Pastor Jimmy Millikin

We have certainly been blessed to meet some great people in all of our years on the road. Do you know, Bro. Jimmy Millikin? He and his family are some of the very best people we have ever met.

I can not even recall when we actually met the Millikin family. Bro. James, Sis. Wilma, Bro. Jimmy and Bro. Marty have been mainstay evangelists among the conservative Pentecostal people for many decades. They are incredible people and it seems we have known them all of our lives.

I do not remember exactly the first time we met them personally. Perhaps it was Allentown Camp Meeting in the late 80s. I do know this for sure. We were blessed by their sincerity, talent and heart to minister to others.

In 1993 we were in Florida and drove over to Lake Placid to be with them in revival. That was probably the first time we heard them in a revival setting over several nights and we immediately loved them very deeply.

In the years that followed, we were able to hear them minister from time to time and we were always blessed by their music, singing and Bro. Jimmy's preaching. We came to appreciate them as dear friends.

About eleven years ago when we begin to plan on doing more tent revivals, I approached Bro. Jimmy about him and Sis. Shauna helping us on some of them. Two years later, we had one of the most blessed summers we had ever had with the Millikin family joining us in four tent revivals. They were part of two in Oklahoma, one in Kansas and one in our hometown.

We have been blessed many times since then to minister together with our dear friends. Bro. Jimmy has become one of my best friends and also one of my biggest advocates. He is always in my corner and has been a tremendous encouragement to me and my family.

I have tried to do the same for Bro. Jimmy, Sis. Shauna and their two beautiful children. I have told people far and wide that Bro. Jimmy is my favorite evangelist and I have meant every word of it. They are worthy of applause, appreciation and support.

Bro. Jimmy has traveled in evangelism with his parents most of his life and last fall he passed the 30 year mark of preaching revivals himself. That is a long time to spend on the road, but Bro. Jimmy has a great heart for people and has loved visiting and ministering all over the USA.

Recently Bro. Jimmy and Sis. Shauna experienced a huge change in their life, family and ministry. In the last few weeks Bro. Jimmy excepted the pastorate of Westside Holiness Church in Claremore, Oklahoma. Sis. Shauna was raised in this church under her parents' ministry and it has been the Millikins home church for many years.

After several months without a Pastor, the church has now called Bro. Jimmy in that role and the Millikins are settling into their new direction and position at Westside. I imagine it will be a tremendous change for them, but I am confident that God will prosper their ministry and bless them with many souls in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Please pray for my favorite evangelist, Bro. Jimmy Millikin as he navigates this new course in life and applies himself with diligence and determination in the direction that God has called him to go. May God bless them and Westside Holiness Church.

Thank you for reading today.

Our Weekend In The Rearview Mirror

Friday we had a super lunch at Lambert's in Foley and then a great service Friday night a Bibleway. That is a pretty good way to close out a revival if you ask me!

We are thankful to Pastor Eddy Sullivan and his folks for being so very good to us. They fed us well, loved on us and responded to the Word of the Lord. That is about as good as it gets. We are looking forward to going back again.

Saturday morning the BoggsMobile cranked up fine and ran perfectly. I cranked it, unhooked the electric and water and then we pulled up to the side door of the church. Friday night we had taken down the sound system and placed it by the door so it would be easy to load in the bus. Once it was loaded, we swung around, hooked up the car and pointed the bus toward Citronelle.

The route we took was 85 miles and we made the drive in one hour and forty five minutes. Cedar Creek is one of the easiest places to park. We pull into the parking lot, straight up by the fence and then unhook the car. Easy Peasy.

Once the bus was leveled, shut down and the utilities hooked up, it was time to get down to business. The bus was filthy and needed to be washed. It not only had thousands of miles of road grime, but lots of greasy finger and palm prints on the back from the work that was completed in Houston. It was time to get it washed.

I took this picture of the back before washing, but the dirt did not show as badly as it was. All the edges of the back doors were greasy from handling.

Can you see the difference?

So much better!

The back of the bus had the worst of the dirt and grease, but the whole bus was nasty. Kelly Jo helped me drag the hose and scrub the wheels and about an hour later we were done.

Then Pastor Darius Templeton helped us carry in the sound equipment. We took about an hour to set that up and then mostly rested and worked on being prepared for Sunday. It was a pretty good travel day.

Sunday started early for me, because I was able to go to bed early on Saturday night. I woke up feeling well rested and blessed. God has been so good to us. He has placed so many great people in our lives and I am constantly amazed at their kindness, thoughtfulness and friendship. It is super great being part of the family of God.

When I awoke early Sunday, I was praising God for friends He had strategically positioned along the way. It is almost unbelievable how many wonderful people God has blessed us to know!

It was really good to be with the family of God at Cedar Creek Church for two services Sunday. They had a flu outbreak during revival week last year so it has been two years since we have been here. It is great to be back.

Pastor Darius Templeton, Sis. Kim, their family and all of these folks have a special place in our hearts. I love watching God work in His wonderful way among them. Sunday He was drawing men and women for salvation and the church folks were right in there with them. It was great!

We plan to be here through Thursday night and we are expecting four more great services.

The Sunday services at Cedar Creek are at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. That left us free for the evening. We decided to ride over to Richton, MS for service Sunday night with Pastor Scott Morris and our dear friends. We arrived a few minutes before 6:00. It was great to be part of the service in Richton and we had great fellowship too.

A super Sunday wrapped up a super weekend. Tonight we continue revival at Cedar Creek through Thursday night. We would love to have you join us if you are in the area.

Thank you for stopping in.

Plan For Pentecosal Fire Youth Conference 2019

Hey Friends,

Welcome to another weekend. This is Odie reporting in from Alabama. Today the BoggsMobile will be getting a small workout because we are only traveling from Foley to Citronelle, Alabama. Shorter travel days are nice. I am praying that it is just a smooth move for the bus!

Revival concluded last night at BibleWay Assembly. We have enjoyed our time with Pastor Eddy Sullivan. God visited so sweetly in revival. I love seeing God move for His children. Only He can touch people exactly when and how the work needs to be done. It is a blessing to me to watch God at work!

I am looking forward to revival starting tomorrow and going through Thursday night at Cedar Creek Holy Church of God. I am excited to be with our longtime friends Pastor Darius and Sis. Kim Templeton. We are praying for a flu-free revival. Our 2018 visit to Cedar Creek was canceled due to a flu outbreak.

PFYC
Wow, a look at the calendar shows February will soon be history. 2019 is moving at a rapid pace. I have been gearing up for the Pentecostal Fire Youth Conference and it is right around the corner. This is one of my favorite events and I am grateful for every that year I get to attend.

PFYC is an amazing couple of days when thousands of holiness people will gather from across the nation. It is a special time that is set aside for spiritual enrichment in the wonderful church services and fellowship with the saints. I can not describe how much much my spiritual batteries have been recharged each time! You still have time to make your plans to experience PFYC 2019.

It will take place on Thursday and Friday, April 4th and 5th in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The conference is held at the beautiful Leconte Center located at 2986 Teaster Lane, Pigeon Forge, TN.

There will also be a pre-conference opportunity on Wednesday evening, April 3rd at the Rocky Top Sports World. More information on that event is listed in the schedule posted below.

This meeting is open for anyone to attend! There will be people of all ages in attendance and receiving encouragement and there will be something there for everyone of ALL ages.

All of the 2019 PFYC information that I share in this post can be found by clicking here for the PFYC website. On the website, you can find the 2019 schedule and more conference information.

The 2019 theme is Rooted. Here is the theme scripture for this year. “Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:7‬
