The Weekend Write Up 6/14/21

We seem to be developing a normal weekend routine while we are home. Each weekend seems to involved food and church and a bit more food. Yep, sounding more normal all the time.

Friday evening, we were scheduled to go out to eat with my parents and my sister and brother-in-law for our June anniversaries. They took us to LongHorn Steakhouse down toward Cincinnati. The steak I ate was fabulous!

Thank you, Dad and Mom, for a wonderful meal and wonderful evening! We enjoyed it much.

Odie and Lisa went to our cousin's wedding at a venue north of Dayton, Friday night. I am sure Odie will have more to say about it, but she sent me a few pictures of the big night.

Sunday morning we were front and center at Dryden Rd and we enjoyed Sunday School and morning worship. Our Pastor, Bro. Bennie Sutherland taught and preached great.

As soon as service was over, we drove an hour to Goshen, Ohio. Long time readers may remember we have preached both a church revival and a tent revival for the church in Goshen when Bro. Dewayne Cornett was the Pastor.

Pastor Cornett resigned as Pastor a few months ago and they have been without a Pastor since then. We have been praying for them and I wanted to go down and encourage them at my first opportunity. That opportunity was Sunday and away we went.

I appreciate Mom, Dad and Lisa going to Goshen to be with us. That was a happy surprise!

We enjoyed the service in Goshen and we were glad to able to go. One of the benefits of being home during this time is being able to visit churches close in the area that we seldom are near enough to attend. We plan on visiting as many as we can.

Which reminds me, we are scheduled to be at Highway of Holiness in Hamilton this coming Wednesday, June 16 at the request of Pastor Dallas Lakes. I am looking forward to seeing all of our friends there.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a super great week.

Davy
