Revival In Pictures-Sweeny, Texas PLUS An Update

Job 12:9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.

I do not know what God is doing, but I know that God is always doing something. He has a plan that is bigger than my plan. He has ways that are bigger than my ways. He has thoughts that are much higher than my thoughts.

Dear Friends, I desire the hand of Lord to help me. I desire the Lord to heal me. I desire Him to breathe into me the breath of life.

There are people all over the world praying for me as a result of our prayer request last week and I sure appreciate it. With all these saints praying for me, I know that my case is in the hands of God. That is the safest place in the world to be!

Bro. Lamb allowed us to close revival Wednesday in order to rest my lungs a bit and I know it was the right thing to do. I am finished with the strong round of medicine, but I still feel tightness in my lungs. I have no congestion, only tightness. Honestly, from Thursday evening into Friday, it is worse. We know that God is able.

Revival In Pictures
It has been a wonderful revival this week at Full Gospel Lighthouse in Sweeny, Texas. The altar services have been tremendous and we are thankful the Lord has met His people in a special way.

Pastor Larry Lamb and his people have been our friends for over thirty years and we love coming to Sweeny to be with them. We have had great meals, great fellowship and great services this week.

We also had a special guest for two nights this week. Sweeny is kind of off the beaten path for most of our friends, but Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe flew in and blessed our services while he was here. Wow! What an amazing treat! You will see pictures of him mixed in below.

Thank you for stopping in. Now I give you Revival In Pictures.

A Nugget of Encouragement

Hey Friends,

This is Odie today. I hope you are doing fine. I am doing well. It is time for a moment of encouragement.

I woke up recently thinking of Psalm 37:25. This is what the verse says.

I opened my Bible app to read Psalms 37:25 and I read the previous verses. My attention was drawn to three verses that night. These verses reminded me of a few things and gave me much food for thought. Here are a few of the thoughts rolling over in my heart and mind.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

1. I can not grow slack in my walk with God.

I have to always stand guard! It is easy to grow content in my surroundings. The current events can distract me from my main goal. I do not want to lose my focus, of living a life pleasing to God.

2. Wining my Christian race is possible.

Life has its heartaches and trials, but I can succeed in my race. My commitment to victory is renewed. I rest in the hope and promise that God is taking care of me. Also, I must walk, my Christian walk, according to His plan. Living in God's will gives me purpose and joy.

3. God will never forsake the righteous.

He will be with me through good and bad. Sometimes I have to remind myself that God is in control! Honestly, it is a relief knowing that I do not have to handle life on my own. I am thankful for the word of God that helps me survive life. This very moment God is working in our lives.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
As a human being, I am going to fail in life. I am so grateful that failure does not have to be final. My goal is to be a "good man", like verse 23 states. I want my steps to be ordered by God, in every way! I am striving to avoid failure.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.
My mistakes in life do not have to define me. I have assurance in the fact the He does not abandon me. The grace of God is amazing! Recovery can be a reality for me and you. It is comforting to know, that the Lord is holding me right now.

In everyday life, falling is common for me. I am a pro at getting back up and going on with life. Occasionally there is a fall that leaves me sore, bruised and scratched. Those types of falls take some recovery time. They do not give me a right to give up on living life. I must make my self keep going.

I have to do the same thing with my Christian race. Heaven is my goal and I can not quit. The finish line is getting closer and I refuse to give up now.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
I must remember that this verse does not guarantee me a life without trouble. We are going to have hard times, as we travel this life.

I have been observing life for a long time. When I was a girl, I could not imagine saying, I remember thirty years ago, but now that is my reality. I have watched God provide for the young and old alike. I have seen Him move continually for me. He has definitely taken care of me! I rest in the fact that God will never forsake me!

There are many of our dear brothers and sister face hardships daily. God has not forsaken any of them! He will see them through life too. Many times troubles make our relationship with God stronger.

The other night I woke up with this scripture flooding my mind. I drew strength from it. I love it when a portion of the Bible comes to life. I hope this encourages you too.

Thanks for joining me today!

A Word For Wednesday-The End Is Not Yet!

It is time again for A Word For Wednesday. This morning, I am posting A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

Do not get shook up! See that ye be not troubled. All these things much come to pass, but the end is not yet.

God is not finished working this out! The end is not yet!

Matthew 24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

I hope you enjoy A Word For Wednesday!

The Weekend Dispatch 1/24/23

 This was a terrific weekend!

After a super great final service Friday night several men helped us load up the sound equipment and we said our goodbyes to our friends in Bernice, Louisiana. We made our way toward the bed as quickly as we could so that we would be able to hit the road Saturday morning.

Here is the BoggsMobile ready to go at 7:40 AM Saturday morning.

As soon as we turned on the highway, KJo handed sunglasses to me. Yes, it was so sunny before 8:00 AM that sunglasses were required equipment. That was a welcome change. Thankfully, we drove in sunshine for about three hours. It was wonderful.

The clouds moved in for hour number four and then the rain followed the clouds. It rained most of the rest of the trip, but we had no rain while driving through Houston. That was a huge plus!

We had an interesting fuel stop at Love's in Angleton, Texas, south of Houston.

The BoggsMobile needed 165+ gallons to reach full capacity. That is our largest fillup on record by volume, although we have had numerous 158-162 gallon fillups in the past. The interesting and frustrating part was the time. The pump took 32 minutes to pump in 165+ gallons of diesel.

The second truck to pull in next to me took on 300 gallons in just over 10 minutes. I must have had the slowest pump in the history of Texas! Wow! 32 minutes seemed even longer with the rain and cool wind.

The BoggsMobile pulled into Full Gospel Lighthouse Saturday at 3:55 PM after 391 miles and a little over eight hours including the loooooong fuel stop.

Pastor Larry Lamb met us at the church and we rolled in equipment and set up later in the evening.

Sunday morning in Ohio was cold with lots of snow. We are super glad to be in Texas.

Both Services Sunday in Sweeny were fantastic and they served a meal after both services too. It really was a super great Sunday!

We are so glad to be with Bro. Lamb and his congregation. We have been coming here since the early 1990s and is a joy to be back with them. Revival is scheduled to go through Friday, but Bro. Lamb has given me permission to close Wednesday if I think I need to. I will make that decision later.

Thank you for joining us.
