Sunday Sanity 10/12/25

 Hey Friends,

Good morning, it is already Sunday morning here in Oklahoma. I am just heading to bed to rest before church this morning.

We are having an extraordinary fellowship meeting at Bethany this weekend. I hope to have pics tomorrow.

Today’s Sanity comes from Bro. James Burgess. This statement encouraged me.

He was speaking of how we can't just be healed by ignoring a problem or denying that we are sick. However, we can choose to defy our reality by believing that God can and will heal us.

God doesn’t want you to deny reality. He wants you to defy reality!”

Sunday Sanity 10/5/25

 Hey Friends,

Good morning, I hope you are having a fantastic Sunday! Today's nugget of sanity comes from a note that I found in Dad’s sanity possibilities.

"The test of our love for Jesus is our obedience to him, but the greatest test of our love for Jesus is our obedience without needing an explanation."

God bless!

Word For The Weary 9/29/25

 Hey Friends,

Here is a Word For The Weary  on this beautiful fall Monday. Our Pastor preached from this text, Isaiah 43:1, yesterday morning.

I have read this scripture many times, but it resonated with me yesterday. This is a personal verse for everyone of us reading. There are not any exclusions that apply. Remember you are valuable!

The Lord formed and created me and you. He tells us to not fear. He is our Savior, Redemer and friend. God also knows all of us by our names.

Life is heavy for so many right now.  My heart hurts for my friends. It seams like I hear several more urgent requests everyday. They are dear people truly needing help from God. He is the only one that can move in most of these needs!

But on the flip side He is able to work in every situation! We do not understand God’s purpose, plan or timing. He is God of the universe and we are just humans. Yet He is still concerned about our lives!

What a awesome God we serve. He is always with us! I thought of this old song yesterday. I am so glad that we do not have to bear the burdens of life alone!

Before I go today, don't forget you can listen to our new project, digitally. Here is more information.

The CD's and USB drives are in the duplication phase. They will soon be available for order.

Thanks for stopping by to visit. We love our precious readers. You are in our prayers. Please join us in praying for the family of God!

Sunday Sanity 9/28/25

 Hey Friends,

Happy Sunday from the Ohio beach cottage. We are delighted to be home today to be in service at DRPC. I am expecting a great Sunday!

Last Sunday, we ended up traveling halfway home. Before we hit the road, we attended one more service in Richton. Pastor Scott Morris preached a message that was God anointed!

It was just what Mom and I needed to hear! It was incredibly special to know that we were on God's mind. His presence was so sweet!

Here is one of the nuggets that I gleaned from the message. Sometimes I am so involved that it's hard for me to jot the nuggets down! I need to go back here to watch the service again to retain more of the message.

There is nothing wrong with showing emotions in your trial.  It is when you let your emotions control you that it's wrong”

Thanks for reading! I'll see you all tomorrow!

God’s Faithfulness And Mercy

 Hey Friends,

Yesterday was a travel day for us. We made the short trip back to Cantonment, FL from Pratville, Alabama.

It was a smooth day! The weather was perfect, and we enjoyed the sunshine! At one point, I was amazed by the beauty of the clear blue sky and clouds!

Pictures can not do it justice! God’s creation amazes me! I thought of the scripture in Psalm 36. I had to look it up.

“Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; And thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭36‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I am grateful for the Lord’s faithfulness and new mercies daily! It is stacked to the Heavens above, yet we experience it here on earth!

Thanks for reading!

Sunday Sanity 8/31/25

 Hey Friends,

Happy Sunday. Thank you for stopping by for a moment of your day! We are still in Prattville, Alabama, for the meeting at Summit Holiness Church.

Today’s sanity comes from Pastor Philip Deane’s message on Wednesday night. He was preaching on having faith for right now.

It is easy to rejoice in things God has done in the past. We can believe He will move in the future.  Amid the battle, I can struggle to believe for right now.

Bro. Philip made this statement that jumped out at me! His whole message really encouraged me that night, and the current need I am facing.

“Don't let the devil cause you to procrastinate on what God wants to do for you now!”

Pastor Philip Deane-
Beams of Light Cantonment, Florida

Keep believing for NOW!

Word For The Weary 8/28/25

 Hey Friends,

Thank you for joining me today. Yesterday I was having a rough day. I have been dealing with an ongoing health issue.

We have been working with my doctor to get it resolved. We have changed medications multiple times. Every time I feel hopeful and seem to be making progress. Then the same issue comes back! I have been dealing with it again lately.

Yesterday, I had a pre-scheduled check-in phone call with the doctor. She wanted me to change up the way I take the medicine, but keep trying the current medication for a couple more months. Hopefully, that will resolve my issue.

Please pray with me! This is a small thing compared to so many other pressing needs of our family and friends. This is my need, and nothing is to hard for God!

I want to avoid another surgery, but that may be our next step if this current plan does not work. I am exhausted! This week, I have been physically and emotionally drained! My close circle of family and friends has been helping me shoulder this load. I am so thankful for them!

When I opened my Bible app yesterday, the verse of the day was just for me! Often, the verse of the day is right on target for my current life.

I thought this verse might be a Word For The Weary today. I found comfort in the reminder of this message.

Yes, I know this truth, and believe it with all my heart! But I needed to read it again! I am glad God’s word is still alive and real for today.

Thank you for reading. See you tomorrow!

DRPC Indoor 2025 Preaching Notes

 Hey Friends,

Last week was our annual Indoor Campmeeting at DRPC. The entire meeting was incredible. Check last week’s posts, Wednesday-Saturday, for pictures from each day.

God was there to save, set free, encourage, heal and bless people with the Holy Ghost! I can not describe the awesome power of God with my words!

Here are my notes from the preaching we heard during the meeting. Pastor Michael Switzer from Bristol, Virginia preached the 7PM service nightly. Pastor Dwain Galiher from West Plains, Missouri was the 10AM speaker, along with visiting ministers. The 6PM vesper service was also visiting ministers.
