I Will Set Before You An Opening Door!

It takes about 4-6 months for my fingernails to grow from cuticle to the end. I know this because I have smashed my nails more times than I can count and counted the days until the evidence was gone. That brings me to this picture.

As you can see, the blood damage on my right thumb is almost gone. This is important for one reason. It happened while Dad and KJo and I were framing in the barn door to prepare to remove the sliding doors and install an overhead door.

I smashed it right next to the cuticle the first week of April, the same week I ordered the overhead door. The picture above was on August 16. The nail damage is nearly gone four full months later, the same time the garage door finally arrived and was installed.

That is a very good thing!

I just happened to take some pictures while it was going up.

The 39 year old sliding doors.

Each of these doors is seven feet wide and fourteen feet tall. I will remove the red metal and use it around the new door frame and to cover some windows that I am eliminating in the barn.

The door is insulated, but amazingly light. You can see in the picture below that it needs metal and trim on the outside. I have the old metal and I have trim, but I ran out of time. It is a job for another day.

I purchased the heavy duty opener. It is unusually quiet and smooth operating.

The outside opener.

Of course, we have some remotes too. I am so glad to have this project to this point. Yay!!!

Thank you for spending a few moments with us.

A Word For Wednesday - Update

A Word for Wednesday on YouTube for this week is an update letting you know we are doing well on the road by God's grace. We travelled Monday and Tuesday and we plan to travel today, leaving only about 115 miles to go on Thursday.  Update

The bus is running great and I am well pleased about that. Tuesday evening we began experiencing a few glitches with our generator, ACs and inverters. We are not sure what the root problem is. Our number one bus guy, Jeff Rowe is on the case by phone so hopefully, we will be able to resolve it.

We are depending on generator power for the next 3-4 weeks so this is important. While you are praying for us, talk to God about our bus too if you would. We appreciate it.

Thank you for stopping by.

Dryden Rd Fellowship Meeting and Rolling Miles

Have you seen our pictures from Dryden Rd. Indoor Fellowship meeting? Here are the links if you have not seen them.

It was a super great week. The crowd was down due to COVID, but that was perfectly fine. The number there seemed just right and we felt comfortable. We wore masks when close in with folks, used lots of hand sanitizer and tried to use good sense.

The preaching was excellent and spoke right into our hearts. It was timely, anointed and incredibly on point. Bro. Galiher, the day speaker, Bro. Parks, the night speaker and other visiting preachers were touched of God all week.

Bro. Bennie had us sing for most of the altar services and we enjoyed ministering so much. KJo might protest, but I think she is especially gifted to sing the right song at the right time and context. God certainly used her to sing and minister in music last week. It was a joy to watch and to feel. I am so proud of that little lady.

The music was great all week. It was a wonderful atmosphere each and every service.

Funeral
Sunday evening and Monday morning were dedicated to helping a dear friend at her husband's funeral.

The funeral was for Bro. Herb Marlow. We met Herb and Samantha 8-10 years ago at Desert Cove in El Mirage, Arizona while preaching revival. Herb was from Dayton and we found that we knew a lot of the same people. We made an instant connection and have stayed in touch.

Herb passed away unexpectedly recently at 60 years old. Samantha asked our family to conduct the funeral and we were glad to do so. Jesus said He was sent to bind up the brokenhearted and I sure would like to be like Christ!

I think the Lord helped us and I believe He helped Herb's family as well. Praise God for His guidance and strength.

We are careful and respectful about taking pictures at funerals, but Odie took this one at the cemetery and I think it is fine.

Rolling Miles
Today is a special day for us. After 203 days, we are back on the road as a family in the BoggsMobile on our way to revival. We were up early at Dryden getting the bus ready to roll.

We drove 16 miles to a Walmart in North Dayton and then drove the car a few miles to the funeral. We sang and preached the funeral, ministered at the committal service at the cemetery and then hooked up the Jeep and hit the road about 1:00 PM.

We drove to a rest area on I-71 in northern Ohio for a total of 172 miles Monday. I have rested and walked and walked some more. I am trying to do everything in my power to prevent the drastic fatigue I have experienced when trying to travel the last few months in the car.

I am believing God to help us, strengthen us and guide us each and every step of the way. The bus ran great today and praying it continues! Will you pray for us? We sure would appreciate it.

We hope to drive 2-300 miles each day and arrive in Lowell, Vermont Thursday evening or Friday morning. The meeting begins Friday night.

We may not have any cell service or cell based WIFI in Lowell. IF you do not hear from us, you will know why.

Thank you for stopping in.

Weekend Write Up 8/23/21

It has been an action packed weekend. I will not get around to telling you half the story, but here is a glimpse!

If I remember correctly, the weekend does not normally include the Monday before. However, we ended up with a few Monday pictures that did not fit into the camp meeting picture posts, so here they are today.

Now we skip to supper on Friday! Taco Friday!

We had planned to leave for Vermont Saturday and leisurely make our way northeast. That did not happen and here is why.

I had been asked to preach a funeral and it was hoped that the funeral could be scheduled last week. The funeral home could not have the funeral until Monday morning so we decided to stay over. I will tell you more about that later in the week.

Since we were not leaving Saturday, Bro. Bennie asked me to preach at Dryden Rd. Sunday morning. There was no sense moving the bus so we kept the BoggsMobile parked at the church Saturday.

Bro. Seth Cowart, an evangelist parked right next to me washed the bus for me Saturday. I could not make him quit, so I grabbed the hose and did some of the spraying and washed the wheels.

I did not get a picture of him washing, but here is one of his little girl helping!

This is Bro. Seth later in the day.

Kelly Jo worked so hard all week long and I told her I owed her a special treat. That spoke Longhorn Steakhouse right down into her spirit! That sounded terrific for me!

It tasted as terrific as it sounded!

The Lord helped us during the service. We enjoyed it very much. I am very thankful for the good altar service.

Sunday afternoon and evening was spent at the visitation for the funeral I am preaching today. Later, I went to the bus to work on funeral sermon preparation and the girls met KJo's parents for a meal and quick visit.

That wraps up our weekend. We hope to be a few miles toward Vermont by the end of the day. Pray for us.

Thank you for stopping by.
