What a wonderful week we have had in Denham Springs, Louisiana! We have enjoyed having revival with Pastor Jerry Arnold and the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. God has been blessing His people and it has been a joy to behold.
We have one more night of revival and then we plan to roll toward Sweeny, Texas. If the weather holds good today, we will unhook from the utilities pull the bus into the parking lot and get hooked up and ready to go.
After church, we will load up the sound equipment, crank the bus and hit the road by God's grace.
Before that happens though, today is Revival In Pictures. Let us get to it. Thank you for stopping by.
It was wonderful to have Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe with us for 2 and 1/2 days while we were home. Those of you that know Bro. Jimmie, know that he is worth his weight in gold. He is handier than a pocket on a shirt and more talented!
Of course, he worked the whole time he was here and we appreciate all that he was able to accomplish. We sure hope he keeps coming around even though it seems we are trying to work him to death.
The main reason he came was not for work.
Readers from way back may remember that I gave our original revival tent away several years ago because I felt like the Lord ask me to do so. Within a week or so, a Pastor told me that his church was going to help buy the new tent I was planning to order.
They paid nearly the whole amount for our first Blue and White tent. Please take a few moments to go back to 2011 and read that story. I just read it again and tears are flowing down my face. God is so amazing to provide direction when we need it!
A few years later, another family in another state purchased the fourth piece for that tent that we used in City Reach. That was another miracle.
Late last year we decided to replace two of the three original pieces of the Blue and White tent. We replaced the two sections that make up the 48' round part of the tent. The finish was damaged in a 24 hour dust storm in 2016 and those two pieces are showing their wear more and more every set up. It may last for years with periodic setups, but we decided to be safe rather than sorry.
We knew we would find a home for the old pieces and we did. We are giving the two tent pieces, a center pole, 20 stakes and one 22' wall piece to Bro. Jimmie Radcliffe and Bro. Jimmy Millikin. We are hoping they can use it in Oklahoma for many more years.
Bro. Jimmie took it back to Oklahoma when he left.
We have been asked to preach a tent revival in Oklahoma this summer and we want to do it if the pandemic situation allows. However, I was having trouble figuring out a way to get my tent trailer into position without several hundred extra miles of driving and a short time to do it.
We are going to purchase the side poles and ratchet straps the old tent needs to be usable and that will be partial payment for using the old tent in Oklahoma for a week this summer. I think that will work out nicely.
We are so happy to place the old tent into the hands of men that will try to use it in winning souls to Christ. We are glad to do that and would not think of doing otherwise.
We are paying our blessings forward inTENTly!
Thank you for stopping in to visit Mile Markers today.

Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
I wrote yesterday about spending a few days in Vonore, Tennessee with Jeff Rowe at East Tennessee Luxury Coach. I typed the following paragraph and my mind has been pondering it ever since.
The BoggsMobile is a 1995 Prevost XL built in early 95. It was converted over the next several months into a motorhome in Sanford, Florida and is titled as a 1996. We are the third owner and we purchased it in March 2008.
I am a firm believer that the God we serve is all knowing AND that our God has a plan for us that we are mostly ignorant about. We have no way of knowing what lies ahead and we can not be faulted for that.
However, God does know.
In 1994 a businessman in California was shopping for a bus/motorhome. For reasons only he knows, he decides to order an empty bus shell from Prevost like he wanted it and then shop the conversion to several converters. It is exactly reverse from the way it is usually done, but that was his route.
The bus shell was built and delivered in early 1995 to Featherlite in Sanford, Florida. It was converted over the course of that year and finished in late 95. It was titled as a 1996 Prevost Vantare and delivered to the purchaser.
He keeps it and drives it a few years and then he sells it or trades it away. The second owner was a businessman in Texas. He keeps it a few years and then trades it on a newer used bus at Florida Luxury Coach about 1/2 from where it was converted in Sanford, Florida.
The bus sits on that lot for a year or so before we notice it and begin a months long process of lowball offers and rejections until they finally call me and offer to sell it for my original offer.
We drive to Sanford, look it over and make another offer. They reject that with a counteroffer that we accept. Later that week we drive away with white knuckles, frazzled nerves and a fearful heart.
The rest is history and has been well documented here on Mile Markers.
This is what I have been pondering since I wrote the italicized paragraph way up the page.
While OUR bus was being planned, purchased, converted and delivered, what were we doing in 1994-1996? I did not know a thing about what was going on in California and Sanford, Florida. I could not have even dreamed I would need a bus or own a bus years later.
In 1994 and early 1995 I was working as a trim carpenter and electrician for a contractor in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. We were renting the ground floor of an old house in Franklin, Ohio and in March of 1995, we rented a two bedroom house in the country near Miamisburg, Ohio.
Work was steady enough to keep our bills paid and we were trying to save toward purchasing a house. We were living week to week, working lots of hours, going to church faithfully and trying to keep our head above water both financially and emotionally.
I had no idea or even dreams that we would evangelize again. It was not even on the radar. As far as I could envision, I would be right there in Dayton, Ohio, enjoying life and working in our home church 30 years later.
In April 1995 I hired in at GM in Dayton, working on the assembly line at Truck and Bus. At times, I dared to think I might work there until I retired someday.
While the BoggsMobile was being converted I was filling Blazers, Jimmys and Bravadas with transmission fluid, putting on wheel coverings, pinstripes, adjusting headlights and driving them off the line.
This what I want you to see.
God knew we would find this bus.
God knew we would purchase this bus.
God knew we would drive this bus hundreds of thousands of miles.
God knew we would live in this bus and love this bus.
God knew this bus would be home.
He knew it would be the ultimate BoggsMobile.
I did not have a clue. I was too busy working. I was too busy trying to keep up. I was too busy living life and fulfilling my obligations in the moment.
While I was busy, God was preparing something for me that would be a tremendous blessing to me and my family.
Did the original owner see that?
Did Prevost in Canada see that?
Did Featherlite in Sanford, Florida see that?
Did I see that?
No, No, No and No!
But, I can see it clearly now!
This is what I want you to take away from this. It is entirely possible that God is working blessings in my life and that God is working blessings in your life that you and I know absolutely nothing about right now.
We are busy trying to keep our heads above water. We are completely involved in the here and now and that is absolutely OK. We are working, we are struggling, we are striving to make it through today and tomorrow and next week.
Hey! That is fine. That is what it takes. We are in a pandemic. We are in unprecedented times. We have never walked this road before. We are dealing with sickness and death in ways we have not experienced in our lives.
It is OK for us to be preoccupied with today, with here and now. That is understandable.
But, please, please, believe me, friend! It is entirely possible and highly probable that God is working a plan right now for blessings to come to you and to me in our future!
You can not see it.
I can not see it.
Other people involved can not see it.
But God sees it! He knows the end from the beginning. In your difficulty, God is working. In your despair, God is working. In your darkest hour, God Is Still Working.
Even when you can not see it. Even when you have not dreamed it. Even when you can not imagine it. God is working right now and His work NOW will be manifested in you life at a later date! Hallelujah!

That is our Word For Wednesday. Thank you for joining us.
Thank you for faithfully reading Mile Markers. I have been told by some readers that they love everything we post, EXCEPT for the mechanical stuff. That is OK. I understand. Maybe you can at least enjoy the pictures today. We need to document the mechanical stuff to help jog our memories later.😁
Also, there are other readers that come here almost exclusively for the bus mechanical stuff. Today is your happy day. Here we go!
The BoggsMobile is a 1995 Prevost XL built in early 95. It was converted over the next several months into a motorhome in Sanford, Florida and is titled as a 1996. We are the third owner and we purchased it in March 2008.
We spent a few days recently in Vonore, Tennessee at East Tennessee Luxury Coach giving the BoggsMobile a little tender loving care. Jeff Rowe and his guys changed the oil, lubed everything, replaced the coolant, a coolant sensor, repaired the AC, took care of several pesky air problems and a few other miscelaneous items.
We are always thrilled to pull into Jeff's shop in Vonore. It almost feels like going home again. There is nothing quite as beautiful as east Tennessee and a parking lot full of buses and a dear friend waiting for us makes it even prettier.
We ask God every day to bless Jeff and his business. We have been doing that for almost seven years since our first visit there in March 2014.
Much of the commercial bus world has been decimated by the pandemic and even a lot of individuals with buses as motorhomes have parked them for the duration. That has the potential to damage Jeff's business badly. That is another reason we have been praying for God to help him and his guys day by day!
We had a pleasant time in Vonore, ate good food, visited with wonderful friends and took care of the bus. As much as we love to pull into Vonore, we like leaving too. I like cashing out, getting a couple hundred miles behind us and knowing that everything is running smoothly once again.
Yes, this old bus inflicts emotional pain upon me at times, but the BoggsMobile is a joy to drive and a pleasure to own.😍 I praise God for this nearly 26 year old machine and I praise God for Jeff Rowe helping to keep it rolling down the highway!
Thank you for taking a few minutes to read Mile Markers today.
It is way time to get back into the swing of things.
Going home for Christmas is a necessity.
Spending quality time with family is a necessity.
Working at home on house stuff and barn projects is a necessity.
Spending a few days at the bus shop getting the oil changed and focusing a little much needed attention on BoggsMobile health before a year of traveling is a necessity.
But we are so ready to get back to doing what we do! We have a few road pictures. The BoggsMobile has already traveled nearly 1000 miles this year.
Look at this rig we saw at our first fuel stop of the year in Hammond, Louisiana.
The BoggsMoible resting comfortably in Denham Springs next to very quiet neighbors.
Sunday morning we began revival for Pastor Jerry Arnold at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Denham Springs, Louisiana. We enjoyed both services Sunday so much and we are looking forward to the rest of the week here before moving on to Texas.
Odie snapped a few pictures. We will try to have many more by Friday.
Pastor Jerry Arnold
We were here with Bro. Arnold on a Sunday night back in September 2020, but this is our first revival for him and his folks. Bro. Arnold has been driving several hours to visit our revivals in other churches so it is about time we returned the favor. It is wonderful to meet new people and to go to "new to us" churches!
That wraps up another weekend. Please pray for us, the world is changing rapidly out here. Thank you.
This was our view out the front window when we stopped for the night in Mississippi Thursday night.
This is our view this week out the front window in Denham Springs, Louisiana.
Sunday Morning Sanity
Someone tried to convince me that the government implanted a chip in my brain to control my thoughts. Deep down inside, something tells me that is not true.😜
This is Odie reporting in with you today. Happy Saturday, I hope that you had a great week. I am doing well.
Today I want to share some thoughts that have been rolling over in my heart. Hopefully, my mind and fingertips can convey my feelings, as I type this post.
Peace In Trusting
Recently I have been reflecting on the faithfulness of God. It is a blessing that we can trust
Him! God is always with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us!
The
uncharted terrain that we all have been traveling may be scary, but we are
not alone. I am grateful to have Him navigating life with me! I am thankful that I can depend on the peace that He gives me.
I have also been reminding myself that true and lasting peace comes when I can fully trust God. He is in control of all things. Not one thing will ever take Him by surprise.
Daily I am trying to remember to trust Him anew. He can see me through the events of each day. A couple of my favorite Bible passages give me great strength and comfort. These words are so true and they never lose their power!
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
There is a beautiful song that has been encouraging me recently. I am going to share it with you today. My cousins Sonya Isaacs Yeary, Jimmy Yeary and Becky Isaacs Bowman penned this song last year. They have a true gift of writing songs that speak straight to the heart!
This particular song is titled Peace In Trusting. You can hear it on the newest project from The Isaacs. The album is titled Songs For The Times. Click hereto order your copy of this project. Also you can click here to see a behind the scenes video of The Isaacs recording this song. Sonya shares the circumstances that inspired the song.
These words have been playing over in my head on repeat. Many nights I have woke up singing this chorus. It is my anthem right now. The message is true!
There’s peace in trusting the Lord
Peace when my faith and fear are at war
So I don’t have to worry
He knows what’s in store
And there’s peace in trusting the Lord
Yes there's peace in trusting the Lord
Below are the full song lyrics to Peace In Trusting. Please read them. Take a moment to ponder these words and let the soak into your soul.

God only knows how I’ve cried
Heartbroken and my hands are tied
But He’s been faithful time and time again
And although I don’t know how it ends
Chorus
There’s peace in trusting the Lord
Peace when my faith and fear are at war
So I don’t have to worry
He knows what’s in store
And there’s peace in trusting the Lord
Yes there's peace in trusting the Lord

If His will should not go my way
If the answer is not what I prayed
Then I'll trust Him for what I can't see
Cause I know He knows whats best for me
Chorus
There’s peace in trusting the Lord
There is peace peace peace
Peace when my faith and fear are at war
So I don’t have to worry
He knows what’s in store
