The Green Machine’s New Look

Hey Friends,

Most of you will remember our beloved car, “The Green Machine.” The 2006 envy green Scion XB joined our family in 2012.

That vehicle was well loved, used and known across the country as a member of our family. We drove it, towed it behind the BoggsMobile, and rode it in the tent trailer for many thousands of miles. It was a workhorse that served us well!

We retired it as our main vehicle in 2020. Then went on to be useful to us around home.

Last year we sent the car to Bro. Whiffen in Florida. He always said he wanted it when we were done with it.

Bro. Whiffen and his family have worked hard on it. They have it back in good working order. He corrected several issues.

Then it needed body work. Bro. Whiffen took it to Pastor Dewayne Watson in Dothan, Alabama.

Bro. Dewayne and his family worked long and hard on the Green Machine. Daddy would say they have it shining like new money. It looks so spiffy.

Bro. Whiffen shared pictures with us last night. He said I could post them here.

This makes us so happy. They even left a memorial to Dad on the back window. It is so sweet.

The Watson family are long-time dear friends of ours. Back in Joplin, Missouri, Dad was preaching revival for Bro. Watson. Michael Watson was a toddler. During Dad’s message Michael yells to my Dad “Go Cool Cat.” We laughed so hard. It was a running joke in our families, and from then on Dad and Michael called each other “Cool Cat”! Michael is now grown and in the picture up above.

We still get questions about the Green Machine. I thought you might like an update. See you tomorrow.

Odie
