Herr's Horseradish Cheddar Potato Chips

While we were in New Castle, Indiana the Hisles introduced us to a new flavor of Herr's potato chips. I was seriously hooked by Herr's Horseradish Cheddar Potato Chips from the first bite!

I have never had a chip with so much flavor. It bursts with the taste of horseradish. I mean it will even burn your sinus passages like a good dose of chopped horseradish will.

We shared them with family and with several folks at Dryden Rd. campmeeting. Most liked them but there was not much neutral reaction.

If they liked horseradish then they pretty much loved the chips. If they did not like horseradish then they thought we were absolutely nuts!

So far we have not been able to find them any where else but New Castle. We will certainly be on the look out. If you find them, buy a bag and let us know what you think.

While eating some yesterday I found a heart shaped chip. It sums up just how we feel about Herr's Horseradish Cheddar Potato Chips.

I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

  1. I would have to fall on the "absolutely nuts" side of the taste test! Seriously?...HORSE radish!? Where do they get these names? However...Herrs does have a chip that is flavored HOT DOG that I really like!

  3. Will Do! My "Comfort" food is Cheezits or Cheese Puffs but if I had to pick a favorite all-around chip it would be Guys Original BBQ. Bill and Kim Combs from Maryland bring me "Old Bay Seasoning - Crab Chips" which are also very high on my list. When I was a kid they had "Kitty Clover" brand chips. One of their flavors was "Hot Dog and Mustard" and it was outstanding!...Enough rattling...time for lunch!!

  6. You can always order them online but they are insanely expensive that way... So glad you like them. I can not wait to eat them on a good Reuben sandwich!

  7. Try them with onion slices if you wish to be
alone a while... Ditto on crumbling them up in
your soup beans. Maybe Herr's could do a
    Cornbread flavor. Hmmmm
