Happy 38th Birthday Ali

 Hey Friends,

Thanks for joining me today. This is a special date on the Boggs family calendar.

On May 23 1987, Ali Elizabeth Boggs joined our family. Her extremely early arrival was not a surprise. It was something my parents and doctors tried to avoid for several weeks. 

That day, Ali said, "Ready or not, here I come." Her little body was not ready to survive the big world. She weighed just over 1lb.

God allowed her to stay with us for a few hours. Then He called her home, on May 24th. 

Her swift arrival and departure changed our lives forever! She left her mark and will never be forgotten. I became a big sister 38 years ago. 

I was 18 months old back then, but I love Ali! I wish we could have shared life and memories together. Honestly, I was so young that I do not remember all of it happening. I still feel a deep bond with my sister. 

We have never understood God's plan, but we have trusted Him. God sees the bigger picture! I must always remember that His ways are higher than ours!

Birthdays do not matter in Heaven, most likely. However, I can not help but think about this being Ali's first birthday to spend with Dad! 

I am thinking of them both together in Heaven. I look forward to our reunion day!

I sure hope that Dad was able to give her a hug for me and remembered to tell her that I love her!

Today, I miss my little sister!  I know I would call her Ali Beth. It just rolls off my tongue. It is only right to say Happy Birthday, Ali Beth!
