A New BoggsMobile???

Could it be a new BoggsMobile?

You know that nothing is permanent in life, right? There is nothing even close permanent in the life of an evangelist, especially these evangelists!

New and different is a big part of our life. There is a new church every week, new people, new friends, new experiences, new foods, new sights, new songs and new sermons. Well, OK, maybe new songs and sermons is a slight exaggeration. But you get the point. Real life for us is constant change.

It stands to reason that eventually even the BoggsMobile must be replaced. Nothing in this life stays the same forever and the BoggsMobile is no exception.

Thankfully that day is still in the future. We are very comfortable in the bus and hope it is our home on wheels until the Lord comes back for His church! I realize that God could change my plans in a heartbeat and we are willing to roll with that but we are very content with the few constants we have right now.

But since we left the BoggsMobile in Oklahoma we need a place to stay while in Dayton for campmeeting. We could stay with family in Waynesville but it is 30-40 minutes one way and we would be making that round trip twice a day. With all the services, meals and fellowship at campmeeting, 2 1/2 hours each day on the road would seriously cut into our sleep schedule.

We have stayed in motels in the past and that works pretty good but we love to stay on the grounds when possible. We can park the car and enjoy the meeting when we are staying right here. I can get up early for breakfast and Odie can visit with friends any time.

Odie remembered that my Dad had bought this class C motorhome as a project and wondered if we could stay in it. It is a nice older camper and is perfect for this. I drove it up here yesterday after we arrived in Ohio. Dad helped me get it all hooked up ane we spent our first night in it Monday. This will be home the next few days.

Sometimes Odie has some brilliant ideas but do not tell her I said that. On occasion when she voices a great idea I look at her and say, "Odie, that is the stupidest idea I have ever heard!" Then I go straight and implement that "stupid" idea as if it were my own brilliant idea. You should see the huge smile on Odie's face when I tell her that!

Bringing Dad's motorhome up here has to rank as one of Odie's top ideas for stupidity.i knew I was feeding her regular for some reason!

By the way, Dad has this rig looking nice and it is for sale! It really is a nice motorhome. It runs great, has three beds, bathroom, kitchen, a nice awning and everything works. If you want more information, drop me a line and I will put you in touch with my Dad.

We had lunch today at one of our hometown favorites. Mmmmmmmmmm Good!

Campmeeting starts tonight! Yippee!

Travel Day - Sullivan, Missouri to Waynesville, Ohio

We left Sullivan, Missouri very early Monday morning and rushed toward home as fast as our little feet would carry us. 7 hours, 450 miles and about 249 constructions zones later we were pulling into my parent's home in Waynesville, Ohio. I was ready for a nap but there was no time to stop.

I had some preparations to make concerning our place to stay this week (More on that later in the week) and Kelly Jo and Odie took Courtney to reunite with her family and to meet several others from the Morgan clan.

I met up with my parents and we connected with my brother Steve and his daughter at Acapulco. Did you see that one coming? More good, good food! White Castle for lunch and Mexican for supper means I am going to sleep like a baby tonight!

Kelly Jo and Odie ate at Frisch's with her family while I was forced to drink salsa at Acapulco.

We all met back at my Dad and Mom's and visited with my brother Tommy and his family too. It was a great ending to a long travel day.

We are anxious for indoor campmeeting to begin at Dryden Rd. The main speakers are Bro. Shad McDonald and Bro. Dwain Galiher. I am sure that we are going to hear from God this week. It is not too late to make plans to attend these services. Come on out and see us if you can.

We will probably have a regular type post Tuesday evening and the rest of the week will likely be picture posts due to the hectic, full schedule of campmeeting. I know some of you like to see pictures of folks gatherd from around the country and we like to give our millions of readers what they like!

God bless you all.

Travel Day and Church

Great Day of travel and then church with old friends Sunday night in Sullivan, Missouri.

We stopped at Lambert's for Sunday School but I think we walked in during morning worship because everybody had their hands raised!

We are packed in pretty tight in the Green Machine.

We preached tonight for Pastor Ryan Martin and the great folks at Full Gospel Assembly. We love these folks and had a great service! It was so nice to be back in Sullivan.

We plan to finish the trip home on Monday.

Travel Day - Wichita, Kansas to Claremore, Oklahoma

We posted lots of Pictures from revival in Wichita.

We only traveled about 220 miles Saturday from Wichita, Kansas to Claremore, Oklahoma. But all the stops made it seem longer. We stopped to pick up the trailer, twice trying to get fuel, twice trying to find a place to empty the holding tanks and FIVE times at toll gates.

We literally eased out of the parking lot at Bethany. Kelly Jo did a super job getting the BoggsMobile out of a tight spot, even with a great crowd of witnesses. I was too busy swinging my arms and giving directions to take pictures.

The first stop was at New Horizon to hook up to the trailer and load up the Green Machine.

After all the aforementioned stops we unloaded the Green Machine, backed the trailer in and parked the BoggsMobile.

We drove through about a million bugs trying to kill themselves and several thousand seemed successful on the front of the bus.

After the bugs were washed off we had a little Mexican food for supper and came back to get ready to load up in the Green Machine and point toward Ohio.

We hope to leave early in order to be in Sullivan, Missouri to preach Sunday evening. It is supposed to be just a little over 300 miles.

The route goes right by Lambert's so....

Hope you all have a super Sunday.
