Dedication of Christian Tabernacle in Pine Prairie, Lousiana

Friday night and Saturday morning were exciting times in Pine Prairie, Louisiana. Bro. Gautreaux and his folks have worked long and hard and diligently for about three years to build their new sanctuary. It is beautiful, perfectly sized and God certainly sanctified it to His service over the weekend. Both services were wonderful!

Friday night the new sanctuary was filled to overflowing for a great Youth Rally.

Bro. David Webb preached outstanding to us and the young folks responded in the altar service. God touched our lives and it was wonderful to feel His touch.

Saturday Dedication

Saturday was a beautiful day for the dedication service. There was another big crowd present Saturday morning for a great service.

Pastor Gautreaux began by telling the history of the church and then thanked a bunch of folks that helped in the building process. That part of the service was very touching. Then his family sang a couple of songs.

Then it was our time in the service. Bro. Gautreaux requested we sing "Ain't Gonna Give Up On God" and then I preached a sermon for the dedication of the new sanctuary. God help us and I am very thankful for it.

Pastor Russel McDonald capped off the day with a perfect sermon to the lost. God used him and then touched the people in the altar service!

Afterward, Bro. Gautreaux gathered the people around and everyone prayed that God would use this new sanctuary for His glory and for the saving of souls.

When the service was over we had a wonderful meal and great fellowship before we went our separate ways.

KJ up to tricks!

It was a great honor and privilege to be a part of this weekend. The Pine Prairie folks are wonderful friends and we love them dearly. They desperately needed the new sanctuary and we are so glad it is finished. May God bless them for their hard work and fill it up for His glory.

Thanks for reading.

A Truck for Jimmie Radcliffe and City Reach

I posted on December 16th about the trailer that Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe had found for City Reach. That post has a full description of our intention for the trailer and some pictures. I mentioned then that Bro. Jimmie had a solid Dodge truck but that he was in the market for a bigger truck in good condition.

Bro. Jimmie's Dodge with the Cummins engine would have no trouble pulling the trailer but with that much trailer and that much weight, stopping power becomes a big issue. A bigger truck was really needed to take a load off of his mind.

By the end of December he had found just the truck he was looking for. If I understand correctly, it is a 2000 Volvo. It does have lots of miles but Bro. Jimmie ran across several guys still using similar trucks every day with twice the miles. He also had this one checked out by a diesel mechanic/driver and he gave this truck the thumbs up.

Here are a few pictures.

It looks great! We are praying that this truck gives Bro. Jimmie good dependable service this year in City Reach and for many years beyond. Bro. Jimmie bought this truck himself and is in the process of putting in the living quarters in the front of the tent trailer. If anyone would like to help with any of that expense please feel free to contact us and I will put you in direct contact with Bro. Jimme Radcliffe.

Slowly but surely God is putting all the pieces for City Reach into place. This is a learning experience for all of us except God. He knows exactly what He is doing and He is passing information on to us on a need to know basis, I guess. Thank God for His help!

We are having a great time in Ellisville. There is no way to describe the response in the altar last night other than to say Thank you God for your touch! Amazing! Thank you for praying for us.

#3 Weekend Woundup and Weview

Wow! What an incredible weekend! That pretty much sums it up but I am sure you want more details than that!

Friday morning we left Ellisville for the 300 mile drive to Pine Prairie, Louisiana. We stopped in Baton Rouge at Golden Corral for lunch and then arrived in Ville Platte at the hotel a few minutes before 3:00. We rested a few minutes and then it was time to get ready for the first Youth Rally in the new sanctuary of Christian Tabernacle.

The building was full and the service was powerful. Bro. David Webb preached an outstanding message and the altar service was incredible. God blessed and helped so many folks that night including our family.

Saturday morning was the actual dedication service for the new sanctuary. I will probably have more pictures and information about that later in the week but here are a few pictures now.

After food and fellowship Friday afternoon we pointed the Green Machine toward Ellisville, Mississippi. About 2 1/2 hours later we were stopping in Baton Rouge for supper at Golden Corral again. It was so good both days and we are such creatures of habit!

We were back in the BoggsMobile by 9:00 PM Saturday evening and God blessed us all with a very good night's sleep. I was up early Sunday morning feeling refreshed and ready to go after two great services in Louisiana.

Sunday was a super great start to revival in Ellisville, Mississippi. God spoke to us and moved among us and visited us in the altar. Praise God for His help and I am in great anticipation He will continue to bless all this week.

It is so good to be here with Pastor Kenny Morris and all of our dear friends. Here are a few pictures from Sunday in Ellisville but I am sure we will have many more later in the week.

I updated Sunday morning's post mid-afternoon. Last year when we were in Ellisville I posted this about the view out the front door.

This is one of our absolutely favorite places to park. It is so easy to get into and pull out of. It is close to 50 amp power, close to water and easy to empty the holding tanks. It is also directly next to a laundromat and just two or three doors down from Sonic. Plus it is right here with some of our favorite people in the world. It does not get any better than that.

That definitely makes up for the view of the fellowship hall out the front door.

Sis. Mandy Morris determined that the view out the front door would better this year. Here is our view this year. Look out our door.

That is so funny! I just looked again and sure enough they are still out there and they sure look cold!

One more thing from the weekend. Pastor Darius Templeton called me Sunday afternoon with an absolutely terrific praise report. They had a man saved in their Sunday morning service and that is awesome. What is even more awesome is that the salvation of this man was the cry of his son's heart during revival! God heard that cry! God answered that prayer! Praise God for His faithfulness.

That pretty much wraps up our weekend. Thank you for reading.
