Let It Snow - Say It Ain't So!

Wow! What a change! These pictures were taken Saturday afternoon in Elkton, Virginia.

This was the next day, Easter Sunday. It was a little cooler, but beautiful!

Now, get ready for pictures from Monday at about 2:00 PM.

About 4 miles east of here the yards were completely covered with snow, no grass showing at all. Wow! again! What a difference a day makes.

It is supposed to be in the upper 60s today, upper 70s tomorrow and the 80s all weekend. Maybe Monday was old man winter's last gasp in 2022. I sure hope so!

Snow on April 18th is way too late for me!

Thank you for stopping by. Tomorrow we hope to have Revival In Pictures for you.

A Word For Wednesday - Asking Men For God

It is time for A Word For Wednesday. A Few minutes ago, I posted A Word for Wednesday on our YouTube Channel. Please give it a listen and leave us a comment here or on YouTube.

In W. E. Sangster's daily devotional he says that we should ask God for men and then also ask men for God. I often ask God to help me reach men for His kingdom, but I should also be asking men for God.

Today I relate two stories. In the first, I tell about my failure to ask a man for God and the sorrow and guilt I felt afterward. Then I tell of an instance when I obeyed the nudge to ask men for God and the joy it brought and still brings to my soul.

Please enjoy A Word For Wednesday and let us hear from you. Thank you for reading and listening today.

Tony's NY Pizza In Bristow, Virginia

We have gone on record here on Mile Markers that our favorite Italian restaurants so far have been in the Boston area and NYC. We love Polcari's in Saugus, Massachusetts. Honestly, we have never had a mediocre Italian experience in Boston. Every place we have tried has been excellent.

Somehow, Polcari's became our "go to" place in Boston. I suppose we have found what we love at Polcari's and can not drive past it!

We also had a super great Italian food experience at Carmine's in NYC near Time's Square several years ago and have never forgotten it. Wow! It was so good!

However, when we are in Virginia, it is too far to drive to NYC or Boston. It is a good thing that Tony's NY Pizza is literally within 1/2 mile from the church in Bristow, Virginia.

We arrived in Bristow on Saturday, 4/9 and went to Tony's that evening. On Sunday, we went with Bristow friends Sunday afternoon AND Sunday night. THEN we went to Tony's for lunch Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Yes, we are creatures of habit, but that is not the only reason we ate at Tony's eight times in seven days. The food is really that good. Take a look.

Those pictures do not even show the salads. I had the Antipasto Italiano Salad most days, but switched it up to the Chicken Ceasar Salad some. Wow Again! So good!

Now we sit two hours from Tony's and pine for the good ol' days!🤣😜

Thank you for joining us today. God bless you, friends.

The Weekend Dispatch 4/18/22

Allow me to touch on Thursday for a moment as I get into the weekend report. Thursday at 11:30 AM, we had our first service in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Yes, you read that correctly. Virginia Wednesday night and Thursday night, and the United Arab Emirates in between.😍

Pastor Pastor Tom (Manoj Thomas) from Lighthouse Revival Church had invited us to sing and preach in their Missionary Conference by Zoom. We were very happy to accept his kind invitation.

We were asked to lead worship for about 25 minutes and then preach 40-45 minutes. Our phone signal was not the greatest last week in Bristow, but we were able to link up to Zoom and stay connected the whole meeting. We enjoyed it very much.

It is a great blessing to us to participate in Zoom services with our Indian brothers and sisters all over the world. What an amazing opportunity.

Revival Thursday night ended well and several of the men helped us get our sound equipment loaded in the bus.

Friday we did as much of nothing as possible. We did take time for lunch, of course.

Saturday morning we cranked the BoggsMobile, did the work of the evangelist, hooked up the Jeep and drove to Elkton, Virginia. I decided to take the interstate route which is a little farther, because I wanted to fill up with diesel. We pulled into Bible Holiness before 2:00 PM. We unhooked and parked and I piddled with several bus things for a while.

Sunday morning we drove less than six miles to Sandy Bottom Holiness Church to begin revival. We enjoyed a great Easter with our friends, including a church dinner Sunday afternoon. It was a great day.

That pretty much wraps up our weekend. Thank you for tuning in.

May God bless you this resurrection morning! Praise God! Christ Arose!

Sunday Morning Sanity
For a good dose of sanity this morning I am going to point you back to A Word For Wednesday, He Wouldn't Stay Dead.

Saturday was a gorgeous day in the Shenandoah Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wow! This was our view out the front window of the bus Saturday afternoon shortly after we parked at Bible Holiness in beautiful Elkton, Virginia.

I have you have a super great Sunday! Thank you for stopping by.

Christ's Amazing Love

Hey Friends,

This is Odie coming to you, once again, from Virginia. We are having a fabulous time visiting with many dear friends! The Lord is blessing us with good services.

Happy Easter! Tomorrow we will focus on the resurrection of Christ from the tomb. Hallelujah, our Savior is alive today! We have hope in this life because we serve a risen Savior!

Christ's Amazing Love
I want to share a brief thought with you. For several days, I have been pondering Christ's amazing love! Today I wanted to remind of that Christ loves you too!

A passage of scripture has been on my heart lately. It is found in Romans chapter 5. The entire chapter is outstanding and I encourage you to read it! Verse number 8 is what drew me back to this chapter.

My heart is eternally grateful for the amazing love Christ demonstrated for us. He willing died on the cross for sinful humanity! Christ loved us even while we were filthy sinners.

His blood can cleanse us. It is precious and makes us new again! That is the awesome power of the blood that Jesus shed on the cross for mankind!

I will leave with a wonderful song from The Isaacs. Click here to listen to None So Lovely. Please read these powerful lyrics below and allow them to soak into your soul. Remember the love that Christ demonstrated for you on the cross. Join me in worshipping our mighty Savior for a few moments!

None So Lovely

Verse 1
You spread Your light over the oceans
The starry night; the words You've spoken
You laced the fields in brilliant color
You clothed the earth in endless wonder
And all the glory of a thousand suns
Cannot compare to the beauty of Your love

Chorus
The crown You bore in our place
The blood that ran down Your face
There's none so lovely, Lord, there's none so lovely as You
The shame that pierced Holy hands
The cry that conquered our sin
There's none so lovely, Lord, there's none so lovely as You

Verse 2
Your light of truth has pierced the
blackness
And resurrected life from ashes
We marked ourselves as scarred and dirty
But Your sacrifice has named us worthy,
worthy

Chorus
The crown You bore in our place
The blood that ran down Your face
There's none so lovely, Lord, there's none so lovely as You
The shame that pierced Holy hands
The cry that conquered our sin
There's none so lovely, Lord, there's none so lovely as You

Bridge
How lovely that You love me
How lovely that I can love You
How lovely that You love me
How lovely that I can love You
How lovely that You love me
How lovely that I can love You
Lord How lovely that You love me
How lovely that I can love You

Chorus
The crown You bore in our place
The blood that ran down Your face
There's none so lovely, Lord, there's none so lovely as You
The shame that pierced Holy hands
The cry that conquered our sin
There's none so lovely, Lord, there's none so lovely as You

Chorus
The crown You bore in our place
The blood that ran down Your face
There's none so lovely, Lord, there's none so lovely as You
The shame that pierced Holy hands
The cry that conquered our sin
There's none so lovely, Lord, there's none so lovely as You
