Revival In Pictures - Oklahoma City, OK

Monday was bitter cold in Oklahoma City for October 15th. The wind chill was in the 20's and the wind was blowing hard. It was very hot in Alabama and Mississippi when we were there a few weeks ago and will be very hot in Nigeria when we arrive in a month so I am trying not to complain about the cold.

The 93 mile drive from Roadrunner RV Park to Landmark in Lawton was uneventful, exactly as we like it to be. We were here before 1:00. We parked, set up, loaded the sound equipment in and had a good service to begin revival.

Today is a Revival In Pictures post from Fellowship Meeting in Oklahoma City. We sure enjoyed being at Mt. Vernon Holiness Church with Pastor Rickey Searcy and his fine folks. I gave some of the details from the meeting in yesterday's post.

Odie snapped some great pictures at the meeting and captured beautiful memories with the Mt. Vernon folks and friends from the area and other states. I hope you enjoy the Revival In Pictures.

Weekend Woundup and Weview 10/15/2018

Wow! What a wonderful weekend in Oklahoma City! This is a meeting we have attended several times through the years and we have always enjoyed it. We came first in 1991 or 1992, then other years during the 90's and all the years we lived in Wichita.

We also came a couple of times after we went on the road in 2003 and I preached the meeting in 2009. It was great to be back and enjoy the services and fellowship of so many friends. These are good folks and a lot more good folks came to visit!

I posted pictures from Thursday night and we had four more great services after that. There were services Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday night and the last service Sunday morning. The presence of the Lord was near us and dear to us all weekend long.

It sure was nice of Pastor Rickey Searcy to invite us to preach the meeting. Thank you my dear brother. Thank you for loving us and helping us through the years.

Saturday night after church, Bro. Rickey and his folks surprised Odie with a Birthday cake. She was certainly surprised.

Sunday morning the church turned the tables on Bro. Rickey. They surprised him with a Pastor Appreciation service. They had clued me in so that I could be ready with a Pastor Appreciation sermon, but I think Bro. Rickey was as surprised Sunday morning as Odie was Saturday night. It was really awesome.

After church we went to a Mexican restaurant we had never been to before. The church had reserved a large room at Cocina De Mino so that we could all eat together. It was a relaxing afternoon with great fellowship.

They put a sombrero on Odie and sang Happy Birthday to her. It embarrassed her quite a bit, but it was a lot of fun for us. They did not put whip cream on her face though so I borrowed some icing from Bro. Rickey's cake and put it on her forehead.

Once back to the BoggsMobile we loaded the sound equipment in to bus, hooked up the water hose and went inside as quick as possible. It has turned cold on us here in Oklahoma with very strong winds. Brrrrrrr.

We rested Sunday evening, had a little more Mexican food and then called the weekend complete. This morning we plan to drive to Lawton and begin revival tonight.

Odie will have a bunch more pictures ready to post tomorrow, but we have a few to pass on to you today.

Thank you for joining us today. It is always nice to have you along.
