Pod’N Me Take 2

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in from the BoggsMobile. I hope you are doing well this fine Saturday. We are doing great. The Lord gave us a wonderful revival this week in Birch Tree, Missouri. I love watching God's plan unfold.

We are in Paducah, Kentucky today. We are looking forward to being with Pastor Doug Stevens and the people at High Point Pentecostal Church. Revival begins tomorrow morning thru Wednesday night. I anticipate God will meet us in the five services of revival!

Pod'N Me Take 2
My faithful readers may remember me talking about my favorite podcast in past posts. If you are new, allow me to introduce you to Pod'N Me.

Pod'n Me is a weekly podcast full of great Christian humor! A new episode is released every Wednesday. It is available on all the different podcast platforms. I listen here on Apple Podcasts.

Pod'N Me was started by Pastor Devin Birdsong in 2020. He produced several episodes of the podcast with special guest interviews. Those episodes are wonderful!

Bro. Devin still does a monthly interview with a special guest. The interviews are released on the first day of the month. I highly recommend you check out the interview series. The testimonies and topics addressed are outstanding.

Two years ago, the format of the weekly episodes changed. Bro Devin brought on two more members to the podcast crew. The Wednesday Pod'N Meeting was born. Bro. Devin Birdsong is the Poderator and the virtual pastor every Wednesday. Bro. Dustin Wakely is the virtual deacon, and Bro. Brad Cottrell is the virtual song leader for the Pod'N me services.

I have known all of these men and their families for many years. They are wonderful people that love God! They are sold out, 100 percent Christians. I love it when Christians love to have fun!! Bro. Devin, Bro. Dustin and Bro. Brad make a fantastic team.

You never know what will transpire during a virtual church service at Pod'N Me. This is a time to relax and have fun. It blesses many people each week! I love it when I find a fellow member of the podience that enjoys the podcast like I do.

I have been a faithful member of the podience for almost two years. I am always encouraging others to join in on the fun! I love the humor! They have given me the title of Souper Fan. Yes, it is spelled souper, not super. Soup has been a hot topic of debate for a long time.

Last fall, I was invited to be a guest on Pod'N Me! Click here to hear my 2021 interview. We had so much fun recording the show! We made so many memories that day. We are still laughing about them.

This year, Bro. Devin, Bro. Dustin and Bro. Brad invited me to come back to Pod'N Me. It was an honor to be part of the show again. I truly can not tell you how much fun we had recording the episode!

Dad took this picture below right before we started recording. I was too busy during the actual recording to snap any pictures.

Bro. Devin thought he had the bright idea to put me in charge of the episode! This was not his wisest decision.😍 The Souper Fan took charge. We had lots of fun with the whole situation. It definitely could have been a train wreck, but I think it turned out good.

The episode was released on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Click here to find my latest Pod'N Me visit. I hope this is not the least downloaded Pod'N Me episode!

Thanks to Bro. Devin, Bro. Dustin and Bro. Brad, for allowing me to be a member of their team for the day! I had a great time with you all! Thanks for your friendship! Keep up the excellent work at Pod'N Me.

My Pod'N Me Take 2 episode was released this week. Click here to hear it for yourself. I would love to know what you think. Also, send your feedback to Bro. Devin by email. The address is devin@podnme.org. Tell my friends at Pod'n Me that The Souper Fan sent you.

You can also find Pod'N Me information on their website here. Hey, do not forget Christmas is coming. Pod'N Me merchandise would make great gifts. Order yours today on their website.

Thanks for stopping by to visit with me today. I will see you next Saturday.

Pod’N Me Podcast With Friends

Hey Friends,

Welcome to another Saturday post written by Odie. Today the BoggsMobile is located in West Paducah, Kentucky. We are enjoying revival at High Point Pentecostal  Church. It has been good to be here this week with Pastor Doug Stevens.

Pod’N Me Podcast
Previously I have told you about my favorite podcast. It is called Pod’N Me. This podcast is a fantabulous way to brighten a dark day. You can listen to archived episodes of the show too. Many of the episodes I have listened to multiple times. I look forward to a new episode each Wednesday!

If you are not a regular Pod'N Me listener, allow me to briefly introduce you to this podcast. Pastor Devin Birdsong has been hosting the podcast since May 2020. Last fall Bro. Dustin Wakley and Bro. Brad Cottrell became a permanent fixture on the show. These three men make up a terrific podcast team.

Bro. Devin Birdsong is known as the Poderator or the Virtual Pastor in Pod’N Me land. Bro. Devin’s faithful helpers are known as The Deacon and The Song Leader.

Pod’N Me also has an official listener named Hershall. Every show is produced with this listener in mind. Bro. Judd Ingram has now assumed the role of Hershall. He makes regular appearances on the show and Hershall gets a shoutout somewhere in each episode.

Several months ago after I wrote a post featuring Pod’N Me here on the blog, Bro. Devin officially gave me a fun title on the show too. I am known as The Super Fan. I gladly represent my favorite podcast!

The format of the show is set up to resemble a Wednesday church service. There are always many fun things happening during their Wednesday Pod’N Meetings. They also serve up some food for thought too. I always leave the virtual meetings encouraged!

Pod'N Me also releases a special bonus show on the first day of each month. On the bonus episodes, they feature an interview with a guest. I really enjoy getting to hear great testimonies during the interviews. This is a wonderful way to get to know the guest better.

Commercial Break
Pod'N Me is available on several different podcast platforms.  I  listen to it on the Apple Podcast App.  You can find it on Apple hereMore Pod'N Me information can be found here.

The crew at Pod'N Me loves to hear from their listeners! You can leave feedback on Apple reviews.  You can also reach them a by email at devin@podnme.org. Do not forget to tell them that you heard about the show from The Super Fan! Your feedback might possibly be read on the  show during an upcoming episode.

A Visit With Friends
I have something extremely fun to share with you today. Bro. Devin invited me to make a guest appearance on Pod’N Me. I was honored by his amazing invitation! I was thrilled to be the guest for the special November 1st bonus episode.

They decided to take the show on the road  so we could record an episode together. On October 28th Bro  Devin brought his equipment from Purcell, Oklahoma to Moore, Oklahoma. We recorded along with Bro. Dustin and Bro. Brad at the Crosslight Chapel.

We had a great time recording this episode of Pod’N Me! I had a blast and that is an understatement! I am laughing as I tell you about it right now.

I always talk to them when I listen to the show and give them my feedback. Normally nobody really hears what I say, because I am alone while I listen. I was thrilled to actually be part of the conversation live this time!

We had a fabulous time during the interview. They learned a few unknown facts about me from our conversation. Also many of the things that we discussed have become reoccurring topics on the show. I wish you all could have been there.

Thank you, Bro. Devin, for the invitation to be on Pod'N Me! Thank you, Bro. Dustin and Bro. Brad, for allowing me to join in on your fun! I appreciate all of you taking time to record around my schedule and location.

The time we spent recording this show will go down in my favorite memories of 2021!  Keep up the good work at Pod'N Me. I will continue to do my job as The Super Fan to encourage you on the sidelines.

To our readers, I would love to know your opinion of this Pod'N Me episode. Thanks to all of my family and friends that have already listened to the episode and sent me their comments.

Well friends, I appreciate  you stopping by to visit with me today. I am always glad to spend a moment of my Saturday with you. I hope you have a terrific weekend.

Pod’N Me Podcast

Hey Friends,

Welcome to another Saturday post written by Odie. I am glad to be checking in with my friends today. Thanks for stopping by to visit with me.

Today we will be traveling. What do you do to pass the time when you travel?  One of the thing that I do is listen to a good podcast. Do you have a favorite podcast? What media platform do you use to listen to a podcast? I have a new favorite podcast and I wanted to tell you about it today.

Pod’N Me

Bro. Devin Birdsong does a wonderful job as the show’s host. He calls himself The Podarrator. New episodes are released on Wednesdays. Some weeks we get a bonus episode. I get excited each time that I see a new episode notification pop up on my phone.

Bro. Devin is also joined on most weeks by Bro. Dustin Wakley, The Deacon, and Bro. Brad Cottrell, The Song Leader. These weekly meeting of the minds are called Wednesday Pod’N Meeting. Another regular member of the team is their official listener, Hershall. He sometimes makes a podcast appearance. I really have enjoyed all of the meetings! They bless my soul.

Some shows they bring on a special guest. They have discussed a myriad of topics with their guest. The testimonies of the guests have encouraged me. It always uplifting to hear how God has carried others through life!

You never know what will be on the agenda each week. The Bible, music, food, church and family are some of their favorite topics. Soup is another regularly visited topic of discussion. I can definitely tell they have a great time on the podcast.

Pod’N Me brightens my day every time that I tune in. It is a fun show, but they also have spiritual nuggets along the way. I have also found that listening to this podcast is a great way to start my morning. It helps me get awake and smiling.

It is a privilege to call Bro. Devin, Bro. Dustin, Bro. Brad and their families my friends! I can tell you that they are genuinely wonderful people! They love God and having a fun time. Thank you to the Podarrator, Deacon and Song Leader for putting together a 5 star podcast! Keep up the great work!

I encourage you all to give Pod’N Me a listen. Click here to find Pod’N Me. I listen to the podcast on the Apple Podcast app. There you can find the current and all of the previous episodes.

One more thing, I know that they love to hear from listeners. You can email your reviews to Bro. Devin Birdsong. Here is the email address. devin@podnme.org

I will close for now. Have a fabulous weekend. See you all next Saturday.

Birthdays and Podcasts

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in on this Saturday. I hope all of you are having a great summer. Thank you for spending some of your valuable time with me today! I want to tell you about a couple of different topics.

Birthdays
The first thing on my list is birthdays. July is a busy birthday month in our family. There are a couple special people that I want to highlight today.

Aunt Kim
My Mom's sister had her birthday a few days ago. I am so thankful for her. Aunt Kim has always been there for me. We have a close relationship. She has always been my aunt, sister and friend.

Aunt Kim, I love you! Thank you for being a constant in my life. Happy belated birthday!

Kayla
July 21st is the birthday of my cousin Kayla. This year, Kayla is reaching the big 25. I am excited to see what the future holds for her. 25 is a new chapter.

Happy birthday, Kayla Jo! I hope to celebrate your big day with you soon. I love you so much!

Now, my second subject of the day,
Podcast
Back in January, I told you about my favorite podcast Pod'N Me. You can read that post by clicking here. Some of you have let me know that you are faithful listeners too. I am glad that you are enjoying the weekly shows along with me. I look forward to a new episode every Wednesday.

There is also another podcast that I have been enjoying. I thought that you all might like to check it out as well. It is available on different podcast platforms. I listen to this one on Apple or YouTube.

New episodes of the Pentecast Podcast are released on Mondays. I will include a couple links to episodes that I recommend.

CrossLight Ministries Pastors Lendell and Cyndi Birdsong.

The Testimony of Sis. Heather Cuny.

Sis. Cyndi Birdsong introduced me to Pod'N Me and Pentecast Podcast. Thanks, Sis. Cyndi, for the recommendations! I listen to Pod'N Me and Pentecast Podcast each week.

Do you have any other podcast recommendations for me? I listen to a wide variety of podcasts. Music, travel, ministry, life and other podcast are in my library. Some of them I listen to every week and the others I catch up on when the mood strikes me.

Well, that concludes my post for this week. Thank you for reading. I will see you next week.

Family and Friends At Seminole Gospel Sing 2023

Hey Friends,

This is Odie checking in from Ohio. I am glad to be home for a few days. This girl is always glad to come back to my Ohio Beach Cottage. Soon we will be off on our next summer adventure.

Today I am here to give you a brief recap of last Saturday. We had a fantastic day! Last week, I mentioned we would be spending the day with family and friends. Dad also talked about the day in his Weekend Dispatch here on Monday.

Several weeks ago, a friend sent me a picture of a concert flyer. This flyer alerted me that the McNeills and The Isaacs would be singing in Seminole, Oklahoma, on June 17th.

The Seminole Gospel Sing has been going on in August for many years. We attended the huge outdoor multi-day event when we lived in Kansas. We have many great memories from our nights at Seminole listening to music.

This year the singing was moved from August to June. I was happy that it lined up with our visit to Crosslight! I was thrilled to be with the Isaacs again!

Due to the weather forecast, Saturday's concert was moved from an outdoor concert to a church. It was a lot of extra work for the people involved. They had to set up ad tear down all their equipment twice! I know the people doing the work were exhausted!

Moving inside was a wise decision. First Assembly, the new location for the evening, also had air conditioning. That is a feature we all appreciated on that 90-degree day!

It was awesome to see some of our extended family. Bro. Jud, Sis. Amanda, Bryanna and Emma Ingram. We do not often cross paths with them. I enjoyed getting to visit with them!

I can not believe these girls have grown up! They are beautiful and talented! Bryanna recently graduated from high school. Click here to check out Emma's Youtube channel here. Subscribe and tell her Odie sent you. 😀

The MC for Seminole Gospel Sing started the night with a few songs.

The McNeills are a Texas based family group. It is a Mom, Dad, nine children and a son-in-law that travel. Later this summer, a grandson is set to arrive and bring a new dynamic to the group. They are incredibly talented! I enjoyed their performance.

This was my first time to see them live. We had met them previously at an Isaacs concert in Texas. They are also big Isaacs lovers like me. Ben Isaacs has produced projects for them too.

Now It was time for the Isaacs to take the stage.

Greg Ritchie is a fantastic musician! I was blown away, once again, by his ability to bring so much life to a song.

The incredible Isaacs! I love every moment of their concerts!

The one the only awesome Ben Isaacs! I am still his number 1 fan!

Between me and the McNeill family, Ben had a big cheering section!

Becky is a walking miracle! She was hit in a head-on collision in December. She spent months in a wheelchair due to her injuries. Thank God today she can now walk. She still has ways to go to make a full recovery. It is amazing to see how far the Lord has brought her!

I really do not know how she does it, but Becky is singing and playing better than ever!

Levi Bowman did a phenomenal job singing an older Isaacs song made popular by his dad, John Bowman.

Josh Swift is an award-winning dobro player! Dobro is one of my favorite instruments. Josh can make it sing and talk like no other!

His crazy antics crack me up. You never know what he will do next!

All three of Sonya's children were with her in Oklahoma. It is fun when they join the Isaacs on stage!

Evya is 6, Gatlyn is 7 and Ayden is 11! All three of them are excellent singers! I am proud of them!

It is impossible to pick a favorite moment in The Isaacs set! I was speechless, amazed and inspired!

Nobody can sing and play the mandolin like Sonya Isaacs! As a girl, I always pretended that I was Sonya. A girl can dream, right? Part of the dream came true. I am blessed to travel on a bus and sing.  I just sing lower than I wished for, and I can not play the mandolin.😍

I love my Aunt Lily so much! Our visits are always short but sweet!

Becky is my hero and inspiration! She has shown that singing lower can be fun too!

Sonya is my encourager! She knows how to make me smile!

Bro. David Toliver and I always text each other from the Isaacs concerts we attend. This one we got to enjoy together.

Sis. LaJeanna Toliver and Kelly Jo, It was so good to see many friends at Seminole.

This is my beautiful friend Samantha Kite.

Terry is the one who alerted me about this concert. I was surprised to see him that night because he was out of state on vacation. Turns out he came back early just for the concert.

He did not want me to have fun at Seminole without him! Thanks,  Terry, for the extra driving and for cutting your trip a day short. It was so good to have my friend part of these memories with me!

We enjoyed having Pastor Brent Moore enjoy the night with us too! It is exhilarating to share an Isaacs concert experience with a fellow music enthusiast!

Bro. Jud Ingram and I grew up together. Our grandmothers are 1st cousins. We had to have a picture to send home to the Ohio family and friends!

Also, all my fellow Pod'N Me Podcast fans will know this is Hershall and the Souper Fan together. We had to document this moment.

If you are unfamiliar with my favorite podcast, Pod'N Me, click here for more info. Seminole Sing memories from years gone by are often mentioned in the episodes. It was only fitting for some of us Pod'N Me listeners to meet up at Seminole.

Here is another one for my Pod'N Me lovers. This is the Souper Fan, Hershall and the Feedbacker "Talking Terry."

I am so glad we got to attend a night of Seminole Gospel Sing in 2023! 2003 was the last time we attended Seminole Gospel Sing. It was wonderful to see many friends!

We always love a chance to spend time with and hear Isaacs! We love our family! We made more memories that will last a lifetime!

Thanks for reading today. See you next time.

Ohio Pictures from Odie

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in. Today I have many pictures from this visit home. I will give you some commentary so you can understand the pictures.

Some of my friends in Texas bought me an air fryer for my birthday! I was so excited to get home and try it out. Thanks to the Neesmiths family and their church family! I love it!

This is the first time I turned it on. I am enjoying experimenting with it. If you have any favorite air fryer recipes, please send them my way.

Bro. Keith Austin came and mowed my yard the day after I arrived home. Hopefully, this will be the final time it will need to be mowed this year.

The Kids Choir at Dryden Road Pentecostal Church. Sis. Jacqueline Coffman does a fantastic job leading them. At this service, they sang a new song. It was wonderful and God anointed them!

I love our Pastor, Bro. Bennie Sutherland!

My sweet buddy Hadassah Thompson!

This is a Penn Station Philly Cheesesteak special.

My buddy Ben Rose, We had to send a sister a selfie. He used to be so scared to be near me. His Sister and I worked hard to make him my friend. The hard work paid off.

Most of my pictures are from my time spent at church. Church has always played an essential part in our lives. We are incredibly blessed with an awesome church family!

I love to hear "The Lakes Girls" sing, Bethany Hoskins, Sarah Boyd and Rebecca James. They sing with tremendous anointing and talent!

That is an unload from my camera roll the first two weeks I have been home.   I hope you enjoyed seeing my pictures. Thanks for visiting with me.
I look forward to seeing you here again.
