Vintage View Vednesday Buying The Tent

Putting the tent up for the first time this year brought back some great memories. One of those memories was the first time this tent went up when it was new. The Blue and White Gospel tent is the third tent I have used through the years. We ordered it in late 2011.

Bro. Jimmy Millikin used his truck to help me pick up the new tent in Miami, Oklahoma at Miami Missionary Tent Company in February 2012.

The new tent went up for the first time about four weeks later in Citronelle, Alabama. We were working that week with Pastor Gaylon Cunningham and Pastor Darius Templeton and their churches.

I can not tell you how happy I was to get that tent in the air that day. It was the same excitement I felt last Thursday night as the tent was going up in Prattville, Alabama. It has never become "old hat" to me. I love it.

Our Vintage View today is from the tent going up in Citronelle and also a "few" pictures from a night or two that week.

The wind pick up suddenly as we began to raise the center pole. It violently flipped a few people to the ground including Kelly Jo and Pastor Cunningham. We pulled it back down and waited for the gust to pass.

That week in Citronelle is also the first time we used our first set of 200 black chairs and the first time we used the new to us trailer for tent revival. (I am planning to write about a recent update to the tent trailer tomorrow.)

I love these pictures. Thank you for joining us for another Vintage View Vednesday.
