Weekend Woundup and Weview #30

I thought this was going to be the first weekend in several weeks that we did not leave Ohio. It almost worked out that way but we did make a quick jaunt down to Kentucky Friday. More about that later...

I posted Friday morning about the insulation that Matt and Lysa Howell installed Wednesday and Thursday. I told you then that I would add a few pictures from the attic. These were taken from the current attic entrance.

The vaulted ceiling looks really cool with the spray foam insulation on top but I did not have enough light to get the pictures right.

My Dad said that Odie should be able to cool this house with an ice cube and heat it with a Bic lighter. I hope so! With all LED lighting, that should keep her electric bill down around $25!😉 She may have to purchase a few Bic lighters each month during the winter but I found a 100 count package for $17 on Amazon!😁

Friday afternoon we drove to Danville, Kentucky to preach a youth service for Pastor David Noe and Olde Path Holiness Church. We had great fellowship from other churches and God ordained a wonderful service. It was a fabulous blessing to be with our friends Friday night.

Pastor David Noe surprised us by receiving a special offering for the house we are building for Odie. We were blown away by their kindness and generosity. There were other good things that came from that service. I will let you know more about that as it becomes a reality.

Here are a few pictures from Friday night.

Pastor Lucas Hedgespeth and Pastor David Webb surprised us by coming over to Danville to be in service. They were a wonderful blessing to the service and to us personally.

Pastor David and Sis. Karen Noe have been our dear friends for many years. We love being in their presence every chance we can get. They are precious, Godly people.

My Dad came to help us on the house again Saturday. We are trying to make sure everything is ready for drywall. Saturday we were making sure the spray foam was trimmed in all the right places, insulating around the windows and doors and caulking quite a bit.

Also Bro. David Butler came Saturday and ground some high places in the concrete. Kelly Jo worked most of the day cleaning up all that mess and the mess that Dad and I were making too.

Since we were operating on about four hours of sleep after driving home Friday night, we all took a nap at 4:00! That may have been the best decision I made all day. We finished the day with Kelly Jo cleaning and me mowing grass and making a Home Depot run. It was a full day.

We attended Dryden Rd, our home church, both services Sunday. We did sing but it was wonderful to hear Pastor Gary Lee Sunday morning and Pastor Bennie Sutherland Sunday night!

Bro. Bennie also received a special offering for the house. That brings us close to even and we are very thankful for that.

It is time to get back to work. Thank you for dropping in to sit and read a spell.

View Out The Front Window July 23, 2017

Here are the links to our posts from the last week.

We did not stay overnight in Kentucky Friday so our view has not changed this week. I do have a nice picture to share with you though. This is the new view in the attic of the house we are building for Odie to live in.

We are looking forward to being at our home church this morning. I hope you have a great Sunday.

Flying Trip Home

Hey Friends,

This is Odie checking in from Ohio. We had a wonderful time last night at youth rally in Danville, Kentucky. It was a honor to be with Pastor David Noe and the fine people of Olde Path Holiness Church. We had a wonderful service and it was capped of with a sweet altar service and fabulous fellowship with lots of friends.

Last Saturday I shared pictures from our flying trip to Texas on Friday. You can read that post by clicking here. Today I have some pictures from the return trip.

It was a quick weekend but we had a great visit with family and friends in Sweeny, Texas. The Lord blessed us with three wonderful services. God is so awesome, He always moves right on time. You can see pictures from our visit to Sweeny here.

When we arrived at airport in Houston it was a sunny day and by the time we boarded the plane it was raining. I was so glad to get airborne and Atlanta bound.  Below are the pictures from Houston, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia.

In Atlanta we experienced a flight delay, gate changes and things that make a travel day even longer. Finally we boarded the plane and we were homeward bound. It was dark for this flight, so I struggled to get good pictures. I do enjoy the sights when flying at night. I have included just a few pictures.

It was early Monday morning before my head reached my pillow. I was so glad to be home safely. In just a few hours I received a wake call that was not on my radar. I spent most of Monday so sick. It was not a good day!

Thank God I was home before I got sick. By Monday night I was so tired of crackers, Sprite and Jello. Thankfully it only lasted one day and I was well the rest of the week.

Excluding Monday, my week has been good. More great progress has been made on the house project. It is amazes me to see changes happening right before my eyes click here to see more.

I will close for now. Thank you for to stopping by for a visit. I hope you have a fabulous weekend.
