Ben Isaacs - Producer of the Year SGMG 2013

This picture from the Isaacs website

It is no secret that we think the world of Ben Isaacs. Ben has been a great encouragement to us for many years. He has walked us through the recording process five times and helped me sort out more sound issues and bus problems than I care to remember. He has offered words of comfort, motivation and inspiration at several critical times. We are thankful for Ben.

He has always taken time for Odie and she has always loved Ben. She probably has more pictures of Ben on her phone and computer than she has of her own Daddy and that's OK with me. Ben is a great guy. He is kind, generous, gentle and a lot of fun. Oh yeah, he is also super talented and great at what he does for a living!

We are not the only ones that think that Ben is super duper talented. He has been nominated several times for Grammys and has won numerous Dove awards for producing. The SGMG, Southern Gospel Music Guild, has chimed in and they think Ben is pretty special too. Earlier this week at the National Quartet Convention the SGMG presented Ben with Producer of the Year Award. Hooray for Ben!

Ben has produced records for everybody. I can not even begin to name them all but the list includes Karen Peck, Charlotte Ritchie, Lynda Randle, Aaron and Amanda Crabb, Wilburn & Wilburn, Gaither Vocal Band, Oak Ridge Boys and many, many more. Not to mention his outstanding work in producing the Isaacs' recordings.

Although I am quite sure the SGMG did not base this award on the work that Ben has done on our albums, we already knew Ben is the very best producer. We could not do what we do without his help and guidance. Yep, 3 out of 3 in our family agree. Ben Isaacs is Producer of the Year!

Click on the LINK to see the presentation and a few pictures from the special event. I think you will see a glimpse of Ben's servants heart in his acceptance speech.

Congratulations, Ben! All three of us are clapping for you. We love you so much!

Chapel Service at OBI and Tent Revival

I appreciate Odie posting the last two days. One day is doing pretty good for Odie so two days is phenomenal! Thanks much, Odie.

Tent revival is going great in Neosho, Missouri. The crowds have been good and the response in the altar services has been wonderful. Thank God for His help each night. Tuesday night a young man received the Holy Ghost and Wednesday night we had several in the altar seeking deliverance from sin. It is a thrill to have such a response.

The tent is set up out at the new church site so we are not really near a neighborhood as we are in most of our tent revivals. That makes it a little different for us but it is generating a lot of excitement to be out there. Bro. Link thought it would be great to have the tent up for the first revival there and he was right. I think the church folks are having a great time and we are too.

We are parked about 2 minutes from Ozark Bible Institute and we were asked to preach the chapel service there Wednesday. It was a combined chapel of the Christian Academy and OBI so there were young folks of all ages. It was a lot of fun to be there and God helped in that service too.

The response in the altar to the preaching was tremendous.

It is always a great privilege to have an opportunity to influence young lives for Christ. It is usually not convenient to preach a chapel service while we are in revival but I always try to do it. It is a blessing to our family to be asked to do it. I love because young people are the easiest people in the world to preach too.

We have two more nights of tent revival here and then we take it all down and head for Mississippi to do it all over again. Thanks for praying for us.

Mr. and Mrs. Seth and Anna Hoover

September 7th 2013, in Joplin Missouri  Seth Hoover and Anna Crafton became husband and wife. Thankfully it worked out that I could attend their joyous occasion.  Thanks to the couple for giving me a front row seat.

Both of them have been my friends for a long time. Anna is one of my adopted sisters. Seth will be a great brother in law. I am very happy for them and pray God blesses them in their new life!

It was a gorgeous sunny day for a rustic inspired outdoor wedding!!!  Everything turned out beautiful!

My camera decided to not cooperate so most of my pics are from Deidre's phone. She did a great job taking pics for me and Callie Crafton.

Anna is the middle daughter of Mike and Denise Crafton. You may remember the oldest daughter, Bethany Bohon was married on February 8th 2013. This is what 2 weddings in 7 months does to a daddy.

The Crafton Famiy

Seth is the second son in the Hoover family. They are from Merced California.

The Hoover Family

Seth and Anna will now live in Ohio. They are working as youth pastors at the Highway of Holiness.

I will let the picture do the rest of the talking.

Visit With The Isaacs

Hey, it Is Odie here today. I had the wonderful privilege to see the Isaacs in concert recently. It was a wonderful day of fellowship with family and great singing.

We were able to visit with them while they setup their equipment. Then we heard a mini concert during sound check. Sonya even had Mom come sing backup on a Why Can't We

Sound check is alway laid back and fun, at least for us. I am sure it is a lot if work for them.

A highlight of the "mini concert," was the song I Want To Be There. It was so beautiful.  I was in tears.

The promoter, Miss Shirley was very nice. She made sure I had a front row seat.

I enjoy going to Isaacs concerts and meeting new friends/Isaacs fans. Taylor sat beside me and we had a great time visiting and waiting for the fun to begin.

The church quickly filled!!  It is obvious the Isaacs are well loved.

Rachel, Jenny, Laura and Kelly came from Wichita, Kansas to be in the concert with me. I'm glad they could join me. I think they all had a wonderful time. Kelly snapped this picture right before the singing started.

When 6:00 PM came around the Isaacs kicked it off with Walk On. The singing was absolutely off the charts amazing!!!
They featured different songs mostly from their Big Sky, Naturally,Why Can't We, and The Living Years projects.

They sang for almost 2 hours and I enjoyed every second of it!!!  The evening ended with an encore song He Ain't Never Done Me Nothing But Good

One highlight of the night was when Cameron Isaacs sang What a Day That Will Be and Levi Bowman sang Walking Down The Road. The musical talent has definitely carried to the next generation.
Sonya's little boy Ayden James Yeary is always a big hit too.

I met a sweet lady named Kristy at the concert. She almost rivals me for the #1 Isaacs fan position. But I'm not giving up my spot!!! LOL. That was her 10th Isaacs concert this year. She found this old album cover on ebay.  Now she has it autographed.

Aunt Lily loves to meet follow Christians who are Jews converted to Christianity. She says they have to win them one Jew at a time. She met this gentlemen that night.

Well it was a wonderful day!!! I am already trying to figure out the next time I get to be with them.
