Flying the Friendly Skies

Hey Friends,

This is Odie reporting in today. This week we had a change of scenery. We are spending the weekend with Pastor Larry Lamb and our friends in Sweeny, Texas. It is great to be here again for a quick visit!

We had a wonderful service tonight. It is great to see people seeking God and God blessing His people. It is a small congregation of folks here but we have outstanding response!

We had to fly in order for this trip to be possible. I love flying and we had wonderful flights yesterday. Thanks to Delta airlines for getting us to our destination safely. I am thankful that yesterday was a smooth travel day!

I am grateful for the Wright Brothers who invented flying. Dayton, Ohio was the home of the Wright brothers. Their invention has enabled us to go many wonderful places. Air travel sure makes long trips a lot easier. I flew for the first time 20 years ago this spring. I was so scared to fly but after one flight, I was hooked. 20 years later, I love flying on trips when the opportunity arises. I have crossed oceans to far away places and have flown many miles across my beloved homeland of America.

I enjoy having a window seat and snapping pictures. We had clear weather yesterday so I took several shots I thought that were worth sharing. Here are the pictures from Dayton, Ohio to Atlanta, Georgia.

I took the pictures below as we were preparing to land in Atlanta. Can you see the other plane?

After a good layover in Atlanta we boarded another plane bound for Texas. A short plane ride later we were in Houston. Here are the pictures from Atlanta, Georgia to Houston, Texas.

Are you tired from the long journey? I was ready for a good long nap. If we had driven from the barn to the church in Sweeny, it would have beren 1146 miles. We will repeat the trip tomorrow night. Keep us in your prayers.  I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

If you missed the house update check out Thursday's post by clicking here. A lot is changing and happening. I am so excited I might burst from happiness. Thank you to my amazing family and friends for working so hard!! You all are incredible!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a blessed weekend.

Odie
