Vintage View Vednesday - More Alaska With 2015

Praise God for His help last night in revival. I am constantly amazed at His grace and mercy and strength. He is in control, yet there is still work for you and me to do. God's people have a part to play in this pestilence. I want to be faithful to my duties!

Vintage View Vednesday
Last week I had pictures from our Alaska trip in 2015 with our parents and Steve and Karen. Well, that was just the start. I have 100 more pictures for you today.

These pictures bring back wonderful memories of happy times spent with our families. I am smiling from ear to ear as I type this. I hope you enjoy Vintage View Vednesday!

A Change of Plans In Napier, New Zealand

Revival rolls on. We are socially distant but spiritually in sync. These are crazy times, but a perfect time for a revival. Come have revival with us at 8:00 PM Eastern time.

A Change of Plans In Napier, New Zealand
Ok, today we are flipping back the pages of the calendar to the middle of last month. In fact, it was Sunday March 15. I have some beautiful pictures to show you.

It was not supposed to be our last day in New Zealand, but the world was changing and our trip changed with it. It was Sunday and we had planned to be at a church in Napier, New Zealand. It was only a few miles from the port and that made me smile. It was right on the bus line and that made me smile again.

However, the coronavirus was heating up and although we had no reason to believe that we had been exposed to it, I reminded the Pastor that we were on a ship. The last thing in the world I wanted was for the church people to be scared to death of me.

We were set to walk out the door and go to church when I heard back from the Pastor. After several minutes of back and forth, he told me that our mode of transport was fine with him and his wife, but there may be a family or two with small children that might be a bit apprehensive. He left the decision up to me.

Well, that took me about two seconds to decide. We were ready for church, we wanted to be in church, we really, really wanted to be in church with them that particular day, but it is impossible to meet and minister to people in any meaningful way if my very presence has the potential to frighten them.

Obviously, that was the totally right decision to make in hindsight, but I hated it at the moment. Maybe we will make it to Napier, New Zealand again someday, but I hope they move a little closer to the USA first.😇

That freed us up for the day with no previous plans, but that was no problem at all. We took the shuttle into town, toured the Aquarium, walked through the main shopping district and then plopped down on a bench and looked at the beautiful water.

We ran into Bro. Bruce and Sis. Priscilla Mayhan twice that day and that is always a good thing. I think we have a few pictures of them that day.

We had a small church service among ourselves in the wedding chapel. I think it was Sunday evening after supper when we did that, but I could be mistaken. There were only 8 of us, so we would qualify crowd wise even by today's standards.

We did not take any pictures during our impromptu service, but we did take a group picture and also a few pictures while we were out and about in Napier, New Zealand.

Unfortunately, there were more plans to change Sunday evening. It has already been announced that New Zealand was not allowing any more ships within its borders. However, we were already in New Zealand so they were going to allow us to visit the remaining ports on the schedule.

Sunday night that all came to a screeching halt. Australia called our ship and other ships back to port immediately. Our ship began to comply right then and we turned toward Sydney. It would take us from Sunday night to Thursday morning to cut between the north and south island and to cross the 1000 miles of mildly angry Tasman Sea, but we pulled into port very early Thursday morning.

That wraps up our trip, because I already told you about the Sydney to Tennessee leg.

Hey, thank you for reading today.

What's Up, Weekend?

Prayer Request
Our dear friends in Ellisville and Richton, Mississippi had some very rough weather yesterday afternoon. Some of them did have some property damage, but praise God, our friends are safe. Others in their area were not so fortunate. Please pray for the folks there and other places in the south that were hit with tornados and high winds.

What's Up, Weekend?
We had a super great Easter weekend filled with good food and wonderful services. We had revival services Friday night and Saturday night, Easter Sunday morning Livestream next door at Dodds Pentecostal Church and Sunday Night Singalong Sunday night. We also sang and testified on the Livestream at London First Pentecostal Church and Pastor Vernon Jarvis.

Yes, it was a wonderful weekend.

KJo keeps knocking it out of the park with her tacos!

Friday Odie invited us over for a scrumptious lunch!

Saturday was lawn mowing day. I wanted the yard to look great on Easter Sunday for all of the people that would normally have parked next door for church. Unfortunately, the people could not come, but the yard looked good anyway.😅😅

I have been preaching for 20 days to Kelly Jo and the four walls of the garage. Sunday morning my congregation grew by leaps and bounds. Pastor Kelly Rogers was there and my sister Theresa and her husband Jay were in the service as well. Jay was teaching Sunday School the hour before so they stayed for the service and kept their distance. It was great to preach to three people!

We appreciate Pastor Kelly Rogers inviting us in for Easter. We had other invitations after his invitation, but he was first. He was also the closest, but it seemed to take way too long to move our sound equipment over there Saturday night. We must be getting soft or losing our edge by missing our normal routine.

I tried to Livestream the service at Dodds this morning, but it kicked off after one minute and I did not know it. It is in our Mixlr archive. You can view the service on the Dodds YouTube Page.

This is the Mixlr page for Boggs Family Ministries. Once you are on the page, look for showreel and that will take you to the archived services.

Pastor Jarvis and his technical folks did something really neat during the Easter Sunday Livestream at London First Pentecostal. They incorporated a slideshow of all their church people so that everyone could "see" everyone on Easter. I smiled all the way through it. You can see the service HERE. It should start as the slideshow is getting started.

The weekend ended with the 21st night of revival and our Sunday Night Singalong. How in the world can this be so much fun?

We are praising God for His help and we are rolling on in revival all this week. Tell someone about revival and let's have church!

Thank you for stopping by for a few minutes today.

Easter View Out The Front Window 4/12/2020

Women are shocked to find Jesus’ tomb empty

Have you ever considered the historical fact that Jesus Christ, the son of God, rose from the dead three days after He was crucified? It is a fact that changed the world and still changes lives today. Praise God that He conquered death, hell and the grave!

Here is my favorite poem.

He Wouldn’t Stay Dead
by: Willard G. Thomas

They laid His body in Joseph’s new tomb
And filled His disciples with sorrow and gloom
They did not remember what He had said
That He would die, but He wouldn’t stay dead

Mary came at the break of day
And found the stone was rolled away
She saw an angel and in terror fled
And told His disciples that He didn’t stay dead.

In that cold dark tomb He would not stay
He conquered death and walked away
And now that old grave has lost its fear and dread
He lives again! He wouldn’t stay dead

Full atonement and pardon were made
And forever the sin debt was marked fully paid
The price was His blood as it flowed crimson red
And I’m thankful today that He didn’t stay dead!

Let’s go to our churches and cry aloud
Let’s go to the marketplace and talk to the crowd
Let’s go to the mission fields that lie up ahead
And tell the whole world that He didn’t stay dead!

Because if Jesus Christ had only died
Then the gulf between us and God would still be wide
But thank God He did what He said
He got up out of the ground, He couldn’t stay dead!

May God bless you with a great day! Thank you for spending a few minutes with us.

Happy Easter!

Hey Friends,

Happy Easter weekend, this is Odie checking in. This is the time that we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior. Easter 2020 definitely is not a "normal" Easter for anyone. We must stop and reflect on the fact that we have a Risen Savior. That is something that will never change.

I am so thankful that Jesus willingly gave His life on the cross. Now we can have eternal life. Christ died for our sins so that you and I would not have to die.

Jesus paid the sin debt for the entire world before we were even born. All you have to do is ask Him to be your Savoir. You can talk to Him this very moment.

The story does not end with the death and burial of Jesus Christ. Praise God, He did not stay dead. On the third day, He arose from the grave! Our Savior is forever alive!

Today He is in Heaven with the Father. Those that are saved will join them in Heaven very soon. What a wonderful thing we have to look forward to when this life is over.

Do you need hope for these uncertain times? Jesus Christ is the answer that you are searching for. Trouble does not magically disappear for the Christian, but we have hope. Jesus is always with us! He is the only thing that is constant and dependable! We can survive life because of Jesus.

Do you feel like you do not know how to pray? Talk to Him just like you would talk to your best friend. It does not have to be an elaborate prayer.

I am reminded of a scripture that gives us hope through Christ. It is found in the Bible, in the book of I John verse number nine.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
I John 1:9 KJV

Here is an idea of how to begin your prayer. Some call this the ABCs of salvation, ask, believe and confess. This is just a good starting point. Ask Jesus to be your Savior, tell Him that you believe that He died for you, and confess to Him that you know that you are a sinner.

Also here are some other things that you can pray about. Ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life. Ask Him to cleanse your heart from the darkness that has bound you. Jesus loves you! Friend, you a not alone with Jesus in your life.

Prayer does not end at salvation. It is our line of communication with our Heavenly Father through His son Jesus. He is always available for us to talk to Him.

The Bible is God's Holy Word. It is the road map for life to the Christian. I recommend the King James Version for English speaking people. If you do not have access to a Bible, you can use Google to find free ways to read it online. Also, you can download free apps on your phone or other devices.

If you have prayed today for Christ to enter your life, please reach out to us and let us know! Click here to contact us. We would love to hear from you!

Online Revival
We are in week three of our online revival. Have you joined us for any of the services? God has really been blessing us. It is so sweet and special to feel Him so near us. Thank you to all of our friends for giving us encouraging feedback. We thank God for visiting you too! We will be live tonight on Mixlr and YouTube at 8PM eastern time. Each service is archived if you have missed them.

I hope you have a great Easter Sunday tomorrow. God bless you, friends.
