Good Morning Mercy

Hey Friends,

Welcome to a Thursday post from Odie. I hope you are having a good day. I do not know what this day holds for me. I plan on today being a good day. One thing that I know for sure, my God is good!

I have been overwhelmed by the fact that God is merciful to me. His mercy endureth forever and ever to all generations. When the sun rises today, we have new mercy!

A portion of scripture is rolling over my heart today. It fills me with great joy and hope for today. I want to share some of the nuggets of encouragement that are helping me.

Lamentations 3:21-25 KJV

21. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

22. It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

23. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

24. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; Therefore will I hope in him.

25. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, To the soul that seeketh him.

This passage reminds me of several good truths that I need to remember more often.
- Believing in these truths gives me hope for today and tomorrow.
- I have the mercies of the Lord and that is why I am not destroyed.
- The Lord's compassion for me will never end.
- His new mercies every day remind me of His great faithfulness.
- He is always with me giving me hope.
- While I wait on Him to work in my life, I will continue to seek Him wholeheartedly.

While considering this scripture and I thought of a good song. Some days this song plays on repeat as my anthem. The song is called Good Morning Mercy, sung by Jason Crabb.

Thank you for reading! I will leave you with a sunrise picture from my archives. This was taken during a February 2017 flight. I remember thinking about God's New Mercy when I captured this picture.
