Stay warm and have a super great Christmas.
