Bibles and Travel Day

Bibles

Bro. Larry Landress came across a good deal on KJV presentation Bibles back in December and I had him order five cases for City Reach. I had already sent him the money and yesterday was my chance to run up to Wynnewood, Oklahoma and get them. It is only about an hour and 15 minutes from Gainesville so it was a nice drive in the morning.

Bro. Larry had the Bibles stored at his Bible warehouse and that was my first visit there. Holiness in Mexico has been involved in distributing Bibles for many years and God has opened doors the last few years to print a good version of the Spanish Bible. They have now been instrumental in the printing and distribution of many thousands of good quality Spanish Bibles in many countries. I first wrote about it HERE.

If you would like more information on the great work God is doing through Bro. and Sis. Landress and Holiness In Mexico, I would be very glad to put you in touch with them. I wholeheartedly endorse their mission work and their desire to make good Bibles available in the Spanish speaking world.

I was back in Gainesville by lunch and Kelly Jo went to the Taqueria for some wonderful tacos! Wow!

I had more work to do in the trailer and in the bays of the BoggsMobile so I busied myself with those tasks most of the afternoon. I finished up a big bus project by completing a few minor details as well. I hope to tell you about that in the future.

Travel Day

Kelly Jo and Odie took the Green Machine to the Ft. Worth area to visit some stores and then I followed after dark. Dallas/Ft. Worth traffic can be a mess and I wanted to avoid it as much as possible. Traffic was still heavy from Gainesville all the way down, but it was much better than it would have been even 45 minutes earlier.

There is construction on I-35 near the Ft. Worth loop but I was able to exit north of there and dodge most of the really bad stuff. I arrived at Victory Tabernacle about 8:45 and Kelly Jo and Odie were there to help me get in and parked.

We glad to be back at Victory for Youth Rally tonight and both services Sunday. We will also be looking at City Reach sites the next two days so we should be busy. Please ask God to guide us. I would appreciate it.

Thanks for reading.

Revival In Pictures - Gainesville, Texas

Wow! What a great revival we have had the last few nights. We have had near 100% participation in the altar every night and God has been meeting with us every time. It was so good that we hated to close out and move on down the road. Praise God for His wonderful help.

Pastor Dennis King, his wife Sis. Judy and all the folks at House of Prayer have been so very good to us this week and that is a continuation of their good treatment for over 13 years. We appreciate our friends here in Gainesville and we are asking God to bless them abundantly for their kindness.

Today is a very busy day so pictures are about all your going to get in this Revival in Pictures post, but of course that is the whole idea. I do hope you enjoy the pictures of the folks from House of Prayer in Gainesville and the friends that came from other churches to be with us.

Thank you for reading.

Gratitude From GoodNews Christian School

By the help of God's people we have been helping Pastor Shobanke with the GoodNews Christian School from the very beginning. When Bro. Shobanke shared his vision (Actually, his wife, who has been in Heaven many years, first had the vision 25 years before) of starting a Christian school, we pledged to help support it financially right from the beginning. Boggs Family Ministries gave an offering right then and we committed to giving the same amount the next three years.

Several more years have passed and we are committed more than ever. It is a tremendous blessing for the young folks in their city to have an opportunity at a good education AND and Godly education. We are very glad to be a small part of it.

Most of our offerings the last three years have went toward supplementing the salaries of Sis. Ruth and Sis. Rebecca as they run the school and to providing a suitcase full of school supplies each year. You can read more about that HERE. When we are there late this year (By God's Grace) I hope to sit down with them and find out what else we can do to come along side them in their work for Christ.

We have been blessed to visit the school and we are always overwhelmed by the kindness of the staff and the love of the children. I really wish we could spend more time with the children and maybe God will allow that in future.

Bro. Shobanke, Sis. Ruth, Sis. Rebecca, the staff and the children have shown their appreciation in various ways through the years and it always brings us to tears. This year they went way over the top and sent us a tremendous care package.

They sent a large package of towels, bags and shirts with the school name on them

Here is the back of the shirts.

We shared some of the gifts with individuals and churches that have purposefully supported the GoodNews Christian School but we also wanted to share their thanks and appreciation with you. God bless you for helping. God bless you for giving. God bless you for praying. Your help and your prayers are making a difference in the lives of children in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, West Africa and only eternity will reveal the depth of that difference.

Thank you and God bless you.
