God Made It!

It is amazing what God hath wrought! These pictures were taken by
an orbiting sattelite and they give a beautiful glimpse of the blue
marble we live on. The first one has North America at the center and
the second has India at the center. This earth and all of God's
creation testify of the greatness of our God!

Let me know what you think.

On The Road Again

Sis. Arline Brimm liked the way Mom looked behind wheel of the BoggsMobile. She decided to get in the driver seat for a picture. Bro. George and Sis. Arline Brimm are our dear friends. We always look forward to being with them. Wednesday we made our yearly Allentown visit to Dairy Queen with them. They are a lot of fun to be with. Bro. George is the ice cream king.
We are rolling down the road toward Pine Prairie, Louisiana. This will be my last Blog for a while. Verizon signal does not exist in Pine Prairie. Please say a prayer for me. LOL So understand why I don't respond this week to calls, text, or emails.
One last thing, don't forget to set your clocks FORWARD 1 hour tonight. It is time to spring forward.

Thursday In Review

Two of my little buddies this week.
1. Joy Martin- Joy is # 10, the youngest of Bro. James Martin's family. She is precious. We love their family!
2. Devin Heath- He was posing for me. Devin is a character.
Well I am going to try this again. I had it all typed last night and it would not send. Yesterday Mom and I had to go to the laundry mat. So I Don't have a full review of the morning service.
And I will spare you the laundry mat review. It was horrible! I have heard that Bro. Randall Wilson preached outstanding. I need to get the cd.
We did make it back in time to enjoy the good lunch. I had a great time visiting with friends. Here I'm able to use my power chair so it is easier for me to move around and fellowship.
As for the other two services. Here is what happened.
Thursday Youth Service

Bro. Aleaka Holt- "A Last Day Surge"

Bro. Stacy Holden-" God's Visitation"

Thursday Night

Bro. Kevin Lloyd- "Mayday At Midday"

God visited us in the services. And so far Friday has been great too. I'll tell about that later.

Well, I am falling asleep while typing. So I am going to call it a day. It's good sleeping weather, the rain is falling on the BoggsMobile.

Pray for Christians in Nigeria

News out of Nigeria the last few days is not good. It seems over 500 Christians, mostly women and children were killed by Muslim gangs over the weekend. The killing took place in the villages around Jos which is toward the northern part of Nigeria.

Please pray for the people of Nigeria. Bro. Shobanke and the folks we have visited in Nigeria are more toward the south but there are many Christians and missionaries in that area who's lives are in danger. In addition violence like this can reach a flashpoint and spread quickly. They need God to help.

I have posted the link and the story below. The details are a bit graphic so please consider that before reading.

Davy

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/africa/article7054630.ece

Dozens of bodies lined the dusty streets of three Christian villages in northern Nigeria yesterday. Other victims of Sunday morning's Muslim rampage were jammed into a local morgue, the limbs of slaughtered children tangled in a grotesque mess.

One toddler appeared fixed in the protective but hopeless embrace of an older child, possibly his brother. Another had been scalped. Most had severed hands and feet.

Officials estimate that 500 people were massacred in night-time raids by Muslim gangs near Jos, the city that bestrides Nigeria's Christian-Muslim fault line.

Local journalists and civil rights organisations who toured the area yesterday told The Timesthey had counted at least 200 victims shot and hacked to death in apparent revenge for sectarian violence in January that claimed about 300 lives from the two communities. Mark Lipdo, a co-ordinator for the Stefanos Foundation, a Christian aid group, confirmed at least 93 dead in one village. "But there are corpses charred beyond recognition," he said.

Survivors claimed that Muslim inhabitants of the targeted villages of Zot, Dogo Nahawa and Rastat had received telephone calls two days before the attack telling them to leave the area.

Witnesses said gangs waited at main entry points to the villages while others went from house to house, setting the homes on fire.

Those who fled were killed at the exit points. Others were slaughtered after being caught in animal traps and nets as they ran in the dark.

Ben Kwashi, Anglican Archbishop of Jos, said he visited one of three villages engulfed by the violence. "I could see kids from age zero to teenagers, all butchered from the back, macheted in their necks, their heads. Deep cuts in the mouths of babies. The stench. People wailing and crying," he said.

Nigeria's Acting President Goodluck Jonathan, a southerner, ordered troops into the riot-affected area "to confront and defeat these roving bands of killers", he said in a statement. Last night he sacked Sarki Mukhtar, the national security adviser, a powerful figure in the inner circle of the ailing President, Umaru Yar'Adua.

Villagers said army assistance came too late. Christian youths accused the military of complicity in the killings.

Survivors told The Times that entire families were killed, some to the chants of Allahu Akbar — God is Greatest. They said villagers awoke to shouting and gunfire at about 3am on Sunday.

"They then set homes on fire and attacked men, women and children. Many were decapitated," said Theresa Malinowska, press officer for Christian Solidarity Worldwide. Staff counted the bodies of four babies and 28 children under 5 in one location alone.

Jos is the regional capital of Plateau State, where Christians from Nigeria's south and Muslims from the north compete over the fertile farmland. The area has often been a flashpoint. In rioting in September 2001 1,000 people died and Muslim-Christian battles killed up to 700 people in 2004.

Jos has been under a dusk-until-dawn curfew since January's violence. Archbishop Kwashi said he believed a significant organisation was behind the killings because they happened during curfew, with the army in the area.

"I think it is all Christians killed. The Muslims, I heard, had left the village. The kind of co-operation that came into play — that could violate a curfew, that could take the law into their own hand. I worry which village, which town, will be next," he said.

The Boiling Pot

One of our favorite places to eat in Mobile, AL is the Boiling
Pot. After we made the short drive from the Millry area and finished
setting up, that is where we headed. We saw all the Grove family as
soon as we walked in. The funny thing is that this makes the 2nd or
3rd time we have run into them at The Boiling Pot the last few years.
We had a good laugh over that.

But the real reason we we come is the great food. We love the
shrimp Poboys and they pile on the shrimp! Kelly Jo tried the steamed
shrimp this time and it was good too.

Wish you all were here to enjoy!

Today is Family & Friends Day at Sand Ridge Church near Millry,
Alabama. We are thrilled to be here and be a part of it. Pastor
Ronald Hobby was so kind to invite us and his folks embraced us
warmly. It was great to see so many friends from years gone by and to
meet folks from the community.

Bro. Addis is a great soldier of the cross that blazed the trail
for us evangelists for over 40 years. It was so good to be in service
with him today.

Deer Gravy & Gumbo!

Food in Richton, MS.

Wow! We have been eating good in Richton, MS. Sis. Kim Morris is one of Kelly Jo's favorite cooks and she sure can lay out a meal. Several ladies from the church chipped in all week and the result has been tremendous. The Deer gravy picture is from a few nights ago and it was wonderful. One of the sisters in the church made that. The Shrimp and Sausage Gumbo Picture is from tonight (Friday) and it was sooooooo good! You did great on that one Sis. Kim! Wish you all were here to enjoy the good food with us.

God bless. Davy

Richton, MS

We have had three services at Richton so far this year and all three have been powerful.  Sunday morning and Sunday Night the response at the altar was tremendous.  Last night (Monday) the power went out just after folks had responded to the altar call and stayed out until after church was over.  We still had a great altar call with the Lord meeting folks right on time.  After church a young lady told the Pastor she had asked Christ into her heart and that she was now saved.  She said she couldn't wait to get to school and tell all her friends.  Praise God for that!  We are looking forward to some more great services this week.  We will try to get some pictures of the folks and food up tonight or tomorrow.

We made the trip from Purcell, OK Friday night and Saturday with no problems.  It was about 700 miles.  Saturday night was a different story though.  I went to bed early and woke up about 20 minutes later with the worse pain I've ever had.  It was in my lower left side and kept me rolling, praying and screaming for nearly 7 hours.  Long story short the Lord helped and I was able to rest some and preach both services Sunday.  Kelly Jo and Odie contacted several folks during the night and I sure appreciate their prayers.  The predominant opinion seems to be that I probably had a kidney stone.  Now this comes from all of us folks that received our medical license from a box of Corn Flakes so only God really knows.  But whatever it was, if I never get another one it will be too soon for me!  I do seriously praise God for His help.  I know He was near us all night long.

Thanks for keeping us in your prayers.

Davy

Changed Locations

Revival ended Friday night at New Mission Holiness Church. We had a great week with Pastor Steve Moore. The week just flew by too quick. Thanks to all the kind church folks for making us feel at home. Your friendship means a lot!
Again this week we were blessed to see so many friends from other churches. I can't even began to name them all. Thank you for taking time from your busy schedules to support revival!
The BoggsMobile pulled out of Purcell, Oklahoma Friday night. We've been in Oklahoma for a while and it was time for us to head to Mississippi.
Dad made over 200 of the 700 mile trip that night. Then he finished it up Saturday. He was glad when we pulled into 1st Assembly in Richton, Mississippi. Thank you Dad for working hard driving us! He did a great job. We were on horribly bumpy roads Saturday. But thanks to Dad we made it safe.
We are looking forward to the week ahead. We will be here at 1st Assembly with Pastor Scott Morris.

Sunday Morning

Hello!
We started revival this morning at New Mission Holiness Church. It is great to see our many friends here in Purcell, Oklahoma. We always get sweet notes from some of the kids here. here are pics of the note I got today from Luke. I love how he did my name.
There are several kids here. I will try to get pics of the them, they are all so cute.
After church we headed to Bravo for some good Mexican food. To quote Pastor Steve More "That was a pretty good little snack." Now I'm ready for my Sunday afternoon nap. So goodnight y'all! LOL

Friday Night At South Mission

Lots more friends at South Mission Friday night. A bunch of folks
from the House of Prayer and the Fellers, the Whites, the Tolivers and
many more. We love seeing every one and had a great service.

Top pic is a bunch of us eating after church, the next two pics
are Bro. Fellers, Bro. Toliver and Bro. Rich.

Everybody loves to put my suit coat on but in the last picture
everybody puts it on at the same time! These clowns are the pastor's
sons Derrick and Dillon Rich.

It's A Record!

Well folks, it is official. This is the biggest hamburger I have
ever eaten. Yes, even bigger than a "Double Big Daddy" from Ron's.
It's not as big around as the Double Big Daddy but it has over twice
the meat by volume and it is just as tasty. I don't know if they have
a name for it but if you ask them for the hamburger Davy Boggs ate
they will know what you are talking about.

This great burger came from Spanky's in Broken Arrow. Kelly Jo
and I went back on Friday and this was the wonderful result. If you
get a chance to go you need to do it. It is owned by Learon and
Heather Kellogg from the South Mission church and I am sure they would
appreciate the business.

God bless

Visitors at South Mission

We have had lots of visitors again this week at South Mission in Broken Arrow. It has been great to be in this area and see so many friends and have the opportunity to worship with them. The hardest part is remembering to take pictures while having all this fun! We did get a picture of Bro. Marty Millikin playing the piano after church while Kelly Jo and others look on. Then a picture of Pastor Darrell Brewer, Davy and Bro. Kevin Webster. The Third Picture is Bro. Wright, Pastor Rich, Davy, Bro. Webster, Bro. Trevor and Pastor Brewer.

It sure is great to have all these friends and many more join us in revival. They have been an asset in each service and the fellowship has been tremendous. Thank God for friends.
