2015 In The Rear View Mirror Part 2

This is Part 2 of 2015 In the Rear View Mirror. I am really having a hard time picking a representative sample of pictures for the past year. We have too many good pictures of too many fantastic friends and beautiful places to pick out two or three and pretend that is enough.

This post goes backward in time as the first one did and covers August and the last half of July. We sure had an exciting year and we have thousands of pictures to prove it! I believe these pictures start at Minister's Restoration in Richton, Mississippi and wind back through Ohio, Oklahoma, Colorado and Montana.

I already had these pictures loaded in a draft post before we arrived in Citronelle. I do not have enough signal to assemble another round of pictures so I will try to post a few more pictures next week. I should have the 2015 Rear View Mirror completed by 2017!

I do hope you are enjoying the pictures.

#2 Weekend Wound Up and Weview

The last day I told you much about was Wednesday so I need to go back to Thursday to recap the weekend. Thursday and Friday we spent in the shop with the BoggsMobile and I will have a whole post about that later.

Thursday evening we met Bro. Joel Isham about 30 minutes from the bus shop in Maryville. We had a great meal at Cheddar's and it was very good to visit with our friend.

Bro. Joel lost his beautiful Mary in November. It has been a rough uphill climb since then and it was our pleasure to spend some time with him. Bro. Joel is a great guy and a faithful friend.

We left Vonore, Tennessee a few minutes after 4:00 PM on Friday afternoon and pointed farther south.

We hit Chattanooga at high traffic and Birmingham, Alabama was a little heavy but we really made good time. We would have stopped for the night at a rest area just south of Montgomery but they did not allow overnight parking so we pressed on. There were no spots at Pilot north of Mobile but there was room to park at Walmart in Saraland.

I think it was about 480 miles from Vonore to Saraland and I was very glad to get stopped. I usually rest better in a truck stop than I do at Walmart so my night was pretty restless. We woke to rain and fog on Saturday.

Kelly Jo brightened things up considerably with a monster omelet for breakfast!

The reason we pressed on so far on Friday after a day in the shop was this little guy.

Meet Gatlyn Solomon Yeary

And the rest of his family, The Isaacs!

They were singing at Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Mobile at 1:00 PM Saturday and we met Bro. Scott, Sis. Kim and Rylee Morris there. We had a wonderful day of music and fellowship with family and friends. It was super great.

Farrell Stearnes, another old friend, drove over from Pensacola to be with us too! He loves the Isaacs.

After the singing we had a great meal at Golden Corral with the Morris' before moving on to Cedar Creek Saturday night. We arrived about 7:00 to end a long trip from Ohio that started on Wednesday.

We had two really good services on Sunday and we are looking forward to more through Wednesday night. If you are close to the area, come be with us.

Pastor Darius and Sis. Kim Templeton

That pretty much sums up our weekend. Our internet service is very limited here so if we miss a day posting this week you will know why. It has been a bear getting all this loaded and I hope it will publish correctly.

Thank you for reading.

View Out The Front Window January 10, 2016

Check out our posts from the last week at the links below.

This was our view Wednesday evening as we parked at Tennessee Luxury Coach in Vonore, Tennessee before going to church at Beechfork.

Our view out the door shows our reflection in the beautiful bus next to us.

Here is our view from the shop. We spent most of Thursday in there and some of Friday too. I will tell you more about that later in the week.

This is our view out the front window late Friday night in a Walmart parking lot in Saraland, Alabama.

We pulled into Cedar Creek Saturday evening after dark and this was our view when we arrived.

Updated view I took Sunday afternoon in the daylight so you can see better.

We have had a great weekend so far and we are excited to begin revival at Cedar Creek this morning. I hope you have a great Sunday.

A Recap of a Special Birthday!

Hey Friends,

This Is Odie checking in from the BoggsMobile. It feels good to be rolling again. This year is already off to an awesome start and I can not wait to see what the rest of 2016 holds. We already have so much to praise God for!

We are excited to be with Pastor Darius Templeton and the great people at Cedar Creek Holy Church of God for a few days. These are very special friends. We are scheduled to be there Sunday through Wednesday. If you are in the area, come visit us near Citronelle, Alabama. We would love to have you in revival.

Friday and Saturday we plan to be in Pine Prairie, Louisiana. We are thrilled for Pastor Barry Gautreaux and our friends at Christian Tabernacle. They have completed their new sanctuary and it is time to celebrate. We cannot wait to have church with them! They will have a youth rally Friday night and then the church dedication service is set for Saturday the 16th at 11:00AM. Dad and Pastor Russell McDonald will be preaching the dedication.

I was really happy to be able to attend a special birthday party last Sunday afternoon. I really enjoyed a memorable day with my family. January 3rd the youngest grandchild on the Boggs side of the family turned 13. I can not believe Lucas James Osborn is now a teenager. He will always be our baby. We love you, Bucko!

It is no secret that Boggs people love food and Luke fits right in with Boggs people. He loves good food and his birthday always includes lots of food. I usually miss out on the fun because are usually long gone by January 3rd. I was thrilled that this year I was able to enjoy the good Chinese food that Luke chose for his birthday dinner. It was good food and good fun.

I went to church with my grandparents at Dodds that morning. We had a wonderful service! Then dinner with most of the family was a great finish to my time at home.

I will close today's post with the fortune that was in my cookie at the birthday party. It cracked me up that, me the girl in the "wheelchair" randomly got this one.

So I guess I better run on.
