Revival In Pictures = Wartburg, Tennessee

We enjoyed a special few nights of revival this week at Beechfork Holiness Church near Wartburg, Tennessee. Our first time preaching here was in June 1987, so we have been attached to these people for thirty five years. They are wonderful friends and we love them deeply.

Pastor Herman Woods and Sis. Margaret have been like parents to KJo and I for nearly thirty seven years. We love being with them and we love the Beechfork people. It was amazing to watch God work among them each night. I really hated to leave!

There were hugs and tears all around after the final revival service. My heart was full of joy with a helping of sadness on top at having to move down the road. Heaven is going to be an incredible blessing when we are all there together with no more parting.

We sure hope you enjoy the Revival In Pictures. Thank you for dropping by.

Driving Wtih Our Eyes Open

We were blessed to spend several weeks preaching revivals in Virginia and West Virginia recently and we loved every moment of it. It is always a wonderful privilege for us to be there.

If my memory is correct, we preached seven revivals and a single night at another church. It is an honor and a privilege to minister in churches and we are thankful for the kindness and hospitality.

We tried to document each revival with pictures and descriptions. We loved being with the people and the pastors. The services were awesome and we experienced things that we will remember for a long time. It was a super great trip.

Visiting those states brings even more blessings than great churches and great people. We are in love with the whole area and we fall more in love each time we get a glimpse of the beautiful scenery. It is beautiful in every direction.

The drive up I-81 through the Shenandoah Valley is amazing. KJo and I spend the whole time looking back and forth trying to take it all in. We have picked out about 300 pieces of property on each side of the interstate that would be acceptable places to live, but they are all occupied by someone else. What is up with that?😍

Get off the interstate and it gets even better. There are dozens of communities and each has its own special charm. Driving the BoggsMobile gives us an excuse to drive slowly, gawking as we go.

We point out old brick churches in town and quaint little frame churches in the country of all denominations and flavors and we wonder aloud why they have never called us to Pastor. We could live here, couldn't we? Sure we could, until the itch to ramble struck again.

The Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park is almost unbelievably pretty. KJo and I were able to drive up one evening before beginning revival at Bible Holiness. We do not often get to go in the evening. It was totally awesome!

If all goes as planned, we will be seeing beautiful things in the west very soon, but those breathtaking scenes will not erase the wonder of Virginia.

Thank you for joining us today.

A Word For Wednesday - Biblical Truth About Life For Our President

It is time for A Word For Wednesday. A Few minutes ago, I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

I have a word of Biblical truth about life for our president and others who may need to be enlightened.

President Joe Biden said that all mainstream religions have concluded that we do not know when life begins. This is part of his statement.

“Roe says what all basic mainstream religions have historically concluded, that the existence of a human life and being is a question,” ...“Is it at the moment of conception? Is it six months? Is it six weeks? Is it quickening, like Aquinas argued?

Dear Mr. President, Bible believing Christians have no question about when life begins. We read it in the Bible and we believe the Bible to be true.

Psalms 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

There are many other truths in the Bible that I am sure would bring amazing amounts of light into our dark world IF we would read it, embrace it, receive it and believe it!

We have had several hundred friends dropping by Mile Markers every day for years. Sometimes the numbers are over 1000 each day. Thank you for that. We appreciate it very much. Would you consider clicking on the YouTube link and joining us there as well? It would make our day!

Thank you for stopping by today. Please feel free to share this Mile Marker today.

That Was Too Easy

A lock on a gate to a piece of property or on the door of a barn or shop or shed or business or house is making a statement. The lock is saying this is mine and I would rather you not go in. The closed gate or door should be enough of a statement, but the lock reinforces it.

It says loudly, "This is my property and if I want you inside, I will invite you inside!"

We already know this, but people are a little touched in the head these days. People understand the boundaries very clearly when you are talking about their own belongings, but seem to have little regard for the sanctity of what belongs to you.

They may slap you upside the head for looking at their stuff. But they will walk right into your house and take what they want IF they want.

I heard a man say when I was young that a lock only keeps an honest man out. I had to give that some thought. With time and experience, I came to understand what he was saying.

Most locks are not and can not be adequately manufactured to keep a determined or professional thief out of anything! Multiplied millions of dollars are spent every year on security systems and security teams. But thieves are working overtime to defeat every one of those systems.

Our locks say to the honest man, please leave this alone. I have been obsessive about locking everything for 35+ years. Yet, to the dishonest man determined to make what is mine his, the lock is a small hindrance and nothing more.

Common locks and security systems that we average people use would barely slow down a professional thief IF we have something they want.

I said a moment ago that I heard a person say when I was young that a lock only keeps an honest man out. As I said, I pondered that for a while. I understood better when that very man was caught breaking into the lockers of his friends and stealing their valuables.

Yep, I guess he was the voice of experience. He could get a combination or key padlock open in about two seconds. I guess we should have listened closer when he told us a lock only keeps an honest man out. He was very honest about that.

Interestingly, he was only stealing from his friends. I guess he knew what they had. Thankfully, I was not one of his friends.

Our old hitch for pulling the Green Machine needed to be thrown away. But it was attached with a locking pin to a valuable drop down for a Reese style hitch.

The locking pin had kept the hitch secure for twelve years. Over time, the pin had become bent and I could not remove it. I saw my neighbor outside and asked if he could cut it off. He did.

In about thirty seconds, with a cordless grinder and a cutoff wheel, he removed the locking pin that had kept my Blue Ox safe for twelve years. That was too easy!

The locking pin had spoken to a lot of honest people I suppose, but thankfully never made conversation with a thief.

I have no spiritual point from this, although there may be one laying around somewhere. I began thinking about this while we were home and needed to type it to see if it made sense. Does it?

Thank you for stopping by.
