Sis. Esther

Revival continues to go well at Bethany Revival Center. Over the years of coming to Bethany we had met many great friends.
Sis. Esther came all the way from Boston, Massachusetts for revival and to be with friends. Sis. Esther is from the DiZazzo's home church in Boston. For years the DiZazzos have spoken highly of this fine lady. We felt as if we were friends before we even met her! So we were so excited to finally put a face with a name.
Saturday at dinner she gave Mom these beautiful roses. She is so sweet!
I think I have met someone more jumpy than myself. I know its hard to believe! Sis. Esther is a good sport about it and we are having a blast with her!!!!!!!
Several friends of come from out of town to visit revival. Maybe I'll get introduce more of them to you later.
Have a wonderful day!

Bro. Chet Meredith

These are pictures of our dear friends the Meredith family on May
10th &11th 2010 in Central City, KY. They came to visit us in revival
that week and as always they were a bright spot in the revival. Their
singing, encouraging words and beautiful smiles have blessed us in
many revivals, camps and special meetings in Kentucky and Indiana the
last several years.

These two nights will always be especially dear to us though. We
had no way of knowing that this would be the last time we would get to
see Bro. Chet this side of glory. Thursday night Bro. Chet passed away
suddenly. For him it was the day he had been anticipating many years
but for his dear wife and precious daughters it is the biggest
challenge they have ever faced.

Please pray for Sis. Beverly, Sis. Beth and Sis. Rachel over the
next few days and weeks. God has helped to this point and they need
that continued help and strength.

As for Bro. Chet, it won't be long Brother and we will see you
again!

Braum's

No trip to Kansas or Oklahoma is quite complete without a trip to
Braum's for a hamburger and ice cream. So after the first night of
revival Pastor John DiZazzo suggested Braum's and off we went. It was
a wise decision. Kelly Jo even found some lime sherbet on a waffle
cone with a total of 4 fat grams. She said it was tasty but I say
Bring on the Chocolate!

What's your favorite flavor? Anybody ever been to Braum's? Leave a
comment.

Flying J Fuel Stop

As Odie posted last night we hit the road yesterday evening a
little before 6:00 pm eastern time. We made pretty good progress even
though it rained most of the time. We arrived in Granite City at
Bethel Chapel around midnight after driving around 380 miles. We left
this morning and pulled into Wichita, KS at Bethany Revival Center
about 6:00 pm central time.

We stopped for fuel today in Missouri. We had plenty of fuel to
make it to Kansas but the price made the decision for me. In Missouri
we paid 2.77 a gallon and in Kansas it was 3.01. That is a savings of
$31! Praise God for every penny that diesel comes down. Our last
three tanks have been $3 a gallon or above.

We start revival tomorrow night for Bro. DiZazzo and we are
looking forward to it. God bless you all.

Memorial Day

Memorial day is a time to remember our loved ones. Also it Is a special time to be thankful for those who gave their lives for our freedom! Many folks use the day off work and school to enjoy the beginning of summer.
Before the BoggsMobile hit the road we spent some time with family. It was great food, fellowship and fun. Papaw has a nice barn. It becomes the hang out place in nice weather. Thankfully the rain held off so we could have beautiful day!
Mamaw and Aunt Theresa got an Ice Cream cake from Dairy Queen. The cake was for Papaw's belated birthday and Mom and Dad's anniversary next month.
Now the BoggsMobile is headed toward Kansas. I must say it was great to be around home for awhile but it feels good to be rolling down the road again.

Alumni Banquet Waynesville High School

Kelly Jo and I attended the 127th annual Waynesville High School
Alumni Banquet tonight (Saturday) along with a few hundred other
graduates dating back to the early 1930's. In fact, both my brothers
and their wives, my sister and her husband and my parents attended the
banquet as well. It was quite an evening.

This year marks 25 years since I graduated from high school. I
have never been very sentimental about my high school experience and I
have certainly never longed for those days to return. You might say
that when they handed the diploma to me that I hit the door running
and never looked back. I had finally been set free!

But it was good too see some of the people again. Most of them I
hadn't seen since graduation. Some looked completely different and
some looked exactly the same just a few years older. I am glad we
attended. Maybe I'll go back for my 50th.

Afterward we drove to Berea, KY. We will finish the drive in the
morning to Bond, KY. We are looking forward to the Sunday services
there AND Sis. Ann Gabbards good cooking.

God bless,
Davy
