Hey Friends,
Welcome to BoggsBlogs. We are thankful for our faithful readers and love picking up new readers along the way! Thank you for the sweet comments and messages about yesterday’s post.
If you missed it, click HERE. I paid tribute to my little sister, Ali. Yesterday was her 38th birthday in Heaven.
God only allowed us to have her for a handful of hours physically. In the early morning hours of May 24th, 1987, He took her home. 😪 Ali’s earthly life did not even last a full 24 hours but spanned parts of two days. She left a giant imprint on our hearts.
Dad had an extraordinary moment last summer. He did not know how to describe it fully. I think it was a vision of my sister and a gift from God!
He never wrote about that I can find. I think he only mentioned it a couple of times in his preaching last fall. I do not know if I can explain it accurately, but I will try my best! This moment took place on a Sunday afternoon. He said it was not a dream because he was awake.
Suddenly, He saw my sister, Ali. He was so happy to see her. She was beautiful and grown up. If I remember correctly, she came to him and introduced herself.
He said you could tell we were sisters. Our hair color and skin tone were much the same. Ali favored the Boggs side of the family more than I do. Her facial features and bone structure were like some of our cousins.
In the vision, there were many people around him. He knew I was close by, so he told Ali, "Let me get Odie and introduce you to your sister."
That never happened. Ali hugged him and said, "I love you, Daddy!" Then she was gone, and the brief moment ended.
He was awe struck to see her. He had never experienced that in the 37 years since she had been gone! Just a few months later, Dad saw her in Heaven!
I am so glad he shared that moment with us! Now it is an even more special memory for us! Mom and I did not experience it with him, but we cherish it! I have replayed it countless times in my mind's eye!
I have said it before, but knowing they are together comforts me. We will see them again!
Thanks for letting me write my feelings this week. I guess I have needed to proccess things a little more. The blog is one of my outlets.
See you tomorrow!
Odie
That have me chills and brought a lump to my throat! What an amazing, beautiful experience! Love you all so much! Karen M
